Although admittedly, I had never heard of PierVana before Billie started working there, I was very impressed. It's located downstairs in a California-type shopping building off Shelburne Road. It's extremely peaceful and smells great. I felt very comfortable and perhaps even like I was in some other place far away from Burlington. Billie gives the most amazing mid-pressure Swedish massages you will ever have. I kid you not. I know massages are subjective, but unless you like those massages that hurt and you have to grind your teeth together to not scream out, you will love Billie's massages (actually, perhaps she can even give the kind of massages that hurt - it wouldn't surprise me, she's very skilled). Billie also gives facials. I have only had mini ones from her, but she has the magic touch, so I'm sure the full-length ones are fantastic, too. Do yourself a favor and if you can get in, book a massage with her :)

Her response only shows her level of unprofessionalism and dishonesty. I am seeking a FULL refund as I have from the beginning of her non attention to her mistake!***** Unprofessional from the beginning and I should have listened to my instinct. I booked an appointment over a month in advance for a full highlight and trim. I specified what I needed / wanted from the beginning. The owner of the salon, Ellie, said it Would not be a problem as she had decades of experience. After booking, about one week away from my appointment, I received a text stating I was booked for a partial highlight and cut. This made me nervous. I called and no one answered so I left a message and emailed to confirm my appointment was for a full and a trim. I was assured it was, but never received a call only an email. Ellie and I had several in-depth emails describing what I wanted / needed, I showed Ellie a picture. She said it was not a problem. When the appointment began we again consulted and I showed her a picture. She assured not a problem. She continued to trim my hair before beginning and then put in foils and shampooed. Unknown to me she was also using other treatments. I was never asked if I wanted any of these, she just did them. I have never had a stylist simply apply product I should have been charged for. At the end of the appointment she began styling my hair and I asked if she could finish framing my face, as I never received an actual cut. This was extremely unprofessional and the "trim" she did looks awful and uneven and my face is not framed. I then paid for what I thought was a full highlight and trim. I thought it was VErY high but chose to think the best and that she would address the color issue if need be because she knew I was not happy and reassured me. I also tipped accordingly as I thought she would stand behind her work. What stylist wants their customer to look like a skunk?! The result of this experience was anything except what I wanted. I expressed this via email, as she never answers the phone, and was met with little empathy or desire to make the client happy from the Ellie. I paid for what I believed was a full high and trim. It was almost $300 after all. Instead, Ellie told me the yellow would fade in a few days, it has not, and she only booked and charged me for a partial, and she only charged me extra for one service and a $65 haircut. She said she had not paid attention to the issue of a full or partial, even though she confirmed a full, highlight as she is not a receptionist. She went on to state the prices online are out dated and if I wanted more fouls or anything fixed I needed to pay more. Any issues regarding her prices were a result of my "personal budgeting" issues. So not only do I get what I paid for, but now I have to pay her to fix her mistake. In no world does this make sense to me. End result, I have yellow hair on the top of my head and deep, dark brown underneath, and no hair cut. She has made NO effort to actually fix HER mistake. STAY AWAY unless you like throwing money down the drain...better yet do something useful with it and give it away to someone in need. HORRIBLE!!!!!

Here's the longer story for me: Book early, it's hard to find spots at good times around my work hours. I think that speaks to their loyal customer base. I booked out several weeks so I could get an appointment with Katie at the same time my kid was getting her hair cut. Unfortunately, Katie texted me the night before asking about rescheduling as she was ill. Normally I'd be fine with this, but I'm also leaving on vacation in a few days and my hair was just so so sad. I let Katie know this and she was able to get me booked at the same time with Britnee. I was thrilled that I was able to get an appointment on such short notice. About midday the day of the appointment I got a text asking if we could come in 45 minutes earlier than our schedule time. Not a big deal at all for us and we were able to get there on time. We were both sat right away. Now, here's where the magic really started happening. Let me just say Britnee is an absolute goddess. She had me send a picture of my current hair style and what I was looking for before hand and she was well prepared to talk about my hair and how the style would sit. She spent time with me to ask about my routine to include shampoo scheduling, morning routine, and what products I use. I opted for the extra styling add on and she legitimately too the time to teach me how to do my hair. This is what I've needed. She was so careful with every clip of the scissors and communicated what she was doing every step of the way. Now, this was without a doubt the most expensive haircut I've ever gotten for myself, but for how I feel right now it was worth every cent. Just amazing.

Two weeks after my hair-cut appointment, I received a phone call informing me that we were "not a good fit." For a moment, I thought perhaps my hair had filed a complaint without telling me. I calmly asked why--not to argue or change anyone's mind, but simply to understand so I could learn something for future appointments. The answer? Still, "We're not a good fit." Apparently my assignment was to solve this mystery with no clues...and no stylist's notes. What made this especially disappointing was that this wasn't just a routine color appointment. We had spent considerable time discussing what I believed would be a long-term transition plan to gradually blend my colored hair into my natural gray using lower-chemical products. My understanding was that it would be a careful process that could take a year or two, with appointments lasting hours along the way. I left excited to begin that journey. So the unexpected phone call two weeks later was genuinely shocking. Looking back, perhaps we truly weren't "a good fit." That's perfectly okay. I wasn't looking for a friendship--I was looking for an experienced colorist who could guide me through this transition. If she had simply said, "I don't think I'm the right person for this project," I would have completely respected that. I just wish she had communicated more clearly and specifically and reminded me of the transition plan we had discussed so I could continue my search intelligently with another colorist. Instead, I was left wondering if my hair had committed a crime while I wasn't looking. One star for communication. Five stars for creating the only salon experience where I left needing a detective instead of a conditioner.
