I've been very pleased with Kathleen's work. She has done everything from replacing zippers in my husband's slacks to shortening my skirts and dresses. She has even repurposed a couple of my dresses into more practical skirts. Matter-of-fact, I need to make another appointment with her as I've two very long dresses that were for formal wear and I now wish to have them shortened so I can wear them for casual events. By the way I am petite and am under 5 ft. tall so finding something to fit me off the rack is almost impossible, and the last dress I bought was a size 0 I also had a very old skirt that I adored but it was starting to fade and show its age. Kathleen used the old skirt as a pattern and created a new one out of similar fabric. The new skirt has become one of my favorites. Kathleen is very pleasant to do business with, she is attentive and listens to what I want. I have and will continue to recommend her to my friends and family. Kathleen did good work on my things. I'm a grown woman, but I am tiny (I'm 4'9", 104 lbs) so finding grown up clothes like business suits, etc. is nearly impossible- I assume everything I buy will need alterations. I had a great tailor in D.C. with whom I spent a small fortune, and I've been looking for one here for 6 years. I had two jackets altered, sleeves hemmed (no buttons) and pants hemmed. I was between jobs and I needed a suit for interviews, so I asked for that piece to be rushed. I dropped off the items, and picked up the suit jacket in time for my interview. I got the job, and told Kathleen I would pick up the rest of the items the following week, but my new job was in South Sarasota, I live in Northwest Bradenton, and I didn't anticipate the traffic. I couldn't make it from work to her shop in time. I called her to explain, and she got mad at me. She threatened to give my things to goodwill. It was very upsetting. Once I settled in at my job, I took a half day off work to go pick up my items, and she had the nerve to say she was ok with me and she would do work for me again. I'm glad she isn't angry with me anymore, but I will never go back, one, because I can't get there without taking time off from work, and two, because she made me feel like an inconvenience for seeking her services. read more

Kathleen does high quality work which I think is so important. I always know she will do a great job on all my alterations. If you want quality work and will pay and wait for it this is your place. If you want cheap and fast this isn't your place. I have been pleased with every item she has altered for me. I would give her a 10 star rating if that was an option! read more

Purchased a wedding dress that needed zipper to be fixed,was referred by a friend and took my wedding dress to kreations by Kathleen. I asked her if the zipper needs to be replaced and she stated that it does not and should be fine with her just fixing it sow a bottom part so it doesn't split. She also took a size down from my dress and made it fit me. I went to try it on it was fine however on the day of the wedding the wedding dress zipper split and I had to be sown into my wedding dress by my cousin. I paid 175 dollars for her to take an inch and a half off and fix the zipper which I didn't have a problems paying. I also referred one of my bridesmaids which also paid her for shortening her bridesmaids dress. I called her couple of day after the wedding and she didn't even know who she was talking to , I explained to her what happened she didn't even show emphaphy she did ask me to bring in the wedding dress so that she could look at it, mind you I drove all of the way from Sarasota Clark rd to Bradenton so that she can take a look at the dress. I stopped by the same day with the dress and she looked at it and gave me a deal to go half and half and she will replace a zipper which was 60 dollars. I told her that it was her fault the dress zipper split and if the zipper was the problem she should of replaced it in the first place she didn't care and she wanted to milk more money off me . I would never recommend her for anyone who needs something some with their wedding dress because your dress my just split on the day of your wedding and when you call her she will tell you to come by and try to charge you more money. read more
