I took in a pair of tiered ruffle pants to be shortened. I asked that the seamstress remove extra fabric but not take it from the bottom because the pants would lose a ruffle. Instead I asked that he remove extra fabric from above the ruffles. He removed the extra fabric as I requested but then sewed an entirely new visible seam right through the middle of each pant leg! I don't know why he couldn't have sewn the ruffle panels and new seam as one to make it less noticeable. When I brought this to the attention of the owner, she was quite rude and repeated over and over again about the way he sewed the pants, as if I couldn't see it for myself. She even said that I must not know anything about sewing (which I actually do) otherwise I should just do it myself. She failed to even listen to me and comprehend the way I had requested and suggested the seam be sewn. She never apologized for the misunderstanding or way in which the sewing had been done. Thank goodness I only paid $15c but now I have seams in my pant legs they hadn't been there before and didn't want at all. This was a very disappointing experience. I will be using a different seamstress from now on. read more

I gave her my jacket to put in a new zipper over 5 weeks ago. I tried to call them today which is one of the 4 days they are open from 9 to 1 and only got a recording. I went to check on jacket and nothing had been done. In fact she measured the zipper in front of me and suggested it would take 2 weeks to get it which by now she should have already done. She further suggested I order the zipper for her. There is no service here at all. They look like a warehouse of stuff that obviously like mine has not been completed. The worst thing is they do not show any care as to completing the work so I took my jacket to another store and it will be ready in 7 days. I am through with them. read more

Cristy is so so rude...stay as far away as you can from this establishment. My husband took in 2 pair of pants, one top of mine and a skirt that only needed to be fixed where stiching was coming apart. Not a huge project. We were told it would be ready in a week.Went back a week later still not finished. Told it would be ready that Friday which has now been l0days. Went in on Friday at around two to be told to come back at 5:00. Three trips for a small job. Lousy customer service. Had the nerve to tell us we were rude..some people!!! Stay away!!! read more

I have used Cristy several times in the past to alter a prom dress, hem pants, and to repair a bag. I stopped in recently to seek advice about a parka that was almost completely finished, but for the sewing of trim down the front, which was pinned. I was met at the counter by her mom, with Cristy sitting at a desk nearby. I explained to her mom that my mom had just died a couple of weeks before and I had found this nearly completed parka project, pattern included. I showed the completed parka to her with simply the trim left to add, which had been pinned down the front. She said that they were busy, but that Cristy would "make the call." She turned to Cristy, who rolled her eyes, got up from her chair and walked to the counter. Cristy looked at the parka in my hands and said, "We're busy, and I don't have the mental energy to figure out what's going on with this." She promptly turned around and walked away from the counter. Not one more word. I stood at the counter alone, re-folding the garment and packing it back into the bag. Neither Cristy, nor her mother said one more word to me while I was preparing to leave. I certainly understand being busy. I'm not angry that they didn't have time. I do, however, think that when a customer comes to your "custom sewing" shop, tells you their mother just died and asks if you are able to sew a pinned trim down the front, it is rude to 1. roll your eyes, 2. say you don't have the "mental energy" to look at the garment and sew something, and 3. walk away with not one additional word of closure, such as "thank you for understanding" or "it is unfortunate that I don't have the time." While I had thought I had a good business to patronize, I now feel that she is truly one of the rudest and most unkind people, and I would not recommend her services. read more

Horrible experience. Very rude and extremely unprofessional to the point I was hung up on by Cristy. Brought in 2 bridesmaids dresses for my daughters. One dress needed a hem and the other needed more work. Never received a phone call to say if dresses were ready. Wedding is out of State and we told Cristy this at the first fitting. Had to call every week to see if they were done. Went for second fitting 2 weeks later after calling to see if we could come back in. We were told to come back in another week after that fitting and they would be done and we would receive a call. Again, never received a call. Called the store and were told she hadn't gotten around to them yet but come in an hour or 2 and they would be done. The girls went in, "seamstress" (Cristy) never even came out of the back room to make sure the dresses fit. My daughter came home and showed me the dress. It was a disaster. Still needed to be fixed again. I don't believe the second sewing was ever even completed. Tried calling the store several times only to get a busy signal. When I finally got through I was asked what I would like her to do this late in the day. I explained to her I had called several times but received a busy signal. She said not her fault and she was not open on the weekends and we leave for the wedding on Monday. I asked why the seamstress would not be present for the final fitting and she stated she was in the back room and she knew the dress would fit from the previous fitting and if my daughter was not happy with it she should not have taken it home. I AGAIN explained to her we are leaving for an out of state wedding and would not have been able to come in today as we work during the day so can not leave the dress. At this point Cristy asked what exactly I wanted, or was I just calling to complain and when I tried to respond she hung up on me. We paid $94 for these alterations over a 3 week period and will need to take it to a new seamstress when we head up for the wedding and pray they can fix the mess Cristy has made of this dress. Please beware and don't waste your time energy and money with this shop. I will post pics of the dress the way Cristy "altered" it and then when it gets corrected. read more
