I initially signed up because I thought the tree was cute and wanted some more Christmas decor, and the price of the workshop was really reasonable, so I thought why not? The workshop far exceeded my expectations in terms of ease and information! Michele was super knowledgeable about the materials/paint/techniques, and it inspired me to start dabbling into the idea of painting some of my own furniture. Or at least some of my own pieces rather than buying them at Hobby Lobby! :p It was super easy to pick up the materials, and there was more than enough leftover for using the materials for another DIY project. Can't wait to try one of their in-person workshops!

I was curious about it, so I looked up the business on Yelp, saw the pictures & I immediately wanted to go to this cute vintage store! I love antiques, hrifting & everything vintage! I went the very same day & spent a good hour in there looking at all of the beautiful & specially curated vintage pieces that have probably come from all over the world, considering the brand, manufacturer & time period of each piece. The prices range from very very reasonable to pricey depending on the item. There are very rare antique items in there that justify the price but also very reasonable prices on many beautiful pieces. Take your time & really look at every nook & cranny of this beautiful store to see what catches your eye or if you're looking for something in particular. I am sure you will find something you love & will display proudly in your home! Treasures & some hidden treasures are in every corner! I was sweetly greeted by the store Owner, Gina. She was so nice & helpful to me while I was looking around & we chatted for a good 15min about her store & the different vendors & pieces she sells there. She is very knowledgeable & is very helpful with any questions you may have! I also chatted with a few other sweet ladies that were shopping & it was just a really comfortable vibe in there with other thrifting gals! We scrambled for a last-minute change of plans, and it turned out to be absolutely perfect. They were incredibly accommodating: we hosted the birthday party right in the studio, decorated the space, brought our own food and non-alcoholic drinks, and set up a special designated area for the birthday girl and her friends. Laura and Bob were beyond patient and so helpful with the kids, guiding them every step of the way to make sure everything came out just right. The selection of pottery pieces is huge (overwhelming in the best way) and they even surprised us with a complimentary plate featuring all her friends' little fingerprints. What a thoughtful touch! It was such a fun, creative day, and everyone stayed nice and dry. Highly recommend for families, especially when plans go sideways.

Employees are very helpful and friendly, and can often be seen restocking merchandise. Maybe a month from the holiday there's turbo sale on those items. Love doing Black Friday shopping here too, crazy discounts. Definitely double check that, super cheap. For the latest updates on events, follow their instagram @colormeminecovina! They have so many special events that cater to various interests and groups and ages and truly anyone can enjoy here. I came back for my 5th time on Valentine's Day with my boyfriend and we had the best time. We chose the 6:30p-8:30p slot, and paid $50 for the special event table reservation (included a couples caricature). I know they had a later Valentine's reservation slot from 9-11pm and those couples got a little heart shaped trinket tray as part of their $50 fee. The table reservation cost does NOT include the price of the pottery you choose. They have a wide selection of pottery pieces you can choose from at varying price points so everyone can find something they will love to paint during the time. They had a new astrology jar with a lid that i've never seen before and instantly fell in love. My partner needed a bit more time to choose a piece, and decided on a dragon wrapped around a tower that will include a tea light for later to light up the tower (super cool). The two pieces were less than $100 total ($36 for the jar and $54? for the tower dragon) which is around the price I was expecting to pay. Note that my boyfriend and I showed up at 6:15 to look at the pottery early and we were thankful we did because it gave us extra time to paint without feeling a super tight time crunch. The staff was super sweet and attentive and remembered me from past times I've been there, which makes me feel more comfortable and happy there. They were checking tables frequently and making sure paint was always available and refilled for our use. They also gave us time checks to let us know how much time we had left which was appreciated. It is important to remember that 1 coat will leave a lighter finish while 3 coats will create a more opaque finish. They had a card on the table that said more than 3 coats of paint can warp your piece during the drying process or even cause an explosion due to trapped air between paint layers so do be aware! You also have to leave your pottery for up to a week so it can fully dry and bake in the kiln so the glaze hardens and becomes all shiny and beautiful. I have been happy with every piece I have made at Color Me Mine Covina and I will definitely keep recommending it to those around me because it really is that fun and enjoyable of an experience.

It's actually pretty relaxing and quite fun to do! Also, I think making a plate is useful since you get to use it daily! Since the night was Hello Kitty it was filled with a large selection of the Sanrio characters plus some of them wearing the Dodger hat. I picked a heart plate to decorate. You can pick whichever colors you want and then make it your own. You won't get the plate right away it will take a little while but I can't wait to see how it turns out!

I walked up to the front door 3 min early to wait. They let me in a minute early unexpectedly, which was kind. My mission? To order balloons for a friend's husband's 60th birthday which is happening at another friend's house tomorrow. Rebecca helped me at the front, explaining how I choose balloons, pay for them, and then she would fill out an order form for my exact request. Latex balloons are 12 for $12. I decided I wanted the mylar ones because my friend wanted gold and silver balloons and they were shinier. I chose 1 round black one with 60 on it and silver and gold confetti design, then two gold and three silver balloons of different shapes. I'll post pictures of them when I pick them up tomorrow. I was in and out of there in 10 minutes. Rebecca was kind, patient, and helpful. I also purchased the weights to hold the balloon arrangements since the party would be outside. You can choose what color ribbon so I chose matching as opposed to white. I'm thrilled Michael's has balloons now! It's super convenient. You order ahead of time in person or online (not on the phone). Additional notes on pickup day: the balloons were ready for 1p.m. pickup as requested. Very pleased with the result. The one on Mountain use to be my go to place. Imagine me walking from the Montclair Mall to Micheal's on Mountain inUpland for fabrics. The other day I was in Micheal's La Verne waiting for my ride when another costumer was talking about the stores and Joan's closing. I told her this Micheal's would be my favorite if only they carried fabric. One of the employees walked by and overhead the conversation and said to us "OH we would be carrying fabric starting next month. That was in January. We'll, it's next month February just finishing up a soft-sculpture. Going shopping for her wardrobe fabric. I already have her jewelry. From Micheal's of course. See you soon Micheal's La Verne.
