My dog had experienced some trauma, and a wait this long to be assessed for a bleed was unacceptable to me. Great staff. Great Vet. But pharmacy gouging and lack of availability are unacceptable to me, and I will be switching back to my local vet.

I have seen several of their vets and their techs and they make me and my dog feel welcome and comfortable. In general wait times are typical and it is evident that all the workers adore pets. I also appreciate how they work to distract my dog for shots (licking peanut butter) and always provide treats to help the dogs feel more at ease.

In this year and a half search, it has cost me the life of my very beloved fur baby, which broke my heart, and changed my life forever, simply because that particular vet was not truthful with me. So I have become beyond skeptical and leery of any new vet I entrust with my remaining fur baby. Montgomery Animal Hospital and its staff is fabulous. The staff Julie and Nicki are educated--helpful, caring, and seems as though no matter how booked they are--if it is an emergency, they have fit us in. Dr Ben is sincere and truthful, that is so important to me after losing my girl because of false information from a different clinic. You need to be able to trust and believe in your vet as your fur baby can not tell you her/his symptoms, aches and pains. Dr Ben is up front, caring, genuine, and honest. He explains things so you fully understand, he answers any and all questions you have, and tells you to take time to think about it. He has never tried to push us into a decision, or hurry us in making a decision. He called over the holiday week end on his time off to give my daughter some info he had just received on her cat that she had been waiting on. I believe their devotion, sincere care for the animals, and clients- are a dying breed. I have found that too many clinics main concern is pushing a product, and making a profit. Which is what resulted in the death of my fur baby. Montgomery is also very reasonable. I was truly surprised at their prices. Its obvious they are not in this to get rich--they are in it because they care. I am so very happy I found this clinic, (referred to me by a friend) and this group of compassionate, dedicated, honest people. Worst veterinary appointment ever. I brought my 13 year old cat in for her first veterinary visit…read morewith this clinic. I wanted her seen for a few likely age related issues. This appointment included blood work. I was at the clinic on Monday and was told I should expect the lab results the next day. On Wednesday afternoon I called the clinic for the results. The employee answering the phone was full of apologies, and the usual customer service platitudes, but was unwilling to do anything else, stating that sometimes it takes a few days for lab results. I pressed further since I was told 24 hours for results. She finally got off her chair to check with someone who she said knew more. When she came back to the phone she said Dr. Gates would call me. Later that day when I received his call I was told that the blood had never been sent to the lab. Human error I was told. Fortunately these labs were not critical. If I had a sick cat, this error could have had quite undesirable consequences. I was told I could bring my cat in to have blood drawn again or have my money refunded for the labs. At this point I expressed my displeasure at the quality of service I was receiving: labs drawn on Monday and no one had even noticed they hadn't been sent out by Wednesday afternoon. What an arrogant young man Dr. Gates is. No apology of any kind or acceptance of any responsibility other than it was "human error" along with a very irritated attitude that I was expressing displeasure with his service. He said I was being disrespectful. When I asked what specifically I said that was disrespectful, I was told it was my "tone." Hmmm..... being told by a client that she is unhappy that her cat must go back for another traumatic vet visit due to his and his clinic's failure? At this point my "tone" did become a bit more heated, though not disrespectful. I requested my wasted money be returned for the entire vet visit, except for the Rabies vaccination, since I now have no confidence in the care he or his staff provide and I will need to establish care with another veterinary practice. I was told he would not refund my money since an examination was performed. Dr. Gates could have saved this situation by accepting responsibility for the errors he and his staff made, but apparently he is not able to accept being held accountable.
