This wasted valuable time and momentum. The MLS listing was also poorly handled. Photos included an unmade bed and a cluttered office, which reflected badly on the property and showed little effort or professional guidance on presentation. Even though we were told to de-personalize the home, we felt she went too far and stripped it of any warmth or character, making it less inviting to buyers. In the end, we sold for over $100,000 less than the asking price in part due to frustration and how the listing was being managed. To make matters worse, she was representing both us (the sellers) and the buyer. When we asked her to reduce her commission given the dual role and disappointing outcome, she refused. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Brenda Devlin to anyone seeking reliable, professional representation.

They lied and said escrow was opened, gave me a fake text message between them and escrow, when I checked the name of the escrow officer and escrow company, that person was non existent in that escrow company. Pretty sure Coachella Valley Home Buyers not only defraud me, they defraud the escrow company WFG Title Company because WFG title company has never opened an escrow of our transaction. I am going to file a complaint to the California Attorney General for fraud. Also contacting WFG Title Company Coachella Valley Home Buyers INC stole their company logo to make up an escrow in the text to me. See the text from their employee Lori. First she lied and said she doesn't represent any buyers, then I asked the buyer on the contract is Coachella Valley Home Buyers, so you work for that company right? Mr Strickland accepted our offer and advised me he can get me approved thru his lending company with a lower interest. Even thou we were already pre approved I decided to give him an opportunity. I received a call this evening 2/15/22 to advise my DTI was to high. I fully disagree. He didn't even give me the opportunity to explain why if it was true or needed. He said he decided to go with a different buyer. He only used that bogus excuse to accept a higher offer. I will be reporting him to the California department of real estate. These people are shady. Karma !
