As you step inside, one side is a liquid store, and the other is where the magic happens, Krispy Krunchy Chicken. It's all about grab-and go here as the setup doesn't allow for a sit-down meal. However, it's very clean on both sides! Keeping the chicken and the cash separate, you pay for your order at the liquor store counter after ordering. The food is amazing! I've had the Whole Wings (my go to), Red Beans and Rice, Jambalaya, and Mashed Potatoes(least favorite). I'm obsessed with the wings as they have crispiness for days, lol they even stayed fresh until I got them home. I'm not a big fan of Red Beans and Rice, but Krispy Krunchy's version is very flavorful. The Jambalaya is my favorite side, it's like a Cajun party in your mouth- it's meaty, flavorful, and addictive! The Honey Butter Biscuit and the Blueberry Biscuits are the prefect pairing with the chicken! They are moist, and full of flavor. Chicken was solid. Good flavor and seasoning but had sat in a warming counter top display for a while. Sides were generous portions and tasty. Service was solid. This past weekend I ordered a 12 pc mixed bone-in chicken for my son and I... When I got home I opened the box. Four wings, four thighs, and four legs...no chicken breasts. I called. Not a mistake. Corporate has made the decision to no longer serve bone-in split chicken breasts (my favorite piece). They didn't lower the price and it's not really mentioned on the site. Breasts are no longer an option on the add a piece though...and maybe I should have noticed that. I was told on the phone that KFC and Popeyes still sell them. Nice marketing? Lol I get that there's nothing the local franchise can do when it's a corporate model change... How about thinking outside of the box? Maybe explore a bone-in tenders combo box for those of us who want bone-in without losing the large chunks of white meat that comes with the breast pieces? While I'm still a KKC fan...their chicken is really pretty good...the crunchiness and seasoning anyway. I'm not a fan of their decision to stop selling breast pieces, not adjusting their prices, and simply referring me to one of their competitors. What I previously ranked at 5 Stars (Great) is now sliding to a mere 3 (OK). And honestly I'll probably take their advice. So I just had what I think is my tenth Krispy Krunchy chicken experience (the first at this location). I would have reviewed earlier but by the time I get home with this delicious fried chicken I'm too busy devouring it to think to do anything else. I have yet to have a bad experience at this Krispy Krunchy. The food is always fresh and hot. The chicken is flavorful, and crunchy as advertised. The side dishes compliment the chicken well. Most of our orders have been for classic on-the-bone chicken, but their tenders are also very tasty. There's a variety of good dipping sauces which you can use to jazz up your tenders or chicken legs, as you see fit (not that it is needed). This is a quick bite place to go! Located in the liquor store off the the right, they made some fresh fried chicken tenders for us since we got a family pack and it was worth it. Super tender, juicy, steamy hot, crispy outer layer (even with the drive back home it stayed crispy), and just the right amount of seasoning. It was listed as Cajun seasoning, but I would say it's more lighter and more of a salt and pepper seasoning, but instead of Cajun, but it was still good! You can actually taste the salt and pepper! Lol the meal comes with biscuits and fries. The fries were soft, crispy outside wedges. Cooked perfectly. We got blueberry biscuits and regular and they were good, but a bit too much in the crumbley side. Not dry though. We also got a side of Mac and cheese, jambalaya, and mashed potatoes. The Mac and cheese was okay, it's tender but the cheese was definitely processed valveeta cheese. The rice was very well seasoned and had bits of sausage with it. So it was spiced well, savory, and meaty. The mashed potatoes is reminiscent of KFC mashed potatoes and gravy. It's smooth, soft, and the gravy was savory. I don't believe it s made of real potatoes and more so flakes. So it was okay, just not homemade from scratch like the chicken. Overall, would definitely come again to get fried chicken! read more

The first thing you need to know is this is a fried chicken place inside a liquor store. There are no tables. It's strictly takeout. I love their chicken strips and pieces of chicken. Nice and hot, crispy and crunchy outside and ohh soo juicy inside. I'm not sure if it is injected or marinade, but I love the light Cajun flavor. This is on my regular take out list!! Yummy! They have some wonderful upper shelf liquor offerings (the best rum Ron Zacapa 23 yr old, etc...) not just all the bargain and obvious booze. Go here to buy those Christmas gifts for your GOOD friends. They told us it would be 20 minutes to fry up fresh chicken...no problem. Nicest people, and unlike some bizarre review here, they all do "speak English." ...what nonsense.... BTW, this is a very nice store, not some seedy corner liquor store.
