Kristen did our wedding a year ago (wow time flies). She did a spectacular job and listened to our input on what we wanted! She was able to get some fantastic candid photos of our entire group, the shots truly captured the feel the day had. A year later and I am still going through all the pictures she got. We also opted for Kristen to create our wedding album. Best decision we ever made, I have friends that got married before us that still don't have an album made. When you think of how many photos there are of the day it can be very overwhelming, and she took the stress completely out of it! Kristen was the second shooter at our wedding on October 19, 2013 in Livermore. We just got the pictures and are thrilled - I can't stop looking at them :) The photos are wonderful and they really captured the emotion of the day. Kristen was professional, well prepared, friendly, and fun to work with. How I first heard about Kristen was through a wedding expo that was in SJ and my friends did a photo shoot with her as well and recommended her to do or engagement photos. Mind, you that my fiance and I had done them before last year with another photographer. I contacted Kristen 8/26/14 through her website and she got back to me pretty quickly. I asked her if she was open for anytime in September that was on a weekend to possibly do the shoot and she told me September 14th which was great because that happened to be our anniversary and I thought that would be a great fun thing to do on our special day. She also gave me a date of September 28th. She did tell me that she would be changing her prices because she would no longer be offering stand alone engagement sessions but will honor it for us due to me contacting her before she made those changes. So okay the date has been set. She asked me if I had any ideas where I wanted to do the shoot and I told her where there are fields, trails, flowers, etc so she suggested parks that were in SJ and I looked at them and went with the one that I thought would be great. So I emailed her back to let her know that I wanted to do it in one of the parks that she suggested and the time. I got a automated email saying she was out of town. I'm thinking WTH! Why was this not communicated with me if I am going to be a potential client? So i swept that under the rug because it said that she was going to be back on 9/10/14. She emailed me back when she returned asking if I still wanted to set something up and I said yes and wanted to verify the park, the time, and how she took her payment. I did not hear back from her. Then today 9/13/14 I emailed her again asking to verify and confirm. She then tells me that the park requires a permit of $100. I'm like why was this not mentioned when you started emailing me about places? That could have been taken care of and there wouldn't be problems for tomorrow. I was not happy! I was pissed actually because she should of known as a photographer before suggesting a place and to wait the day before we were actually suppose to do the shoot was unprofessional. She asked if we could move it to the 28th of September. I am sorry but I had my heart set on this date and you said that you were open on this day that happen to be our anniversary. She brought up her business license that she could loose it or put it into jeopardy if she did the shoot without a permit. Why on earth would I as a person do that and no one was even questioning you about it? Very sour taste in my mouth. So I told her that I will find someone else and she did apologize for it but I am sorry, that's not good business. Then she suggested places that were urban and that was not what I wanted as a potential client. I felt like she just wanted to get it done and over with. My feelings is if you didn't want to do it or didn't have the time, then just be honest. I am not saying that she was thinking like that in any way but I felt like as a potential client she was trying to get out of it. And you don't want people who are going to be paying for a service that you provide to feel this way. The sad part is that I went out and got my white dress dry cleaned this week because these pictures were going to be on our invitations for our wedding next year and now I have nothing planned for our anniversary. I will have to move the date with someone else which is completely fine. I do not like last minute planning. read more

I absolutely LOVED Kristen! I'm so happy I found her to be the photographer for my wedding. She is very sweet and has a fun personality which makes photo sessions super fun (especially since my husband and I have never taken professional photos before), but she's also really professional. She worked with us on our budget and was very generous with the quality and quantity of photos we got back. My pictures turned out amazing. Kristen took amazing home photos of our family featuring our newborn baby girl and sweet family dog. I can't recommend her enough for newborn, family and pet photography, especially home sessions! It was like having your best girlfriend hang out with you and take pictures. She made us all feel super comfortable and never worried about us being in the perfect posed position -- and that made for great, natural pictures! She has a fantastic eye and really captured the intimacy and beauty of our "everyday" life. She handled our baby with total expertise (she clearly is a super mom!) and our dog smiled for her the entire time. Kristen did my college graduation dinner photo shoot this June, and overall we had a wonderful experience. It was three friends and I and our respective families at a restaurant, and while the shoot was a bit hectic, we got some wonderful finished products. Her photos came out great (with wonderful poses she suggested throughout too), and she was super flexible and even showed up a good bit beforehand to do her own setup and help the shoot progress well. The edited photos came out good too and later I did some amateur photo gift making (with a few Amazon-ordered items) and mailed out presents that every family loved. Kristen took engagement photos and wedding photos for us. She was flexible with her schedule when we decided that we wanted to arrange the engagement photos and met us in the City at Crissy Field. We picked a date for the photos, but had to reschedule; she didn't mind at all. We have never had professional photos taken before, but Kristen did a great job making Emily and I comfortable so that we could get some great photos. It was a lot of fun and we loved sharing the photos with family and friends. At the wedding, we encountered a bit of weather. We knew ahead of time that it could rain on our ceremony and reception because the wedding was in Golden Gate Park in April. Kristen still managed to take a lot of excellent photos of our guests and us that we will enjoy for years to come. Kristen was always on time. She came to the hotel to take "prep" photos while Emily and I got ready for the big day. At the ceremony and reception, we didn't notice her taking pictures, which was great.
