Tyler is phenomenal. There are many photographers in the Las Vegas/Henderson area, but I would absolutely pick Tyler over any of them for more than the reasons I will mention below. I am over the moon with the moments Tyler captured on film and hope that everyone gets to experience the professionalism, warmth, humor and beauty Tyler offers to his customers. My fiance and I moved to Vegas a little over a year ago, so any contacts I had for photographers were gone. I went online, did a lot of research and fell upon Tyler's website: www.tylerfreear.com. His pictures captured my attention immediately and were breathtaking. Not only did he take those epic wedding shots that make the wedding couple look as amazing as they feel, but he was able to bring a warmth to his photos, even the edited photos, that brought more than one dimension to the happiest moments in each of these couple's lives. The photos, even when edited or doctored, were natural and flawless. Any person who can make you look stunning when the both of you are sweating in the 90 degree heat AND no clouds is the right person to go to. We already had booked our wedding photographer, so we just needed a photographer for the engagement photos. By nature, the engagement photos are borderline cheesy and make many people feel fake while taking them. Tyler made sure that we got the cheesy shots for Mom, but really made an effort to get the photos WE wanted for our albums. Email and phone correspondence with Tyler was easy and he was always professional. His focus in every email was capturing what my fiance and I wanted and listening to what I had to say. Obviously he listened very well because the shots came out perfect. It was 90 degrees, no clouds and we wore all black. Bad move on our parts, but Tyler showed up, kept us relaxed and captured us beautifully amidst the sweat and heat exhaustion. He kept us in the shade as much as possible, kept us laughing and got every shot I had told him I enjoyed from other shoots. Her captured my fiance and I happy, sincere and as natural as you can be in engagement photos. He took some of those shots that take your breath away and also captured us laughing and enjoying our time together (which is what we do most of the time). Many of the pictures captured our personalities, and for someone who had only spoken to us via email and a few phone conversations, Tyler did a stunning job and I could not be more impressed with him, his photography, and his professionalism. Tyler was amazing! Our wedding day was so rushed I didn't have time to think about the shots I wanted to get, luckily Tyler does all the thinking for you. He got shots that I didn't even know he was taking and that I didn't even think to ask him to take. Things like our table decorations that we spent so much time on. He took the time to get close up details of everything and everyone. He also touches them all up for you!!! His style is super fun and unique too. You can guarantee you'll get some great looking photos that could easily be posted in a bridal magazine somewhere. Phenomenal! After reading his other reviews, we had high expectations for Tyler, but he blew us away completely. Not only did he take amazing photos of our big day, but we got at least five that we would describe as "iconic". He knew perfect locations and had an inexhaustible supply of photo ideas. Our favorite thing about Tyler was his ability to manage the family and guests, and to pose them and get perfect shots. He's especially great about quickly making sure no one blinked, even in groups numbering in the twenties. Not only that, we had a long day with a fairly tight schedule, and he really acted as the manager of the day, and kept everything flowing smoothly and moving forward, while ensuring we got all of the shots we requested. We also had his photo booth at our reception, which was the best! The props were fun and the quality of the photos was shockingly great. He had three amazing assistants to help with the photo booth; not only were they friendly, fun, and professional, they also dove right in and helped get our reception set up when the venue fell behind schedule. We would not hesitate to recommend Tyler; our perfect day would not have worked as well as it did without him (and we have the pictures to prove it!). read more

We used Tyler Freear for our engagement and wedding photos. We were drawn to Tyler's photojournalist style of capturing candid, subtle moments. We also liked his ability to shoot great outdoor pictures without making them seem overexposed or washed out. His prices were very reasonable, and included a discount if you paid in full upfront. Picking a wedding photographer that you personally get along with is important, as they will be with you the entire day. Tyler was great to work with. He was prompt, organized, and captured all the shots that we were looking for. He made sure to stay in contact before the wedding, and arrived early on the wedding today to make sure everything was set up appropriately. We receive a lot of compliments on our pictures, and it was really great that we got them in just three weeks after the wedding. We can't say enough great things about our experience with Tyler. I am SO glad we picked Tyler to be our wedding photographer. He takes AWESOME pictures and is fun to be around. We knew when he met him that we would enjoy being around him and that we could trust him to document the most important day of our lives! We have a variety of great photos to show for it. From the funny to the dramatic, our pictures turned out great. I hesitate to call Tyler a "great value" because that might suggest that you aren't getting super high-quality photography with him. But you are. Tyler is an expert photographer, works great under pressure, and is a personable guy. You're not going to go wrong with him! Great product, extremely reliable, and super easy to work with - highly recommend for all events for everybody! I'd give him "extra stars" on yelp if I could. My husband and I found Tyler on one of the wedding websites for our wedding out in LA earlier this year. I talked to a couple of photographers, but no one was "quite right" until I talked to Tyler. From the first conversation to receiving our photos, he was 100% on top of everything. He was always very polite and very responsive to all phone calls and e-mails. He traveled out to our site in California, and kept us informed of his travel plans. This was his first time at this site, but we got some really beautiful, creative, and diverse shots of the entire event. Most of the time we didn't even realize he was there photographing. He has a great personality and a calming presence that is really important during some unexpected stressful moments. We're really fortunate to have met Tyler. Absolutely amazing!! Tyler just shot our wedding in Denver, CO last weekend and he did a wonderful job. Our venue even had a little construction going on and he did an awesome job working around it and capturing breath taking photos with absolutely no sign of construction. He was awesome to work with, had great ideas and just over all blew us away. We had more family/friends come up and tell us what an awesome job he is doing and how friendly he is. He did above and beyond what was expected.We also had his photo booth at our reception which was a huge hit and so much fun! Our guests visited the booth multiple times and got 2 print outs each time. We had a referral to use Tyler for our wedding and I was so happy we picked him. Tyler was absolutely phenomenal to work with! Even before the event, he made sure to answer all questions and make sure that we (bride and groom) were comfortable with his services. Tyler was very communicative to make sure that you get exactly what you want from your time with him, and it was calming for a nervous bride. On the day of the event, Tyler arrived early to set everything up, ask about any concerns, and to make sure he had time to communicate with the wedding party to get what they wanted. My husband and I are pretty shy and are not normally comfortable in a setting where all eyes are on us. Tyler made sure to give great directions to make sure our pictures turned out looking amazing, not to mention how comfortable he makes you feel! We loved that he helped us find poses that worked for us and also got every single shot we asked for. Tyler is amazing. Period. He is professional, helpful, and very good at what he does. Tyler was very easy to get along with and made a first time encounter a very comfortable interaction for our engagement pictures on the Las Vegas strip. Tyler works very hard and really tries to accommodate to your schedule, while ensuring that the quality of his work does not suffer. He met us at 9 AM on a Sunday morning in December for our engagement shoot. He was excellent in directing us in what to do. Although he had specific suggestions for us, everything felt so easy and natural. He had many creative ideas in poses, as well as backdrops. He was also very open and receptive to our suggestions. He definitely makes it work. The result of our photos overwhelmed us. We were so happy with the product that Tyler delivered. The amount of "useable" pictures was just about all of them. You could randomly select a photo, and it'd likely work as something you could frame or use in the wedding stationery/guest books. Tyler's packages are an incredibly great value for what you get. He is FAST in his communication. He is also fast in completing his projects so that clients can receive their photos quickly. He is a very nice guy and so easy to get along with.
