I expected the doctor to call me back at the end of the day or perhaps the next day, as doctors usually do with an abnormal test. Instead, the receptionist snapped "WHAT questions??" and then stated that I would need to make another appointment and pay again in order to get to speak with the doctor at all. I was stunned to have someone in healthcare snap at me unprovoked. The verbal cruelty was disturbing and left me feeling vulnerable on top of worrying about my health and prognosis. When I finally heard from the doctor (via email) she was presumptuous, wrote condescending notes about how non-dirty and non-loose I am, and told me that patients only "hear" what they want to hear, which is why she doesn't talk to patients over the phone. (!) At this point I hadn't even yet told her what my actual concerns were. I had questions based on my medical history of autoimmune disease, as well as questions about how this might affect my partner and what precautions I should take. I also didn't fully understand how the infection gets transmitted as I tested negative in the past with the same partner. I was bizarrely mistreated and condescended to. I've never had this level of disrespect happen at a doctor's office before. The doctor finally did call and immediately started talking about social stigma (again, not a concern to me at all... Should it have been??), made more assumptions, didn't listen, interrupted, and answered questions I didn't ask. The doctor billed the 15 min conversation as a virtual office visit. She waived the copay since I sounded upset, which was nice... The conversation should have lasted about 3 minutes if she simply answered my questions. Of all specialists, why would a gynecologist coddle their patients and treat them as though they are immature and irrational?

Thought she was good but was sorely mistaken. Appointment was at 930 on a weekday. We both had to take the morning off from work. We arrived at around 915 and there was just 1 couple ahead of us. Paperwork was done by around 930. The doctor didn't see us till around 1045 for around 5 mins only. She told us she would be back and left us at the examination room for around 30-45 mins. I had to step out to see what the hold up was and why we were still waiting. At that point one of the nurses or CNA transferred us to a different room and Dr. Wong saw us and had a surprise look on her face. The look that you can tell she wasn't expecring us to be still there waiting for her. She came by another 15 mins later and asked us if we had any questions. Well, she told us to wait for her, and we were expecring to give us more info and what the next steps were. Her staff does not have a single bit of customer service at all and the receptionist (the fat lady) treated us like we were an inconvenience for asking questions for the schedule for the ultrasound and for asking about setting up another appointment for the next visit. Thank God we found another doctor who is the total opposite of Dr. Wong. The first office visit to her clinic is the first and the last she will hear from me or my wife ever, It was the worst doctor visit I have had ever in my entire life. I will never recommend Dr. Wong to anyone!

DO NOT RECCOMEND! I had a introductory visit with Claudine Kasinak 3/7/24 to talk about my…read morefertility options as I was having a hard time getting pregnant. Dr. Kasinak asked me a total of 3-4 questions (the generic How old when you had your first period? Are your periods regular? How long have you been trying), and that was the extent of the visit. She simply looked at me and told me I looked healthy so everything would be fine, that I should keep trying, and that I was only stressing myself out. I tried to ask if we could run tests or talk about fertility options, and she dismissed me, saying there was no point because I was only stressing myself out. She saw that I got upset with the answer and said if I still wasn't pregnant by August, to come back to discuss the options at that point. I made an appointment with a different OB a week later, who ACTUALLY LISTENED to my concerns, and she ran tests and saw I did have a fertility issue and had to go through IVF. Not to mention, I was charged $343 for Dr. Kasinak asking me three questions and dismissing me after less than 10 minutes. While my insurance paid for part of this, I still had to pay $186 out of pocket, and for what? If I had listened to her, I still would not be pregnant. It was a terrible experience and OB, in my opinion. I advise you to stay away.

Newest revelation is that Midwest Center for Women's Healthcare is like going to a gas station…read more They are not affiliated, but rather, are all independent offices. If you call the corporate office number, if you can even find it, they can't help you because they are a different office. Midwest Center means nothing other than a common name, like going to a Shell gas station, one has nothing to do with another. Took me multiple requests, over a period of more than 3 years to get my medical records transferred to my new doctor, which were finally transferred as of this year, 2025. Good Lord. What a frickin joke. Please, please, don't waste your time there. See previous review by me if you want the full story. Sep 9, 2022Previous review After being a patient in this practice, long before it became MCWHC, like two decades long, my previous doctors retired, one after the other. Since the changes in doctors in this office, that for me began this year, it was a nightmare to get an appointment, no one seemed to know who was where and when. Had a procedure scheduled for March and received a call 3 days prior regarding the meds and was told that the procedure needed to be pre-paid, even though I have very good insurance. Was 'allowed' to make arrangements since I hadn't been notified and providing that I pay a portion up front. Subsequent billing to my insurance company was submitted with my name reading two different ways and insurance company processed the claims as two different people with two different deductibles. While in direct contact with the billing department, it took me 4 months to get it straight with the insurance company. All along, I continued to make monthly payments since I didn't originally know where the fault lay. Once I discovered it was the bill submissions that caused the errors and delay in payment, the claims were corrected by the insurance company. The very same day that I receive the corrected statement from insurance, I received a voice mail that I was being sent to collection. I returned the call and told them to do whatever they felt was necessary. Not one time did I receive an apology for the months of agony dealing with the insurance company that had to go through every single claim from every single provider this year to resolve the issue. The billing department of MCWHC further claimed that I had not made a payment since March when, in fact, I had paid over $800 while all of this was happening. After receiving nonsense responses from billing, telling me where to look on their website but in no way providing confirmation of my payments, I finally began sending emails directly to Dr. Clear to no avail. My emails have gone completely ignored. Last communication I had with her was that she was going to reach out to my oncology gyne for a consult and get back to me, that's right, oncology. Never heard another word. Maybe I am dying, I guess I won't know from Dr. Clear. The last email I sent to Dr. Clear, I made it clear that no response is a response. After reading all of the complaints here on Yelp, I could not agree more with the rudeness of the billing office and the office staff. They could care less about your health, they are all in for the money. I told Dr. Clear that it is unfortunate that she and others came into a practice that was built long and hard by others that they are destroying day by day. Very sad. I was told by the other practice that I basically have to live with it. My sister-in-law recommended this practice & I picked Dr Tart from the website. I could not be happier ! Immediately I felt heard & understood. She put me on HRT & I have my life back. Is she quick with her appointments? Yes but I never feel rushed I just feel she is efficient. She is always on time & listens to everything I say. I have recommended her to many of my same age friends to help them with menopause. I never have a problem talking to anyone there. She has her own nurse you takes the messages & she gets things done ! For example my husband lost his job & we were going to have to change to an insurance plan that this office didn't take. I panicked b/c I love them & I have all my HRT through them. The nurse got me in to see Dr Tart even though I know there was no openings & they refilled my prescriptions for the year. Dr. Oh took the time to review my images and then sat down with me to go over her thoughts, answer my questions, and talk about how she recommended we move forward. I was so impressed and put at ease by this interaction. I finally felt like someone was giving it to me straight and like I had a voice into my care. Following this appointment, I transitioned to this being my primary OBGYNE provider. When we started trying to conceive at the end of 2018 and had difficulty, Dr. Oh again was so gracious, patient, and sympathetic. She helped us navigate some preliminary testing to check if anything was amiss as we continued to try. When we finally, thankfully were able to conceive on our own, Dr. Oh came in to the room for our first appointment and celebrated with us. We could sense her genuine excitement for us after trying for almost a year. I have experienced these doctors in some challenging medical situations. Not only my ovarian cyst, and trying to conceive, but also a subchorionic hematoma, difficult delivery, and now progesterone shots for my second pregnancy. Dr. Heiberger commanded the room with a firm but calm demeanor when I was delivering my first son and had complications. The nurses have gone to battle for me in this pregnancy with the specialty pharmacy to make sure I get my weekly progesterone shots delivered on time. I can't say enough good things about this place. This practice has been an excellent place for me and my growing family.
