The people at the Glenview office are great. But of you want to get pregnant then go somewhere else.

This is, without a doubt, the worst-run doctor's office we've ever experienced. The front desk…read morestaff is consistently rude and seems unhappy to be there. They don't even know which insurance plans they accept--every one of our claims was incorrectly filed as out-of-network when they were actually in-network. Fixing this has been a major hassle, and despite multiple messages asking for the billing manager to call us back, no one has returned our calls. Instead, we were told that the doctor's wife handles billing, but no one knows when she comes in. We are now receiving final bill notices, yet the office has locked us out of the patient portal due to non-payment, making it impossible to access our records or communicate through that system. When my wife asked how she could reach her doctor or someone who could help, she was told to use the portal--the very one we had been locked out of. All we are trying to do is get them to resubmit these claims correctly as in-network so we can pay the bill and move on. That's it. And yet, we're met with roadblock after roadblock. To top it off, they advertise themselves as a concierge practice, which is laughable. Concierge medicine is supposed to provide premium care, personalized attention, and easy access to the physician and staff. Here, they don't even answer the phone over lunch. Why not stagger lunch breaks like any other service-oriented business instead of shutting down entirely? The final straw was when my wife--who is battling stage 4 cancer--called for the third time to resolve this, only to be scolded for trying to fix a 2024 billing issue in 2025. Unfortunately, we had more pressing matters last year. We're done. As soon as this gets resolved, we'll be finding a new doctor. If you're considering this practice, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I expected the doctor to call me back at the end of the day or perhaps the next day, as doctors usually do with an abnormal test. Instead, the receptionist snapped "WHAT questions??" and then stated that I would need to make another appointment and pay again in order to get to speak with the doctor at all. I was stunned to have someone in healthcare snap at me unprovoked. The verbal cruelty was disturbing and left me feeling vulnerable on top of worrying about my health and prognosis. When I finally heard from the doctor (via email) she was presumptuous, wrote condescending notes about how non-dirty and non-loose I am, and told me that patients only "hear" what they want to hear, which is why she doesn't talk to patients over the phone. (!) At this point I hadn't even yet told her what my actual concerns were. I had questions based on my medical history of autoimmune disease, as well as questions about how this might affect my partner and what precautions I should take. I also didn't fully understand how the infection gets transmitted as I tested negative in the past with the same partner. I was bizarrely mistreated and condescended to. I've never had this level of disrespect happen at a doctor's office before. The doctor finally did call and immediately started talking about social stigma (again, not a concern to me at all... Should it have been??), made more assumptions, didn't listen, interrupted, and answered questions I didn't ask. The doctor billed the 15 min conversation as a virtual office visit. She waived the copay since I sounded upset, which was nice... The conversation should have lasted about 3 minutes if she simply answered my questions. Of all specialists, why would a gynecologist coddle their patients and treat them as though they are immature and irrational?

When I questioned some of the tests; Emily lost it, she was accusatory, rude, and I felt disrespected. She accused me of not respecting the Dr, that the tests were necessary, I was wrong;and she refused to listen or lend a sympathetic ear. She very rudely said, "you don't respect the doctor, you can find another doctor, we don't need your business, we'll wipe out your bill" and then hung up on me without letting me to speak. The Dr's are fantastic. The staff is miserable and not compssionate. It is not worth the potentially explosive nature of the staff, Emily, their office manager, in particular. I share this honestly, you decide if it is worth it to you.

One time she had not even arrived to her office yet and no one called me at home to tell me she was running so late. So you can't even get up and walk out when she is 2 hours late because you will be out of meds. I really tried to like her but finally switched to a different doctor.

Heart braking as we were with a senior at end of life who wanted to reach his human support aide,…read morewho has limited ability herself and he wanted to say goodbye and if she needed anything. We dialed phone and he did his best to ask politely if the operator Marsha (sp?) had any thoughts about how he can locate her. He added he knows her name and that she cannot communicate. He's frightened and I was closest and a little concerned that the operator Marsha kept talking over him, too fast for most to understand and would seem she did not want to be helpful at all. She bomarded him, ,talking over him, and after a minute of watching this, it was clear that Marsha needs customer service training , and if she want to hang up on seniors just say that up front. When he said his friends name several times while being shut up and talked over by the unkind voice that then became bullying. Pull the calls please, get that operator marsha the help and or training or assess for how someone can talk like that and bully a dying man. It is a hospital, and we're still in shock. The operator increased in offensive prying and became overt senior bulllying. We in earshot are besides our selves, our neighbor is crying and worried and can't risk calliing back after hospital call dropped. Our friend spelled his companion's name and the operator marsha interrupts him for i dunnot the 7th time by then, like it's fun to ride rough shod over seniors. Is this not a place of healing? She futher enphantalized and offended him by suspicously, accusingly asking: "Are you SURE that's her name?..." At this point I saw him trembling and went to grab the phone. HOw dare one bash and bully and talk down to a caller to a supposedly healing facility. PLEASE PLEASE INVESTIGATE, PULL CALLS, AND TAKE IMMEDIATE STEPS TO GET THAT OPERATOR SOME TRAINING OR HELP. i'm so disappointed, but proud of our trooping neighbor who did his best to be polite, from what I could discern. But your people will make those judgments and Dept. on Aging will investigate as well we hope after we file with them. Still our priority is how to reach a frightened ICE victim with less than minimum english and very very scared and our disabled senior who is so baffled by the antagonistic tone, talking over and bullying wihtout ever giving him the room or phone number. BE very careful because words like this can really hurt others. None of this is necessary. Myself and the others on this end around his bed will make ourselves avilable to Senior Services & DoAging Helpline as this type of bullying is not acceptable Can never again recommend Old Orchard Health although have found it helpful and convenient since a child. Please remember lives need love. Operators need communication skills to facilite understaning, not just to harm. When she implied he wasn't really aware of his friend's name, he feared she was an IcE person or simply unaware of HIPPA guidelines, he tried his best to protect his friend from an intrusive interjection and called the dying man RUDE. He said she was scared, doesn't speak English and is a Mexican national. He's shaking, upset and in fear now. It's beyond the palo of unthinking verbal abuse. He's also concerned and praying that Operator Marcia (sp?) get the help and training needed to help Hospital callers, and not use words to talk over someone, confuse and offend with vicious assumptions so he never got a chance to finish a sentence.

What if I didn't check my email? Would I have not known about my appointment? -When I schedule an appointment and since their hours are only 8am - 5pm, I have to take personal time off of work, I still have to sit in their waiting room for an hour before being seen. Since I've been greedy with my personal time off of work (because I have unpaid maternity leave), it really pisses me off that I'm just sitting there waiting. So, overall, great doctors and great nurses, but booking appointments through them is a huge headache. And what's the point of booking an appointment when I'm still going to have to waste another hour of my time in their waiting room?

Last week I decided to look on Yelp to see who yelpers recommended and filled out the contact info for Dr. Miller. Literally 2 seconds later Dr. Miller himself called and we made an appointment for the following week. Impressive! Dr. Miller's office is conveniently located right of the highway and right next to Old Orchard mall for those who love to shop (a little too cold for an outdoor mall today IMO). There is plenty of parking out front and he's located on the 3rd floor. He was right on time for my appointment and appears to be a one man show right now since he's on the hunt for a new receptionist. Fortunately, that doesn't seem to be slowing him down. He took care of my foot issue (turned out to be a deep callous) and I wondered what took me so long to make the appointment. While i was there he also worked on a few other callouses, since he said he'd throw them in for free :). I also inquired about custom orthotics for my flat feet. He showed me some options and said he would check with my insurance to see how much they would cover. I plan to call back in a week and go down the orthotics route with him soon too. I asked what the #1 foot issue people come to him for and he mentioned an ingrown toe nail. My son had one recently that got better on his own, but glad we have someone to turn to if we run into a similar problem. He's good at what he does, very nice and fast. I was in and out of there within 20 minutes!
