I went to see Dr. Stanalajczo for the first time yesterday to get a filling looked at. He immediately told me the issue and started working on it. I normally feel needles for the novocain, but I didn't feel any pokes at all! During the 25 mins he worked on my tooth, I did not feel a thing but a little pressure - which is how it should be. He made sure I was comfortable and always warned me of procedures he is getting ready to do. It was such a breath of fresh air to be at a dental office where the dentist really cares about your well-being. He doesn't try to "sell" you things either, like getting random work done, but tries to find an alternative for your ailments. I highly recommend seeing him for your dental needs. You won't be sorry!

She successfully treated me for chronic pain, airway issues, and ENT issues with her expertise and skill. Beyond that, I left town shortly after starting treatment, and she and all of her staff provided extremely kind customer service and support from a distance. The work she does typically can't be done virtually, and everyone knows dental work can be painful and difficult. She is not just a dentist. Her work and consult has helped remedy my complex, lifelong medical issues. By not being local, I completely disrupted her treatment protocol and process. With a less skilled dentist this could have been bad. But, she did such a good job with understanding my case and designing a custom oral treatment device that I was able to get through it on my own from a distance. Meanwhile, the whole office was helpful and accommodating. In cases like mine, the work she does is life saving and always life changing. I wish I could transport her and the entire office out west. She was ready to dive in when I pointed out that I asked for nitrous. Then I got some nitrous. But there was no further discussion or questions about my comfort so you can imagine how I almost came out the chair when she got to drilling on the nerve. They also said I had several cavities and scheduled a filling for the next month. I ended up waiting and going to my childhood dentist who has always been amazing and he said I didn't have any cavities, so I'm not sure what happened with this place. The reason for two stars instead of just one is because they were very helpful in getting the exact amount my fillings would cost from my insurance company. But I have to say, the COVID precautions at Oak Valley Dental are top-notch. They make sure you're not mingling with other patients as you move through the waiting area to your exam room. Each exam room has an air filter scrubbing the air. My hygienist and dentist are both vaccinated (as am I) and were double-masked. And they streamline the bill paying so you're not waiting at the front desk for payment to process. I was impressed both with how they adapted to the pandemic and to see that the first-rate skill and service I've come to expect from them had not suffered. Do not go to this place for orthodontic treatment. I went there for orthodontic treatment about 7…read moreyears ago. There are a lot of signs that I noticed at the beginning but really should have taken them seriously. The doctor always seems to be in a rush. Now, one of my canines is dead (the color becomes grey, and the pulpal vitalilty test also shows it's dead), because she put too much force on it back then. I felt extreme pain on that root back then, but she didn't take any actions and just let me take ibuprofen. There are also a couple of black triangles due to her pulling teeth to the right and then suddenly to the left in just two weeks. One of my molar lost a lot of enamel because of a stupid mistake made by her assistant. I told my current orthodontist that my previous one used to ask me come to visit her very two weeks, because she wanted me to finish the treatment before I left Ann Arbor. My current orthodontist is surprised about two-week visit and finds it scary. I am an adult patient and my bone remodeling is not as quick as children. Even for children, I think visits shouldn't be that frequent. I guess she just wanted to get the full payment from me. Other than that, there were a lot of useless gadgets put into my mouth during the treatments that made the whole treatment really uncomfortable and torturing. For example, the tongue-side buccal tubes on the bottom molars that really irritate my tongue. The "turbos" on top of the molars put on by her assistant on the very first day of wearing braces made me basically not able to bite and eat. She is not a good dentist who really cares about patient. Avoid this doctor for orthodontic treatment. Before you make a decision, at least try visiting others for a comprehensive comparison.
