When we ran into trouble with our first caterer, Mimi quickly moved on to the next one on our list. Although the second also didn't work out, We eventually found a third option--and the day still came together. Most of the event ran smoothly, from the ceremony to the reception. Mimi and Chris even anticipated and addressed small hiccups we hadn't thought of, which helped create a mostly seamless experience. However, there were a few areas where things could've been handled better. For example, We missed out on doing a toast, first dance, and the father-daughter dance. These moments mattered to us, and while things happen, with a little more proactive direction, I think it would have jumped back on track. We also had a last-minute issue when our photo booth company, Photo Bomb LLC, canceled just hours before the wedding, no fault to Kreative Designs. Mimi jumped on the issue quickly and brought in 360&Moore Photo Booth before the Reception started. She was professional and had a great personality, I would definitely recommend her business. Overall, The Horton's would totally recommend Kreative Designs to couples looking for an experienced and positive wedding planner. Mimi and Chris has a great attitude and made the planning process enjoyable. I am sharing this review to help other families make informed decisions. After our event, we discovered that Magnolia Woods, LLC had been legally dissolved months before we signed our rental agreement, yet the venue continued to advertise itself as an active business, solicit new customers, and collect payments through personal accounts labeled "JODI." At no point was this dissolved status disclosed. Consumers deserve to know when a business is not legally active, especially when booking major life events. The facility conditions were also unsafe. A leaking fountain--promised to be repaired before our event--continued to leak throughout the wedding and reception, creating standing water and a slipping hazard for guests. This was not a minor issue; it was a persistent safety concern that went unresolved. During the event, staff entered private areas without permission, tampered with food and beverages, and even discarded items belonging to children. Staff were also observed photographing guests without consent. These actions were intrusive, unsettling, and far outside the bounds of professional hospitality. What was most troubling was a statement made by the venue manager that the owner "expected issues with this party." This prejudgment appeared to influence the harsh and intrusive treatment our family received throughout the event. No family should be pre judged or surveilled at their own celebration. When concerns were raised afterward, Magnolia Woods did not take responsibility. Instead, the owner refused to address even the simplest questions about the venue's dissolved business status or the conduct that occurred. In consumer protection forums, stating "I can only speak to attorneys" is not a valid reason to avoid accountability -- it is a red flag that a business is unwilling to engage transparently with the public. I am sharing this experience because other consumers deserve full awareness before booking this venue. Weddings and family events require trust, professionalism, and safety. Unfortunately, Magnolia Woods did not meet those standards for us, and their continued refusal to address these issues raises concerns about ongoing risk to future customers.
