After 4 sessions I was no better than when I first started seeing the Chiro. I was referred to Dr. Julie Barter by a friend and so I made an appointment. She adjusted me in ways I've never been adjusted before. It was the most thorough adjustment I've ever had. She even adjusted my cranial sutures. Awesome! She uses muscle testing and your meridians to let her know what's going on where and what needs to be adjusted. It was an amazing experience and an extremely valuable one. I feel aligned and functional again! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! During my second appointment with her she really helped clarify some "untruths" I've been told about a supposed health issue that I thought I had but, it turns out it's not an issue at all. She gave me some very valuable nutrition information that I've been following ever since. I'm excited because I get to eat foods I thought I'd never eat again and I'm feeling great!

They simply ignore insurance companies' established codes and policies. I specifically instructed them to only perform blood work covered by my annual physical, noting that I have no source of income. They charged me regardless. I will not be returning; I cannot afford to pay for their systemic incompetence.

Conversely, this physician is argumentative and negligent. He makes absurd claims about why basic care, such as physicals aren't needed. Any procedure that he believes will receive any push back from the insurer will be rejected. I came in with a decent corporate insurance policy but after my experience today, I'll being having a conversation with our corporate leadership to assess why my indemnifier is allowing Hughes to accept our policy. Dr. Hughes lies about objective tests results. For instance, he lied about blood pressure at 142 not being hypertension. I'm middle aged and haven't had a physical in probably 30 years. I have a long family history of specific physical health problems and symptoms that started popping up be since I was an athlete. My watch indicates I'm in workout mode when I'm at rest and I asked for a very rudimentary test ( EKG) to rule out medical problems given my family history and symptoms. Dr. Hughes is uncredible and his medical findings and opinions aren't worth a dime. This explains why his practice is located in some obscure, dumpy office on the side of the road in Longmont. Reception are pretty rude as well. Strongly recommend finding a doctor who knows how to listen, who is diligent and has actually engaged in the practice of medicine instead of testifying for insurance defense or whatever it is he does besides scam for payment. Dr. Hughes is a condescending insurance whore. Don't waste your time and seek out a real physician who takes his practice seriously and doesn't engage in lying, bigotry and other tactics used by doctors busy sucking up to insurance companies for a living instead of treating patients. Avoid at all costs. As you can see from other reviews of the " practice ", it's clear that this physician and his staff have burned many bridges in the community.

If the physician has guidelines to follow, then we should be contacted and communicated with regarding said guidelines. Not constantly being told by the front desk "Yeah, I saw that email and we did receive your paperwork, and we sent it to the manager for review. We'll give you a call back. Is this a good number?" Crickets. WARNING: This company retaliates when their back is against the wall by providing erroneously-filled out paperwork, and ONLY when they receive negative feedback. Best to avoid this unprofessional business who are scared to communicate when you need medical help. Here's my review: "I appreciate the physical care this location has provided, but the lack of communication is a bit concerning. Multiple emails and calls, with promises of callbacks and nothing on their end. When you provide a 10-day doctor's note, you should be able to back it up by filling out FMLA paperwork. It has 15 days to be filed, and this is my wife's job on the line. She had to provide me ADL, IADL, and emotional support during the time of the doctor's note, therefore making the FMLA very simple to fill out so I'm not sure what the hesitancy and lack of communication is for. I'm glad you don't have to worry about important paperwork being filled out for your own job security. NextCare Urgent Care it is. Find yourself a truly capable and strong women-owned business elsewhere for your care."

She forgot at the next appointment and said she didn't feel comfortable prescribing that type of medicine. I don't even know how that happens. I had to explain that she already prescribed it to me a few months prior, resulting in her then prescribing it to me again after someone in the office talked to her. Should've left then but it's such a hassle with paperwork and establishing new primary physician. Second doctor I tried was googiling on her phone in front of me what to do about an ingrown toenail and I left without much help. Third doctor was good. The front desk not being helpful and only seeming to care about money was the final straw. Do not go here if you want compassionate, organized and professional medical care.

Incompetent nurses that work here. After waiting a full week for my results this incompetent girl tells me that the results could not be read as the time of day wasn't posted. If that was the case... 1.) why the hell didn't the nurse that took my samples look at them before I left after dropping them off and 2.) why didn't they just give the patient written instructions on what to do and not relay on a incompetent nurse that failed to inform me???? Why I told the nurse on the phone that I didn't remember hearing that I was suppose to write down the time of day... she interrupts me, telling me that she was the one who told me what to do and she remembers telling me to do that. That she was sorry I forgot to do this, but I can return to the office and pick up another test..... I told her I will NOT be doing the test again and I hung up. Why in the hell would I leave the time of day out if I was told. This B@tch did not tell me and she is incompetent. She came across as a know it all when taking my vitals and made me sit in the office for 18 minutes waiting for her to give me the kit and instructions. What a piece of work she is. Not a place I feel like going back to. If nurses are going to accuse me of not listening to their instructions then I'm not sure if I really want to go back to see Dr. Wilcox. I am not a liar and was not told to put the date down on the bottles. I would've done this and not left it out to fudge my test results. This is bull@@@@.
