I was recently dropped by LPFP as a patient. When I called to inquire as to why, I was not given a reason. However, I was asked by the receptionist if I wanted her to ask my provider if," you can have a second chance", I said no. My relationship with my provider was good, I thought. I owed them no money and paid my balances when I received a bill. I recently turned 65 and had my Medicare card, however, I am still insured by my employer. LPFP does not take Medicare. read more

Always the finest care for my family. Dr. Madden literally saved my life by detecting an abnormal prostate during a routine physical. Once while my wife and I were on a business trip, our middle school daughter developed a serious sudden ailment and one of the Longs Peak doctors rode with her in the ambulance to a Denver hospital to see a specialist. You simply can't get better care. I see other reviews focusing on the cold efficiency with which the office is run. Rushed physicians who are realistically only in the room about 7-10 minutes. As a healthcare provider, I'm not impressed.

Run the other way!! I am not sure if it is this countries screwed up medical system or what but my feeling is this practice will milk you for every dollar. Newer to town and scheduled a physical which my insurance covers and during this physical I asked him about some shoulder pain I was having. He gave me a couple of papers on some exercises to help with it and sent me on my way. All good right.....nope I get the bill and they charged me a whole separate office visit because I brought up my shoulder which is not covered by my insurance. I thought during a physical you were supposed to talk to a doctor about what was going on with your body. How can we as a country let this kind of crap go on?apparently my insurance says they can do this. This right here is what is wrong with our medical system and why no one can afford healthcare. I don't know what happened to this place - it used to be top notch, but with the founders gone... Some of the nurses (one I now refer to as nurse Ratched,) are beyond cruel. My PCP was willing to use my physical pain to extort me into a treatment I didn't want to start with by not issuing an order for me to get a treatment at LUH that significantly reduces my pain, requires no drugs, and has worked wonders in the past. This forced me to pay for and waste the time of the ER to get the treatment I needed. They repeatedly hung up on the LUH person that called them. They lied. They would not listen to my input about my own my body because they were so arrogant they refused to actually hear the words coming from me while I cried because of the frustration and pain. I shudder to think how they must treat truly vulnerable patients that are susceptible to their bullying. Don't wait to get a new PCP until it's a health emergency. Get it done ASAP. I kind of wonder if they'll come after me somehow for this review. But I felt a responsibility to warn others. So far, Madden still seems to be a rock star. So is their phlebotomist. read more

Dr. Madden is one of those rare family practitioners that understands an active lifestyle. As an athlete, I hated going to doctors, who would typically just suggest that if an activity causes pain, you should just stop. Or take a pill. Dr. Madden knows I'm not going to stop doing what I do..so he helps me find ways to strengthen weaknesses and otherwise allow me to maintain my activity in a fashion that might facilitate healing. When I broke my leg recently, he gave me a lot of great advice about coping with the injury and slowly rebuilding strength as healing permitted. Even though my visits here are usually annual, it's reassuring knowing that Dr. Madden has an eye on my health and well-being. read more

How about negative stars? Run the other way. My 77 year old Mother had the audacity to question her diagnosis when she was prescribed a third round of antibiotics for a severe rash type issue on her ankle. When she refused the third round of antibiotic complaining that it had no effect on the rash she was told she would lose her foot to amputation if she did not take the antibiotics. She asked for the Nurse Practitioner to research the issue so the NP brought in a sports medicine doctor who confirmed her diagnosis. When my mother refused the third antibiotic prescription they asked her to leave. A few days later she got a letter letting her her know she was no longer welcome at the practice. Her new NP found the correct diagnosis of venous stasis dermatitis within one minute of seeing it. These Doctors are rude and unprofessional. See my second review due to my girlfriend having a similar issue and being asked to leave the practice as well. read more

I had funny feeling in my toes. My previous doctor always cheked my blood sugar and it was always normal. Dr. Madden ordered a different blood test that show my blood sugar being elevated. He was able to make some recommendation to change my diet to makes corrections. I'm happy I tried the office. Everyone was very heklpful. read more

I used to really like Longs Peak Family Practice, especially Dr. Susan Roach. I would give no stars if possible. Since she left it hasn't been the same. I had a very horrible and unethical experience with Dr. Traister. I filed a complaint with the medical board after being unfairly treated and judged by him. I obviously will never go back and I hope that he learned something about pre-judging a patient and their needs. They get a big fat F. read more

Dr. Roach and Dr. Faini are amazing! Our family of five has been very lucky over the years that we aren't very ill. However, the times we have had to go in for something urgent or just physicals, the doctors are always so wonderful to all of us. Our three year woke up one Saturday unable to walk. It was very scary and my husband and I immediately called Dr Faini. She saw our daughter on Saturday and after sending us to the hospital, her and Dr Roach stopped by later to ensure we were getting the care our daughter needed. It is always easy to get an appointment in their office and they have later evening appointments for working families as well as urgent care hours on Saturdays. We are so thankful for this practice and would recommend them to anyone! read more

We have been using Long's Peak Family practice for many years now. I truly love this practice. They go above and beyond and have been wonderful to our family over the years. They always can seem to get us in when there is a urgent need to be seen. They have even come in after hours once to check up on my son. I also love that they have Saturday morning appointments available for urgent care, because we all know our kids like to get sick on a Friday evening!I have seen just about all the Dr's in this practice, but currently see Dr Myers when she is available. She is very kind and patient. She takes to time to address all your concerns and to explain things to you. She is also great with my boys. read more

I saw Allison a nurse practitioner while I was there...Allison was very nice and cordial and I was looking forward to seeing her and having her be my primary care. However since then I have changed my opionion drastically. Allison's assistant called me to let me know about my blood results, she was very vague and she sounded as if she did not understand a single word she was residing to me. She also seemed very disorganized as she kept calling me leaving voicemails to call back, when she had already spoken to me several times already. I went in for a retest of my blood as instructed and after a month I have not received a call back on those results at all. I called today to request my results from my last two blood tests and there was so much they neglected to tell me!! So furious. I will be going elsewhere for my primary care physician. Poor customer service and very disorganized ...at least Allison's assistance is. read more

They will not take Medicare/Medicaid patients. Although I got a recommendation from a current patient, who is on Medicare, apparently greed has wormed its way into this practice. This is certainly partly because of our wretched system, which should be single payer, but still, according to my orthopedist, Medicare pays fairly well, and with Medicaid picking up the Part B coverage, the doctors are assured a payment. Perhaps it's not as much as private insurance, but prior to "Obamacare" or what we should call the Affordable Care Act, doctors got nickled and dimed by the insurance companies and their collection costs were very high. I guess this firm takes the extra profit afforded by the ACA, without absorbing any of the corresponding costs for those who are poor. Therefore these doctors violate the "Do no harm" oath a physician takes and adhere to a "Do nothing we don't make a bunch of money on" oath. Avoid bad doctors, especially doctors who are bad people. read more

Terrible practice in both care and legitimacy. They allowed me to run out of a prescription that put me in danger of having a seizure. They overcharged me for my appointment, were unapologetic for their mistakes and in the end I was forced to pay an emergency department to receive the care that i sought from Dr. Kingston. PLEASE look elsewhere before spending your time, and putting yourself in the position of being placed in a dangerous situation. read more

I've been going to LPFP for over a decade and have been happy with both Dr. Madden and Dr. Traister. I recently could only get a short-notice appointment with Dr. Allison Fostevit, but I was desperate so I took the appointment with her. She spent the appointment on her computer giving lip service to my questions to redirect me away from her having to do anything. When disinterested Dr. Fostevit, who was just in the office that day to punch the time clock, was done doing whatever she spent the whole appointment doing on her computer and ready to send me on my merry way, I asked one more direct question, to which her response was, "Oh sweetie, I don't have time to look at that I have already spent 45 minutes with you. You'll have to make another appointment." I have NEVER been more appalled at the treatment I received from her nor been spoken to in such a condescending tone as I was during my appointment with Dr. Fostevit. She has zero regard for her patient's health and well-being and is only there going through the motions and collecting a paycheck. I will never make the mistake of taking an appointment with her again and strongly advise against it! read more

Was looking for a new practice for my family and first appointments were with Allison. My daughters really liked her however this is where the positive experience ends. Office had my daughters names wrong on file, appointments were not confirmed, due to them having the wrong number. Not being billed at all then getting a letter 3 months later stating we have a outstanding balance. Not once but twice I was told that there wasn't enough time scheduled to address the needs of my daughter and we needed to reschedule. Because somehow 15 minutes is sufficient for an appointment? Each time being billed. When we returned for other issues they were still not addressed, prescription was not given to us and we had to go back the next day for it. My husband had blood work done that was then sent to the hospital to the tune of $900.00? If your going to wait that long, pay that much then go to UCHealth or Centura Health at least the care is efficient and you get the best care possible (yes the wait is LONG in waiting room and in back at LPFP). When I told the lady on the phone we would not be returning she never apologized which I assume meant she didn't care. read more
