This office is not kid-friendly, not compassionate, and completely unprofessional when dealing with pediatric patients. My daughter was in extreme pain during a tooth extraction, crying loudly and trying to get out of the chair due to how traumatic and painful the experience was. Any parent in that situation would be distressed. Instead of showing professionalism, patience, or basic bedside manner, the dentist became confrontational, escalated the situation, and ultimately refused to complete the procedure. She abruptly walked away and told us to "go somewhere else," leaving my child in the chair with instruments still in her mouth, actively bleeding, and with a broken tooth left unfinished. My daughter was left crying, shaken, and injured--both physically and emotionally. Abandoning a pediatric patient mid-procedure is unacceptable and dangerous. This was not just poor service; it was reckless and traumatizing. I will never return here, and I strongly advise parents to think twice before trusting this office with their children.

It kept feeling like we were in a factory on an assembly line and very impersonal. Not really a relationship. By chance, I filled out a post treatment feedback survey and mentioned that we had never even met Dr. G. The next appointment, they made me wait at checkout and she very uncomfortably got in my face saying "Heeeeere I AM. Now you've seen me." It was odd. A couple years later, my son had a bunch of cavities pop. He was quite nervous about it during one filling and they course corrected to help make him comfortable. The next cleaning, Dr. G was the doctor. First time ever 9 years in. She burst into the room and yelled "this time you're getting THE BOSS." He was petrified and wasn't really cooperative. We got the basics done. She recommend 6 fillings, most on baby teeth and that we have him undergo anesthesia in Brighton to have it done. We discussed with his doctor and he recommended against it as it would fuel more concerns with dental anxiety to bring him to a strange place and put him out. He recommended trying an anti anxiety med with a dentist in the office that he had worked with before successfully. We communicated this back to Dr. G but didn't hear back. Flash forward 6 months, we had to get a tooth extracted for my daughter recently at the request of her orthodontist. We called to book and they told us that the family had been removed from the practice due to treatment philosophy. No communication, no notice. This is how we found out. My daughter is devastated as she liked the place a lot. Looking back, it seemed par for the course....impersonal, no relationship, self-important vibe by the owner. In summary, good location, pretty good service and availability but it is her way or the high way. We agree with other comments that she seems more inclined to drill on baby teeth than many other dentists.

They referred me to an office upstairs, which unfortunately wasn't a great experience. After I shared that with them, they kindly referred me to their sister office instead, which I appreciated and everything worked out from there. However, when it came time to move forward with Invisalign, things changed and I was very disappointed. When I left my consultation, I was given three payment options. The option that worked best for me was $136 per month through CareCredit, which reflected a total treatment cost of $5,995 along with the concessions we discussed during my visit. When they followed up with me last week, I was told the treatment cost was now $6,997, and that they could honor a $1,000 down payment option instead. That was not the option I had selected or the one we discussed during my consultation. The sudden increase in price felt inconsistent and honestly left me feeling like the numbers were just being changed or made up after the fact. I've actually had Invisalign treatment before, and considering that this time I'm mainly looking to correct my bite , not redo my entire smile ,the new pricing felt especially aggressive. In fact, I didn't even pay that much during my original Invisalign treatment when my teeth were in a much worse position. Because of this, the situation left me feeling like there may have been a lack of transparency or consistency in the pricing. My most recent experience with Chestnut Hill Dental at 631-A VFW Parkway in Chestnut Hill was particularly disheartening. I chose this dental practice because they were within my insurance network. I had recently undergone a root canal performed by an endodontist on one of my molars, and I needed to replace the temporary filling (which had been placed by the endodontist) with a permanent one. Both the endodontist and my former dentist had recommended a specific filling with the dental code D2391. I reached out to my dental insurance company, and they informed me that the contracted fee with dentists in their network for this procedure was $160, and my out-of-pocket cost would be 25%, amounting to $40. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Prasadini Shetty at Chestnut Hill Dental for the D2391 filling on my molar. However, upon arriving for my appointment, I was informed that they intended to perform a core build-up, which they quoted at $278 as my cost, with the remainder covered by insurance. I reiterated my request for the D2391 filling. A core build-up is typically recommended when the tooth's structure is weak and a crown needs to be done on the tooth. In my case, I already had a crown on that tooth. The endodontist had skillfully performed a root canal by drilling a small hole through the crown. After some persistence, they finally agreed to proceed with just the filling. At this juncture, I became increasingly uncomfortable with their insistence on an unnecessary and costly procedure. For the filling, they requested an upfront copayment of $49, even though my insurance company had assured me that my payment should only be $40 (25% of the contracted fee of $160), and I had already met my deductible for the year. Their explanation for the $49 figure was perplexing. I insisted on paying the $40 as advised by my insurance company, indicating my willingness to cover the additional $9 if my insurance determined it to be necessary after billing. However, they continued to press for the $49 upfront payment before proceeding with the procedure. It became evident that their primary focus was financial gain rather than the well-being of their patients. Fortunately, I recognized their true priorities before committing to any further treatment. Furthermore, I was dissatisfied with the condition of their facility, which was located in a damp, enclosed basement with noticeable rust spots on the ceiling.
