Hygienist Lisa was awesome with a hyper, cabin-fevered kiddo, giving names and "kid-friendly" applications to the entire cleaning process (my fave: Mr. Thirsty for the mouth vac). Any discomfort or unease from my boy melted away with her engaging conversation and demeanor. Thank you Lisa. Dr. Heather was direct and didn't try to upsell X-rays, procedures or anything - just straight-forward advice for the next six months of a constantly changing PreK mouth. Unprofessional, Not Child-Appropriate, and Abandoned a Pediatric Patient…read more I am beyond disappointed with my experience at this dental office, and I feel obligated to warn other parents. This office is not kid-friendly, not compassionate, and completely unprofessional when dealing with pediatric patients. My daughter was in extreme pain during a tooth extraction, crying loudly and trying to get out of the chair due to how traumatic and painful the experience was. Any parent in that situation would be distressed. Instead of showing professionalism, patience, or basic bedside manner, the dentist became confrontational, escalated the situation, and ultimately refused to complete the procedure. She abruptly walked away and told us to "go somewhere else," leaving my child in the chair with instruments still in her mouth, actively bleeding, and with a broken tooth left unfinished. My daughter was left crying, shaken, and injured--both physically and emotionally. Abandoning a pediatric patient mid-procedure is unacceptable and dangerous. This was not just poor service; it was reckless and traumatizing. I will never return here, and I strongly advise parents to think twice before trusting this office with their children.

Then after being told my children were on the waitlist I was informed thy hadn't actually been put on the wait list. When questioning the office manager was rude and hung up the phone. She then emailed me a dismissal for my family. The office staff need to adjust their policies as they lack compassion and understanding.

It's actually an open area with about 3 chairs for the kiddies to be examine (there are exam rooms behind doors as well but this is what you'll see once you go back ) and every seat has a TV place on the top of the ceiling so that the kids can watch (as distractions and/or for them to feel more at eased) while being examine , which I think is a brilliant idea! . The place is very clean, walls colors are bright and everyone always greet you with a warm smile. The doctors and assistance are always helpful and gentle with my toddlers even though my kids are throwing fits and crying. I would highly recommend taking your kids here! The environment is great! The next appointment, they made me wait at checkout and she very uncomfortably got in my face saying "Heeeeere I AM. Now you've seen me." It was odd. A couple years later, my son had a bunch of cavities pop. He was quite nervous about it during one filling and they course corrected to help make him comfortable. The next cleaning, Dr. G was the doctor. First time ever 9 years in. She burst into the room and yelled "this time you're getting THE BOSS." He was petrified and wasn't really cooperative. We got the basics done. She recommend 6 fillings, most on baby teeth and that we have him undergo anesthesia in Brighton to have it done. We discussed with his doctor and he recommended against it as it would fuel more concerns with dental anxiety to bring him to a strange place and put him out. He recommended trying an anti anxiety med with a dentist in the office that he had worked with before successfully. We communicated this back to Dr. G but didn't hear back. Flash forward 6 months, we had to get a tooth extracted for my daughter recently at the request of her orthodontist. We called to book and they told us that the family had been removed from the practice due to treatment philosophy. No communication, no notice. This is how we found out. Most recently, they messed up on my out of pocket $1050 mouth guard and so I had to come back and get the scan done again, they messed that one up too and since they didn't want to pay for another Dr Burt basically forced it in my mouth, it hurt. I told him I couldn't really close my mouth with it in, something my last mouth guard did not do. He said "well then just sleep with your mouth open then" with an irritable tone, extremely inappropriate. It is always NOT healthy to sleep with your mouth open if you can help it. Of course it will fall open sometimes but it is not good for you mouth, already have a slight issue with dry mouth, something they knew about and I wake up every morning with a sore throat. And my jaw is now in even more pain, pain constantly and when eating, and obviously Dr Burt doesn't care. I wasted $1050 dollar out of pocket when I'm already struggling with finances. Now I will need to get a new one at another dentist office, which I can't afford. When I was a teenager he pressured me into a procedure he sprung on me, with severe anxiety as a teenager I wanted to schedule a time to come back when I had properly prepared myself for it but he pressured me into it anyways and at the time I hadn't learned I could push back. Im going to a new dentist who actually cares about their patients. It was also a nightmare to get my medical records sent to me, in the end I didn't even get them sent to me they stopped responding and then sent it to the dentist office directly.
