I should've established care with a pcp however at the time I did not. What started as a few small spots on my body ended up taking ahold of my entire face, scalp and upper body. The NP I had seen there on multiple occasions kept wanting to "guess diagnosis" me. Instead of ordering lab work for a culture. The infection got so bad I lost most of my hair and had to walk around in a headscarf just to hide my melting skin. Finally after 6 long months of being misdiagnosed with their NP I was referred to a dermatologist. It was then I was told I had a staph infection that turned into SSS Staph Scalding Syndrome. I was allergic to the staph so it was literally melting my hair, face and upper body away. I was placed on oral antibiotics for 3 months and if that didn't take I was to be placed under an IV antibiotic drip. Thankfully the oral antibiotics worked but it nearly depleted my immune system causing a whole new chain of events to occur. These NP's KRMC has produced for this facility will unalive you. This place is an absolute joke. If you experience such atrocities and just blatant malpractice contact your insurance company and make a grievance report against these sketchy providers. It's about time these providers that don't care that are intentionally hurting us to be relieved of their duties. I now have scars all over my face and body reminding me of this horrid NP that tried to unalive me there. read more

Probably the most non urgent, urgent care i've been to in my life. i'm traveling across the country and dealt with an allergic reaction on my neck on the road. Also (i ended up having strep on top of that). Besides the point. I walked in, in tears because i suffer with anxiety and i'm out of my hometown. I also CANT properly breathe. she took her time typing in my information and showed little to no remorse. once i got taken in , the lady taking my vitals was not communicating well and seemed non coherent. I asked her if i can be seen immediately due to the swelling i felt in my throat as I was TRYING TO BREATHE. and she says "well ...i need to take .....your vitals first" and she moved insanely slow. I was freaking out by this point like hyperventilating rarely able to talk. i got little to no reassurance from her. when i finally get in a room a lovely doctor talked to me and empathized with me. she explained her years of background working in the medical field which made me feel so much better and related with me a bunch, they got me benadryl and pepcid and also did a rapid strep test. when i tried leaving the appointment when everything was finished up the front desk lady took her sweet time checking me out. clearly seeing me still in distress and overwhelmed and needing to leave to get my prescription. She then gave me the information to a pharmacy that was closed. Mind you when i was given the benadryl in the office, i also asked if the pills they prescribed me at the pharmacy would clash with the benadryl at all and they said "uhhh it shouldn't, ask the pharmacist he should know". Are you not qualified to do your job? i've never in my lifetime felt so invalidated, disgusting, overall i think the worst experience i've ever had in any medical center in my life. My Experience With Systemic Racism at KRMC Urgent Care While visiting Kingman, Arizona, I went to KRMC Urgent Care because I was very sick. I was experiencing severe throat pain, difficulty swallowing, symptoms of tonsillitis, and stomach pain. I clearly told the receptionist multiple times that I was there for tonsillitis and stomach issues. However, my visit was entered incorrectly as "personal." Because of that, staff later assumed I was there for STD testing. When the nurse called me back, the first thing she said was that my visit was for an STD. I immediately corrected her and explained that I never said that. I specifically said "tonsillitis" more than once. I felt stereotyped and judged instead of listened to. The nurse even stated that people who are nervous to say "STD" often say "personal," even though I never used the word "personal" at all. I also waited an unusually long time while many other patients who arrived after me were taken before me. During my visit, I felt dismissed and talked over by the nurse practitioner. I was unable to fully explain my symptoms before being interrupted. When I explained that both my throat and stomach were hurting, I was told I had to "pick one issue," despite the fact that both symptoms were affecting my health. I left feeling unheard, disrespected, and not properly treated. The medication prescribed did not help, and I later had to seek care from another doctor, causing me additional stress and financial burden. As a Black gay man, this experience deeply affected me. I have lived in many places, including Florida, Toronto, and Germany, and I have never before felt this level of discomfort and dismissal while seeking medical care. I understand the difference between normal medical delays and being treated differently. This experience made me feel unwelcome and devalued. When I later contacted a supervisor to report my concerns, I did not feel listened to or supported. Instead of hearing my experience and addressing my concerns seriously, I felt the staff and clinic were immediately defended without investigation. I believe every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and professionalism regardless of race, sexual orientation, or background. My purpose in sharing this experience is to speak honestly about how I was treated and to encourage better communication, accountability, and patient care for others in the future. read more

Coming back to Kingman you realize healthcare services available are so far below national standards. We need an urgent care that has actual scheduling so you aren't sitting in a room with 30 other sick people. Came in early and SO SLOW. Plan to spend at least 2 hrs in the lobby waiting. read more

I'll start this by saying that I did not want to come here but had an accident on a off-road vehicle so had to come and get x-rays. Check in process was straightforward and easy. The gal at the front desk was warm and helpful. I sat in the waiting room for approximately 30 seconds and someone came into get me, everyone from the front desk to the discharge nurse was absolutely professional, helpful, so caring. For being in a lot of pain, they all did their best to minimize it and help take care of me quickly and efficiently from our nurse Brie ann to the x-ray tech to all the docs and pros. God bless them for the shot of morphine they gave me for the pain. It was the best possible experience that I could have for such a shitty situation. I've always had good experiences at KRMC but not today. I went to KRMC Urgent Care. Got assigned Steven Damron - a nurse practitioner. Appointment started off OK but when my wife asked a question Steven got extremely rude. Something about "don't ask me questions now you won't hear the answer because you not even listening. What the heck? KRMC needs to send Steven out for some additional training on how to treat patients professionally and with respect. What would ever make him think talking to a 69 year old woman that way was OK? I would think if he feels comfortable talking this way to patients that this behavior has been tolerated for quite a while, the question is why? read more

If I could give this hospital a zero star rating I would. This was my first time experiencing birth and being a mother, and I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. My birthing experience itself was amazing, and the staff assigned to me at that time were the sweetest. I gave birth shortly after turning 22 and was committed from the beginning to breastfeeding exclusively. After giving birth, I was allowed to go home after three days, but two days later I got a phone call letting me know my baby had developed jaundice and needed to be readmitted for treatment under the UV lights. Once we arrived, things started off fine. I asked questions and got answers. I fully understand that my baby was the patient and I wasn't, but I was only five days postpartum with severe vaginal trauma, lots of swelling, and over 100 stitches. I asked for basic postpartum care supplies like witch hazel pads and Dermaplast spray, and was denied. They told me they could only give me an ice pack and a couple of mesh boy shorts since I was no longer the patient. I was in so much discomfort and felt like I didn't matter. I was already upset when I met the nurse assigned to my baby, and unfortunately, she made things even worse. She told me my son needed the UV light for his bilirubin levels and went over his care plan. Then she weighed him and said his weight had dropped. She said she and the pediatrician agreed they would start weighing him after every feed and watch his growth closely. Of course I was concerned and wanted him healthy, but she didn't stop there. She sat down and told me directly, "There's a possibility he can starve and..." I asked, "Starve and what exactly?" and she said, "Starve and die." I was shocked. I had been feeding my baby every two hours and producing more than enough milk -- 16 ounces every two hours -- and my baby was never showing signs of hunger. He was calm, alert, and satisfied. I was exhausted, healing, and trying my best, and being told I was starving my child broke me. The nurse pushed for formula. I politely declined and said I was breastfeeding, but she insisted. She said, "Please think about what's best for your baby. It's your decision, not your mom's or anyone else's. You have to do what's right for him." I felt completely manipulated. I was crying and still trying to stay polite, but then she came back into the room with a bottle of formula, placed it beside me, and said again, "Please read the ingredients and do what's best for your baby." There is so much more to this story but yelp limits the amount you can write. I'm disappointed in this hospital, and specifically the staff member Nicole who made me u comfortable. I was in emotional distress and ended up going to therapy because of this situation. You can't treat moms like this. It's wrong. Do better. read more

I went here with my husband for I had a bad UTI. I was having urgency, frequent wetting of my undies. I was having pain in my lower abdominal area and low back in my kidney area. My low back was hurting so bad that I couldn't stand up straight and was using my cane. It also was burning whenever I peed. This was my 1st visit to this Urgent Care, and will be my last. I saw Steven Damron, he was not an M.D. I'm not sure if he was a nurse practitioner or what. He didnt have on scrubs or jacket,nor a name tag and he was vert young.He was dressed in plain street clothes. He insisted that my urine test was negative, but prior to coming there I taken an at home UTI test that was POSITIVE. I've gotten UTI's off and on all my life. Sometimes the urine test will show negative but when my doctor would do a blood test it would always show positive. I requested this be done. He refused me and said he'd send my urine in to the lab. A lot of good that will do. HE REFUSED to give me any antibiotics and asked me if I pulled my back. I told him no not that I can think of. The only thing i could think of was I had pushed my little dog over on my bed. Steven, kept insisting, that i pulled my back. He liked playing guessing games with my diagnosis. and what he though I had. I know what my back feels like if I had pulled it. Nor would i have all these other UTI signs. Even after I told him the next stage woould be that I would start peeing blood. I also have had an CKD for many years, and I felt this UTI was now in my kidneys. This guy liked playing games with my diagnosis, percribing muscle relaxers instead. Then he only gave me muscle relaxers of only 5mg . The normal dose even on that should have been 10mg. I worked in medical for over 30 years so I am very knowledgeable and was very unhappy when I left. I called the urgent care on Sunday since noone called me back about my lab results like they said they would. I was put on hold forever. Finially, the girl came back and said the results were negative. I really think they mixed up my urine sample with the another person's urine that was already in there indide their metal box on the wall, or they never sent it out at all. Monday, I saw another doctor and I showed positive on their UTI test, after suffering all weekend in really bad pain. I was given the antibiotics I needed plus pain pills. I've never had this happen at an urgent care before. Where I am refused antibiotics nor offer to retest my urine. I think they need to refund my $20. Copay. I'm an older woman and had been treated patients for over 30 years. DON'T GO HERE people they don't remove their urine samples in a timely manner from the restroom metal boxes, and are mixing them up. Nor do they follow up on lab work they send out.They also like to play games with people's diagnosis. For being a nice clean looking clinic they suck, plus they should have a well side and sick side for people, instead of just sitting everywhere and touching everything. I went to to KRMC urgent care on 2-3-2025 due to an eye infection and a cough and I was told by the receptionist that I would only been seen for 1 thing so pick. I was under the impression that if you went to Urgent care that you would be seen and treated for what was bothering you. I told her I wanted to be seen for my eye ( my eye looked like someone had punched me and had a bunch of goop). Well the prescribed eye drops I am almost done with the eye drops and the swelling has gone down but I still have an infection as there is still goop coming out, and I still have this cough . Was here about two weeks ago for a bladder infection and was treated and released. Fast, courteous, and professional.

Waited two plus hours to be seen. Staff was ok at best. Slow moving office. Problems don't really get addressed. Probably still going to have to see the primary who's is booked out 3 weeks. KRMC is the absolute worst hospital ever. They are poorly run and don't really care about patients. They are definitely money driven. If you need anything involving a specialist do yourself a favor and go to flagstaff. Too many horror stories of the care given here at KRMC. The only good experience was at the out patient lab. Went there yesterday with my mother. She had the flu and took her there last week. They sent her to ER because she has a bad heart. When I went yesterday it was because I had the same thing she had. The Dr said it was highly contagious. Both times Mom went she got antibiotics. Yesterday we saw 2 different Dr. I saw DeBore. He did no culture, never looked in my mouth, no temperature. He decided I have a viral infection. Not true, I have the same thing my Mom has, I got it from her. She gets more anti biotics and I get nothing. I can't sleep for coughing all night. I found some anti biotics that I had from getting a tooth pulled a couple of years ago. I had 6 pills. Started taking them yesterday when I got home and I only have 1 left. I need more to completely get rid of this crud. The urgent care said I have to come back in again. No way am I seeing the same Dr. What a complete waste of my time and money. I have company coming tonight and I can't be around them because now I am contagious. I have liked all the Dr there except this one Dr DeBore. Never seeing him again. I don't know why they couldn't just send a script to Walgreens, it's not like you can get high or addicted to a simple anti biotic. He said it would take 30 days to get rid of. My first time visit there was great, a little wait but you get that at any medical office. I thought I had a urinary tract infection, he took a test say they only saw a little blood in it gave me antibiotics told me to take one today and then tomorrow also and if I was not seeing any improvement than I would go to the ER because I could be passing a stone. He called me at home the next day and asked if I was feeling better I say no he told me to stop the antibiotics and go to the ER which I did and was treated very well there also and I did have a kidney stone. While I was on vacation from Maryland, I wasn't feeling well and visited KRMC Urgent Care Center. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with strep. I can say that the staff from the front desk, to the Nurse Practitioner who treated me, were all extremely nice. Robert Cole, FNP was sensitive to my traveling situation and was very professional, while putting me at ease. He was not only concerned for my welfare, he was concerned that my friends with whom I was traveling took precautions to avoid catching strep. Hopefully the next time I am in Arizona I will not get sick, however, I would not hesitate to visit this Urgent Care Center again. read more

Excellent healthcare. I could not get into my primary care doc and needed to be seen fast so I decided to give this urgent care place a try. They have moved fm Stockton Hill to 1726 E. Beverly Ave. there also seems to be a name revision as well to KRMC Urgent Care. I walked in and reception and services were fast and very friendly. Sandra, a Medical assistant did vitals and tests. She had great communication skills and was very efficient. I was then seen by Ann Garibaldi PA-C. Again another member of the staff friendly, professional and very knowledgable. Would give zero stars if I could, filthy place, the nurses looked dirtier than the sick patients. I went here last year and they misdiagnosed me with strep throat when I had pneumonia. They didn't do a chest x-ray or anything just sent me out with a weak antibiotic that didn't fix the problem. It's now been a year and the pneumonia was mitigated but did not go away all year, I went in again today as the pneumonia has gotten worse and they finally did a chest x-ray which is what they should have done last year. They told me they couldn't read the x-ray so I would need to get a CAT scan, as soon as I said I was self pay they told me to leave and see my primary care. Unbelievably rude staff that did absolutely nothing for me, twice! All I need are antibiotics and they are trying to rip me off with my insurance, I don't think so honey I'm not paying a deductible and having my insurance go up for antibiotics, k, nice try. Update: downloaded the CVS app and scheduled a consultation with a doctor through their MinuteClinic. The doctor gave me a four minute phone consultation and prescribed the needed antibiotics, now I'm gonna go pick them up from CVS in an hour. The consultation was only $60 and I got the meds I needed in little to no time. I would never waste my time with KRMC again the people are rude they took three hours and did nothing for me. read more

Horrible service. Was told I would have to wait 2 - 21/2 hours. Okay, but after an 1 1/2 hour wait was taken into an exam room and the nurse was very nice. He told us the nurse practitioner would be in soon. After waiting another 45 minutes I realized it got very quite so I went out looking to see what was going on. Turned out they all took their lunch break and just left me in the room without even the courtesy to inform me they were taking their lunch break.
