I would definitely recommend this Kroger. The store is kept clean and items are always well stocked. There is a Starbucks inside as well if you care to indulge in a bank-busting treat now and then. ;-) I appreciate that the deli counter carries Boars Head cold cuts. The adjacent bakery section has a nice assortment of cakes, cookies, pies, and various other dessert items. Their breads are decent as well. There's an olive bar, and a hot food area as well. The seafood section has lots of fresh or frozen items to choose from. While the meat section is stocked throughout the day and everything looks fresh, there is a perpetual slightly foul smell in the meat aisle. I can never pinpoint where it's coming from exactly. I've never had an issue with any meats purchased. Just an observation though. The prices on average are a bit higher than Walmart on staple items like dairy and meats. IMHO, the meats are way overpriced on most items. Even compared to Publix, I find the meats to be higher priced at Kroger. The produce section is usually stocked with fresh items. No complaints at all. Their strawberries always seem to be the best quality I can find compared to Walmart or Publix. Same with the blueberries , and other berries. LAstly, I like that their mobile phone app lets you build your shopping list and claim coupons right in the app before you go to shop. Makes the shopping experience more enjoyable and rarely do I get home and say to myself, "Oh... I forgot to buy that!" Overall, I would recommend this location. :-) read more

This Store is So bad that the water was Molded! How does a Store sell Molded Water?!? I seen the reviews here and was Conflicted on Some Five Stars after Reviewing this Store! Either these people worked or work in Kroger because I'm not buying it! The Store is Flimsey Compared to Kroger in grovetown and Publix! There was mildew in bathrooms! I haven't had a bad experience here yet. It's a convenient location, they have a gas station & a Starbucks. They've had everything I was looking for and then some. I noticed they have a lot of kosher snacks and snacks from around the world. Prices are pretty decent. Today I got 20cents per gallon off gas since I have the Kroger card and I had the reward. Normally it's 3cents off gas with the card. read more

From the outside this Kroger looks clean and modern. The compliments stop there. This store is small and frequently out of items even pre pandemic. This location is also notorious for selling items beyond the "sell by" date. In the past 6 months I've accidentally purchased ghirardelli chocolate and home chef products beyond their "sell by" date because they were left on the shelves and I forget to check the dates. Numerous times in the dairy section I've come across yogurts beyond their "sell by" date. I've brought it to the store management attention but they don't seem to be taking any actions to correct the problems. I'd personally avoid this location if possible. read more

Once I became vegan, Kroger was my go to grocery store for everything I needed. I even got to try new stuff like vegan bacon, vegan butter and cheese. I was excited to see so many options. Ice cream, mock meats, non dairy milks and frozen meals. This was definitely the only reason I kept coming back. Customer service was lacking, but probably because there were young kids who were cashier's. I barely got a hello at times. But I no longer live in Augusta, so I won't need a Kroger ever again. read more

Very lovely staff; grocery pick up is efficient and nice; I've had missing groceries and they always make up for it with no issues.

Although this store has been upgraded quite well, they have rearrange over half the products. In the beginning it was somewhat difficult but the management placed "helpers" to combat most of the confusion. As I'm lukewarm on where everything is located, the notion still boggles me of a store moving your expanded natural market to 2 isles?.? Overall it it does have good sales, digital and paper coupons, fast and easy self checkout. It also doesn't hurt it on the way home. read more

This is the Kroger that my room mates and I refer to as "the good Kroger" and we call it that because they have a much better selection of "oops bread" and it always seems to be less crowded. Great standards, right? We love it. The customer service is pretty good at the check out, I haven't ever had a problem finding anything throughout the store either-so their organization is great. read more

Sushi counter - If you're looking for a quick, clean, and tasty lunch, do what I do. Pop into the store and swing over to the sushi counter. There's always an wide range of options to choose from and the soy sauce and chopsticks are conveniently placed in a basket on the side of the cooler. Grab a green tea while you're there. I promise - it's a quick in and out and it's much better sushi than you'd expect from the grocery store. I've never been disappointed there. I generally do this between 1 to 3 times a week. Starbucks at this location is awful...when out of products to make signature drinks, don't get upset with the customer if it taste horrendous. Politely tell the customer you are out of the ingredients and afford the customer the opportunity to make another selection...Epic fail, the rigged up drink . It is irritating how different the two stores are from each other being just a couple miles apart. To get everything I want I have to go to both of them (Martinez and Evans). This particular store is lacking even after the sprucing up they did a couple years ago. The deli counter staff actually know what they are doing and that is about the one saving grace here. The meat department is a joke and most of them won't even acknowledge you, you have to make contact with them to get service. The ground beef is all brought in pre-ground even in the "butcher" case. The meat selection leaves a lot to be desired especially for how much they charge. The produce comes down to what day you are shopping versus what day they received their truck in with the exception of the herbs which are almost always mostly empty. The bathrooms are dirty and they use the hall leading to them as a store room. Lastly the checkout is a mess like most stores now with about two lanes open out of 15 and the person that is supposed to be tending to the self checkout wandering around chatting to other employees. read more

I really like this kroger as opposed to the ones on wrightsboro rd, which is closer to me, and on washington road by alexander drive, which is on my way home. This kroger has a gas station and a starbucks which are bonus's. The parking lot is well laid out and you have a light that will help you get back onto columbia rd. The store is generally well stocked, save a day after a holiday which is understandable. The aisles are wide, the store cluter free, and above all the store feels really clean. I have had really good experiences with the employees that work the deli counter, the produce area and especially the seafood area as well. I can't remember the name of the lady who works the seafood area but she is especially helpful. The other big bonus's of this store is that it doesn't feel overcrowded when it is busy and I feel safe going there even if it is later in the evening. The store also does a good job of placing "manager specials" in the same place each time so that you can look the sale items over without feeling like it is an easter egg hunt. read more

My wife generally has a good experience which is why she shops here. On this particular day there was a slight mishap and there was some spilled milk. My wife requested some help and was handed a role of paper towels. No big deal. She doesn't have a problem helping clean up a mess. Now, I would have at least expected someone to help. Yeah... Not so much this time. My wife didn't even get a "clean up on register two please". (Heck, that's what I would have done if I was irritated by a customer making a mess at my register. Lol! That way everyone could stare at the register trying to see the crazy person that's making a mess in the store) So then the cashier just casually continued ringing up items and the "courtesy" clerk casually wheels the cart around the mess AND my wife so he could put the bags in the cart. I know... Such a big help he was right? Okay. So she finishes cleaning up and pays then asks the cashier if there is a trash can behind her to put milky paper towels in. What did the cashier say? "No." Not, "no but let me see if I can find one" or "here is a grocery bag you can put it in and I'll take care of it" or "I have no clue let me find someone that does". Disappointing. Especially when she gets home and I have to hear about it. I know it sucks to have to clean up after people but come on... What happened to hospitality and customer service. read more
