This unique business offers a variety of garden supplies but also a store that serves as a farmer's market. It has a variety of local produce and also some nice niche specialty items for those in need of dairy-free stuff and the like. There are some dried goods, but one thing this place notably does not have is a bakery. The produce predictably included an enormous amount of peaches, which I did not get because I didn't know what I'd do with them, but perhaps I'll figure something out. Other notable vegetables included some good quality okra and hot peppers. Canned and frozen items were available, though given the climate I expect reasonably good year-round inventory. You'll pay more than at a basic grocery store, but if you really want some nice produce it seems worth it to me. Notably, they have a 3% fee for any card, so it's worth paying in cash. read more

Pros: everything, not only can I find wonderful plants (both for indoor and outdoor plants) while also getting a chance to purchase local produce and products. Today I picked up Some small ferns and some local creamed honey from the Augusta honey company. The staff are so wonderful and helpful (not to Mention knowledgeable about the plants) and the ceramics and Omar's are always a joy to look at. I also love the breadth of their price range so if you want to spend less than $5 you can do that or if you want a big plant purchase they are here for your splurge. There is a "bruised" section that had some good finds for baking. Large frozen section with produce and prepared foods. Lots of tempting sweets and lotions. Living in the city of Augusta, it's easy to forget that a big chunk of the state is rural. Much of what is grown localish is on display at Good Earth Produce and Garden Center. We visited this past weekend and were dazed by the air perfumed with ripe strawberries. We wandered around the produce, marveling at the variety, sampling the melons, and meal planning. Good Earth is part farmer's market, part country store and part plant nursery. It's almost impossible to wander the aisles and not think of what you could do with all the offerings. We picked up some stone-ground grits and other fixings for a big Sunday breakfast, made note of the refrigerator/freezer offerings and fresh butter and even the 'clearance' items. My DH didn't realize Good Earth existed, but he'll never forget the meals that resulted from our visit. We'll definitely be back. read more

Oh dear pumpkin patch!!! I kept watching all the changes while driving by and finally made time to stop. Folks you have to go and see this. Largest variety of pumpkins I have ever seen. Sizes from tiny to well ...... huge. Best of all the back of the roofed over area has a free photo set up for anybody, Great Wall of Pumpkins, straw horses and ponies complete with saddles. Bring the date, the family the teddy bear and take some great fall photos. I did glance at the flowers and plants as well as the store, planning on going back to hopefully do some of my Christmas shopping there as well. read more

I love this garden stop! The staff are so nice and super helpful. I love the layout that they have everything. They have an indoor section, a small grocery section with produce and locally owned items (definitely check that out), and an outdoor section. They have soooo many pumpkins for the fall season so go see those. You won't regret it. They also have a re-pottting section for a fee but can be useful forsure. Come check this local place out. So the peaches smell so good that you can smell them right when you walk through the door!! The fresh strawberries taste amazing and the grapes we got today were that perfect combination of sweet and tart! We also picked up some Dutch Kettle Strawberry Jam and a carrot cake!!! Oh and don't get me started on the Amish butter that big pack of butter is fantastic and tastes much better slathered on my toast with some jam than that regular store bought kind!! If you are on the fence about stopping here you just really need to check them out. This place has the freshest fruits and vegetables and I drive out here especially for that purpose. read more

INSANE selection of pumpkins. Half they have, I have never seen before lol. That said, I would say get your carving pumpkins elsewhere - these are .89 a pound and these babies are easily 15lbs for a decent size one. I spent about $80 on pumpkins that were unique... that I knew I couldn't get at a grocery store, or Walmart... pink ones, lumpy ones, blue ones, green ones, almost black? Tan? Striped? They have ALL... Mums were anywhere from $8.99 to $10.99. I've never bought mums but I felt that was a decent price. The plant selection was a 7/10... I didn't see many, if any, dying or looking sad... Produce was gorgeous... I didn't need anything, but I did find a bag of 8 mini squash for $2 on their 'chefs rack' in the back... and two zucchini for $1... which am excited about lol. Like others... the only reason I didn't rank this 5 stars, is because I do think, at least the pumpkins, were overpriced. Probably not for everyone... I did notice quite a few folks wandering with LV bags - which I was instantly jealous of lol... and maybe I'm not their target market... but I did love the experience and did spend between produce, plants, and pumpkins. read more

This is my first time visiting good Earth. The store is very clean and well laid out with delicious air conditioning. They seem to have a really nice selection of good locally grown items. A nice feature is their clearance section which can get you some nice deals if you're ready to eat them right away. All in all it looks really good, I will be back. read more

I really enjoy the variety of items available here, and I know the owner tries to source the produce locally as much as possible. Recently I have been visiting more for the extended plant sale area. This location has plants for indoor and outdoor use, and they have both sun and shade outdoor plant selections. You can find carnivorous plants in their bog table setup, succulents, cacti, and a huge variety of monstera. They have all the strings you could want - dolphins, pearls, and turtles. In addition, you will be able to find many types of landscaping trees. The quality of items provided is typically very high. The only reason I rate it at a 4/5 is because the pricing definitely puts many of the plants outside of my budget. There are several more rare options, and they are definitely worth more than their common counterparts, but might be found elsewhere at a lower price. They do have a small discounted produce shelf, and a small clearance area for plants if you are shopping on a budget and don't mind a diminished quality. read more

We learned of this place from a local at a houseparty. The wife shops the store, I shop the garden center. I've been able to pick up some nice deals on bulbs and plants in their discount bins. So far everything looks like it is coming up. Bought a lemon/line tree combo for $40 as I couldn't find lemon or lime trees anywhere and I searched HD, Lowes, and the flea markets. Some plants won't ship into GA so this was a lucky find. GEPGC looks a bit pricey on their selection of planters. The wife likes the selection and buys things that the Fresh Market and Sprouts may not be selling. Offering a Military discount is a nice bonus. read more

Love coming here for produce. The cantaloupe they have is hands down some of the best cantaloupe I can ever remember eating. I will get around to trying all their jams, jellies, pickles, etc. I appreciate that they have events every so often to show off the items they have in the store. Today they had a few different meats out to sample from Witter Farms in Aiken. The sausage had a great flavor and I would be willing to try more from them. Looking forward to the peaches I got today for the peach & Brie flatbread I'm making for dinner tomorrow! We've shopped here multiple times for produce and flowers/garden needs but unfortunately just had a terrible experience that has me questioning if we'll go back. We bought a mum six days ago and watered it and kept it in sun and unfortunately it died. We bought two at the time and the other is doing fine. We brought it back today and the staff was extremely rude to the point I was caught off guard and frankly quite embarrassed after they told me it had not been cared for properly. I reminded them we bought two and the other is fine. They said there was nothing they could do and that it was dead. I left disappointed and disheartened by how I was treated and the overall poor customer experience. read more

Soooo glad they finally opened back up after remodeling. Same great service same home grown goodies. Very clean and organized for a produce/garden market. The flowers and yard plants are in a separate outdoor patio. So many to choose from. The staff is very friendly and on hand to help if needed. They have fresh shelled peas and beans. Butter beans, butter peas, black eye peas, pink eye peas, speckled butter beans, English peas, fresh butter, etc. Just wanted to name a few. O..O. did I mention they do military discounts as well as give you a punch card for additional savings once it is punched up. I love this place. On Sunday, May 10, 2020, my family and I visited your store at approximately 6 PM. As we approached the register for checkout, the associates were oddly hesitant to provide service. The two young ladies glared at one another as though they were debating "who would check us out." It was an extremely unsettling feeling as a customer. We felt as though we may have missed some form of memo. Finally as one of them decided to ring up our purchase, she lacked genuine customer service, made no eye contact and I had to ask several times if she could repeat herself as she mumbled the price. Once the transaction was complete, I said "thank you," as I picked up my plant and we walk towards the door. Not a word was uttered in response from neither of the associates. Truthfully, this left an awful impression of your company from a first-time shopper. I am utterly offended to have been treated in such a manner. I am reluctant to ever shop again with you all again. This place has better and cheaper produce than other grocery stores, and I think the only groceries that aren't local are fruits such as bananas. One time I bought homemade apple butter from there, and it tasted like Autumn. So delicious! The staff is usually great, the cashiers tend to remember who you are! My Mother and I purchased 5 mums. I went by the store one week later w/ pictures. 2 of the mums did not bloom. They advised watering more often and repotting the plants. I did both. Mums still did not respond. I went back after 2 weeks with pictures and asked the manager to have the 2 mums replaced. $6 each. Manager said, they would have replaced the mums after a few days. I was not offered a new mum after my first visit. I followed the directions and the plants did not respond. I should have been given 2 new mums. Terrible customer service. Before I came here I looked at the pictures on google and I had high hopes, but when I got here it was a total let down. I was so excited to see all the nice houseplants they had but at the time I went they hardly had any. They had a small selection of succulents including one string of pearls hanging basket of which I got and some outdoor plants like hostas, bromeliads,and ferns. The also had one or two of random houseplants but that was all my sister got one kind of small alocasia and I got a small caladium (they had a nice selection of caladium I will say) but that was all. They have good pots and a great indoor section of produce like homegrown veggies and jams and stuff for the kitchen and cooking. But they also had a lot of flowers and a little section of vegetables that you could grow outside the greenhouse portion of the property. The inside is pretty small I will add. So overall I will rate the greenhouse portion a 2.5 out of five and the inside portion a 5 out of and the outside portion a 4 out of five but that's only looking at it from a gardeners point of view otherwise it would be a 2 out five because I personally only want houseplants. read more
