Everyone is quick to post bad things but we also need to post when we get special service. Was shopping on 11-14-24. The cashier at my register (Barbara) and the cashier at the next register deserve a special thanks. There was no one else in line to check out so not inconviencing anyone. I decided I wanted another item and while Barbara paused my transaction, the other lady went to get the item for me. I appreciated their kindness so much. My knees are not what they used to be. So nice to run into friendly caring people. So many people just can't be bothered. read more

This is for the deli- we are in the pandemic with face masks required and the guy in the deli has his pulled down to his neck and was about to cut my cheeses - breathing all over them. I said no thanks! He was also really huffy, like I inconvenienced him my asking him to cut cheese for me. As for the store: They do have a good craft beer selection but recommend if you want proper Covid protection, friendly staff and good boars head meats and cheeses go to Ingles in Kingsport read more

I was appalled. Today the 14 November I went to Kroger and the lack of mask wearing was awful. Even some of the staff were wearing masks under their chin. There were six people at the deli counter without a mask. Obviously Kroger doesn't care about public health. Not going back. read more

Paragraph 1: Backstory Paragraph 3: How the Kroger pharmacist quickly showed she was a cold, hearted witch Paragraph 7: Don't waste your time with this horrific and sad pharmacist, go to CVS My first doctor's appointment to treat my asthma was Wednesday, October 2nd. I was given Asmanex Twisthaler with 14 doses (twice a day) for the next 7 days until my next appointment, to see if it did help manage my breathing problems. My daily medication ran out Tuesday night, I did not have it for my Wednesday appointment. On Wednesday of last week I had a follow-up doctor's appointment to go over tests and plan a course of action based on my visit from the previous week. I was prescribed 4 medications. Ferrous sulfate, for my severe anemia. Vitamin D3, for my Vitamin D deficiency. B12 supplement, for my B12 deficiency. Most importantly, Asmanex, a daily medication for my severe asthma. This time it was 60 doses to do until my next appointment in one months time to check on my thyroid issues. Within the last year I switched to KROGER PHARMACY from CVS, because my fiancé uses it and I thought it would be easier for my family to have our prescriptions filled in the same location. Thursday, I had my fiancé pick up my medication for me. Only TWO of my medications were filled, the Vitamin D3 and Iron supplement. I did not have my asthma medication for Thursday. Friday, I called my doctor to ask why I only received 2 medications out of 4. The office personnel said that my meds were all called in. Friday I did not receive my asthma medication. Saturday, today, I called KROGER PHARMACY to see if my medications were ready to be picked up since they had all been called in. Evidently, the B12 AND my DAILY ASTHMA MEDICATION had to be ordered! NO ONE called me to tell me, I had absolutely NO IDEA. I wouldn't have it until Monday! From Tuesday night to Saturday morning, 4 DAYS I went WITHOUT my DAILY medication. If I had to wait until Monday, that is 6 DAYS WITHOUT A DAILY MED for me. I expressed my urgency, that it was a true emergency and I needed something. I begged and pleaded with the pharmacy tech, the pharmacist, everyone. I considered going to the Emergency Room or to Urgent Care, just so I could get a new prescription so that KROGER PHARMACY may (or may not) have it in stock so I COULD BREATHE. I even asked if they could give me the name of LITERALLY ANYTHING that they DID have in stock for asthma so I could get the same prescription if the ER or UC were my only options. Instead of helping someone with breathing problems in a true emergency, THEY LAUGHED at me. They said they COULDN'T HELP ME UNTIL MONDAY or GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. After I briefly cussed them out with every and any word I could think of, I called CVS PHARMACY- WEST STATE STREET (my original pharmacy). The pharmacist at CVS is truly God sent. She understood my EMERGENCY. I worked until 7pm tonight, Saturday night, and my fiancé worked until 6pm. CVS Pharmacy closed at 6... BUT this Godly woman STAYED FOR 15 MINUTES after CLOSING so that my fiancé could go there after work and get my medication for me. 6:15pm is when that wonderful woman left her job. She went above and BEYOND for me in my urgent time. It is DISGUSTING how KROGER treated me. I am honestly in disbelief that they treated someone with a true, urgent need like TRASH. To laugh at someone begging to get their lung disease medication? Asthma is NOT a joke. Asthma is when your airways become inflamed, narrow and swell. Your airways also produce mucus, making it even harder to breathe. For someone like myself, an asthma attack could lead to DEATH. 3,564 people die from this lung disease each year, that is approximately 10 people losing their lives by NOT being able to breath due to a flare up/attack EACH DAY. Only 36 people die PER YEAR from dog attacks. This is SERIOUS AND SHOULD NOT BE TREATED AS A JOKE. Over my cold dead body will I ever step into the disgrace of Kroger ever again. I will NEVER spend my hard earned dollars on their products (if they have them in stock- haha) to wage their cold, heartless employees to act like that to their customers. It is pathetic and sad. I don't have their names (Kroger or CVS), but you bet your ass I will get them. read more

Okay prices I mean some things are better prices than other I don't like that their kroger brand is not the cheapest anymore

I discovered something here not carried by any other grocer in the area: HOMESTEAD CREAMERY ICE CREAM! It's delicious by far than any other ice cream and rich and natural and made nearby. I love the Black Raspberry, but they also have the basic C-V-S and Butter Pecan. Thank you Kroger for carrying this fine Virginia product! Find it on the bottom of the end cap freezer (poorly displayed-you can't read the flavors) in the one facing the self checkout lanes, not with other ice creams. They have pumpkin and eggnog this month too. read more

This store is no better than any Kroger stores. And in certain aspects of service it is worse, especially if you are using self checkouts often because the attendant is lousy and usually is not attending the bench at all of the times. Sometimes you have to just stand there and wait until someone comes up and pushes the button to override and enter discount. This lousiness can be seen in other departments as well: like in sea food, bakery, and salads. Very often no one is behind the counter and it is very hard to get someone to serve you. This store is best for grab and go type of shopping. But if you need to slice, weight, or cook something, go to another store. read more

I go here because it is closest to my house and most of the time have good deals but no matter the season you need to wear 4 layers of clothing because they keep it 20 below. They say corporate controls the temperature but come on your not hanging meat in the bread aisle. The bathrooms are always disgusting. My kids have to use it and over 2 years the doors to the restroom have never ever been cleaned! Wake up management or I'll go across town to wally world where at least I won't get pneumonia! read more
