Less than 5 minutes I got a return call letting me know that they have the same box available as the customer would not be picking up till 4:00 pm later that day. No worries, the owner was so patient and calmly explained how to reach his shop. Great customer service and again, the quality of the meat was exceptional and of a better quality. Seemed odd but okay and went in to settle up. My friend and I split the half so should have been around 900 for each of us but when we saw the bill it's was 1213.00 each. So for the half it was 2426.00. We should have just walked out but I think we were both I shock and stunned at the price. I asked about how much meat was there and was told around 310lbs but had no way to prove it. We were both very disappointed with what we were told compared to what we received. Plus we got a bunch of soup bones as part of the meat weight. We spent approximately 12 hours driving up to get this order. Very shocked and disappointed. We will never buy from them again. Our order ended up costing a little over 9.00 a lb.

Called Smokey Mountain Meats (now owner of Capital Meats) the next day and they referred me to the driver who didn't answer so I left a VM. Called SMM again the next day and spoke to the driver who was there and he said he'd come Saturday for a refund and honor the 3-day return since we spoke within 3 days. Of course he didn't come Saturday, he had to wait for his wife to pick up his son, and wait for a ride to my house since he had no transportation - I offered to come to him, and he said I could go to SMM, and I said they always referred me to him. No responses since, of course. This is a sham and a scam and a rip-off no matter what the business responds, just look at all the one-star reviews on BBB and elsewhere. They are huge and they don't skimp on the meat.
