Not sure why this Kroger has less than 4 stars. It js one of the cleanest and most organized Krogers ai have been to in a bit. I stopped in on a road trip to grab a healthy meal for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised to see the cleanliness and that everything was in its place. I was able to find what I needed quickly and was happy to see how many varieties of clean, gluten free cereal they have. We used self checkout and everything worked fine. I used the Self-scan checkout at Dundee Kroger on 10-30-25, around 1:10pm. I have heard employees talk about co-workers in this store a lot! This is my first time writing a review, but this checkout experience was so uncomfortable; I am sharing. The woman at the Customer Service desk and the woman manning these self-checkout (CHEC 500) were nonstop talking very negatively about a couple of coworkers. Seriously, it is so unprofessional; not to mention uncomfortable for customers to hear! That said, this review is in hopes that something positive may come from it. I love the inside of the store and shopping is easy. However, if you want a pickup order, beware they load your bags up as heavy as they can. For some reason, all of the Powerade, Red Bulls, and heavier items were thrown into one bag. Makes for a very inconvenient trip from the car to the house, please use common sense. read more

Their cutting down on human staffed check out lanes and increasing the automated ones, which I have a major problem with as I don't like being part of a system that eliminates people's jobs. On the weekends they intentionally have a low number of human staffed checkout lanes open to encourage people to use the automated ones because people don't want to wait in a long line. Fuel points is the only thing keeping me. If you ever discontinue them, I'll fire you on principle. read more

Most Kroger stores will scan a Kroger card if you forgot yours. This one doesn't so paid $20 instead of $14 for 2 items on sale. Not that that is major money, just irritating. read more

If I could give less than a star I would. I waited over 15 min at the Deli (not the first time I've had to wait), I finally got a manager the girl I deli was new. She ignored me when I said excuse me I need help. The manager had her wait on me and she said she couldn't understand me. I speak English. I understand I'm short and a lot of times I don't get seen but to be treated as rudely as I was today I'll go somewhere else the manager never even apologized read more

Let me start by saying that this store is n business only because they are the only grocery in the area. If Meijer or anyone else opened a store in Dundee, Kroger would quickly go out of business. Let me list just some of the complaints: -They don't stock shelves to make it convenient for customers. In the morning hours the aisles are blocked with people stocking. - People who do their own shopping have to dodge Kroger employees who are picking up on line orders. - The stocking isn't done at night, so it is hard to find certain items early in the morning. I have to make a tri back later this morning I hopes they have stocked the items I want. That's not helpful. - At the checkout in the early morning one has to do a self checkout even if one has a lot of items. I had about $100 worth of items. It was inconvenient and more time consuming for me to do it. - And, after having the pleasure of self checkout, the machine called a Kroger employee over to check my cart. The machine screen said "29 items. Help is on the way." There was nothing to "help" with. I believe they just wanted to make sure I wasn't trying to steal something. As I said, if there was ANY competition to this place, Kroger would be out of business in a flash. read more

This place was a lifesaver! One of the only places to get food on thanksgiving in the area. We were in desperate need of a few things and they had it all.The prices were decent and the cashier was pretty fast. I would recommend this place. read more

Wish I could give less stars. Kroger is one of my favorite grocery stores, but this one is poorly stocked, uncleanly and is not well managed. They seem to thrive on selling off expired foods at discount pricing. Also, about four days ago I bought some discount bagels for my brother and I, and within an hour after eating them my brother got food poisoning. After calling and being ignored, I went to the store to let them know they should be more aware of what they're selling to their customers, and the manager completely dismissed me and acted like he didn't believe me. Small, friendly Kroger whose location makes it a great stop off of US-23 on your way to Ann Arbor.

This store is severally underrated. The employees do their best with the consistently poor management. It's sad to see the young ones look as if you're going to yell at them because I'm sure so many people have. I've seen many reviews complain about the size which isn't something the store necessarily has control over. It's a small, friendly Kroger that you can get in and out of very quick and easy. Hopefully they fire those awful managers. read more

The store is filthy. The restrooms should be condemned. If you enjoy spending $$ and then throwing away products after you get home, you're in luck. Have purchased meats, cheeses, and various items to find many are spoiled, molded, or worse. The produce - worst I've ever seen for sale anywhere. The bottom line is, they are the only game in town [within a 15 miles radius] and they obviously know it. If another grocer moves to Dundee, this place is toast - which will obviously be made with day-old bread. read more

Had a great experience with the bakery! Ordering a cake online allows you to add standard details of roses, balloons, and a message. So I went this route for an anniversary cake with the message "Happy Anniversary." When I went to pick up the cake the folks in the bakery went ABOVE and BEYOND the standard call of duty, detailing the cake with several rosettes and green vines! They saw the message and took it upon themselves to make it special. And when they smudged some of the frosting when packaging the cake, they both re-frosted it and gave me a discount for any possible remaining smudges. I won't go anywhere else for cakes. Great price. Moist and delicious. Great service. You can't beat it. read more

Wanted to take advantage of our gas rewards for our RV. Not much room to swing at the pumps but even harder when they have pallets all over the place. We had to unhook our tow car to make it all work. Gas stations need to think a little more about how to accommodate motor homes. I'm just sayin' . read more

The employees are always nice to me. The prices of meat are high, though, so I go to smaller meat markets for that. The return bottle room smells awful so I try not to walk past it, which works out because it's near the meat section. The parking lot at night is not lit that well, so that gets scary. read more
