This is the one at 1856 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30324, next to The Pagoda Chinese Restaurant and across the street from Sprouts Farmers Market. I originally planned to fill up at the BP at the corner of Cheshire Bridge and Lindbergh (2320 Cheshire Bridge Rd NE), not too far away, but some of their pumps were out of premium *and* the price for premium was over $4 a gallon (this was before the war in Ukraine caused prices to spike). I know you don't go to BP for cheap gas, but even I have my limits. I continued on home, saw this BP, and pulled in. Sub-$4 premium gas and $0.12 per gallon cash back via GetUpside was good enough for me. Unlike most gas stations I've used GetUpside at, in order to get cash back at this BP, I had to submit a photo of my receipt to GetUpside. It was an extra step. It can also cause a delay (2-4 business days) in the processing time for the cash back. If you haven't used GetUpside (app) before, I recommend it. Use my invite code DANIEL66482 to get an extra $0.15 per gallon cashback the first time you use the app. The app has worked well for me over the past 1.5+ years. It's free cash back with no gimmicks, so a no-brainer, like the restaurant app Seated (which I also use). This is your run-of-the-mill BP. It's small, with only 8 pumps, 4 on either side of the convenience store. No automatic car wash. I used pump 7 and the buttons and receipt area were dirty and worn. The pump worked fine, though, and disengaged at the right time. Receipt printed clearly. This BP is open 24/7. I visited on a Tuesday shortly after 8pm and I saw an employee ride up on his bike to start his shift. He was in good spirits. "Piedmont BP" is what printed on top of my pump receipt here.

Despite its rough appearance, it's actually not that bad of a place. Gas prices are usually at least 10 cents cheaper than the BP station a couple miles north in Buckhead. There are almost always two people working, so if you have to go inside to pay it's quick and they're really nice. They play awesome music outside. If you're coming from the interstate, take exit 2. This RaceTrac opened in 2013. It's popular, well-worn, and is showing its age. In metro Atlanta, like QuikTrip, I'm generally a fan of RaceTrac for their big gas stations and convenience stores. They're typically bright, clean, well-stocked (both inside and out), and modern. Also, the gas prices are reasonable. This is a highly-trafficked RaceTrac and I'm willing to bet one of the highest-grossing in Georgia due to the busy area where it's situated. I stopped by this RaceTrac to fill up on my way to nearby Wolf Creek Golf Club in South Fulton. This RaceTrac has 22 pumps and an RT6K build (6,000-square-foot design), the current generation of large-style convenience store. I had no issues except the pump wouldn't accept contactless payment via my NFC credit card. Not a big deal. I was still in and out in a matter of minutes. While not the nicest nor in the best condition of the all the RaceTrac stores I've been to due to high customer volume, I would still return.

Four stars is solid and a reach for this location. If a Murphy's is in your normal route - it's worth gathering points and getting gas lower than any other gas station around. The points do not expire and give you a dime off already lower than neighboring prices per hundred points. And monitoring the site for items that add points is usually filled with actual products you use. If you are a snacked like we are- you will enjoy the variety of snacks offered in such a small space. Always something new to try and your ride along favorites are here as well. Gone are the days when the crew is paying attention to the consumer. Very transactional.
