This Kroger has the best layout and wide aisles of any Kroger I have been to. It is spacious and clean. I found the items I was looking for. This is not the closet Kroger to my home but it has become my preferred Kroger. read more

This store has an awful set up. It is nearly impossible to find items. The dairy section literally runs right into frozen food. I was looking for Bob Evans mashed potatoes and they were in the most random spot. They really need to update the isles! When you walk in it's very nice. Looks modern, but as you walk through the store, you'll see it isn't. They have more chips, candy, and cookie isles than they do for actual food for meals! read more

The people working behind the deli counter need extra support. The individual that "helped" me yesterday was fairly aggressive, and needs to understand meat slicing thicknesses. I asked for thin, and in my pack of ham is a piece of meat that is ridiculously thick. I almost think he did it on purpose to be disagreeable. read more

I have a friend who was shopping two days ago at the Howell Kroger. She caught an underage male employee video taping with his phone up her dress. He did not touch her, she just felt his presence behind her and caught him. He even admitted it and showed her the video. The manager handled the situation very, very poorly, yelling at her to leave the store. That woman is still working there. A very sad situation and hurtful to my friend who felt very upset and horrified. I will not shop there any more. read more

Let me start off by saying that I'm comparing this Kroger to all other Kroger's that I typically shop at which is why it got a two-star review. This Kroger is old in comparison to other Kroger's in the area. It has not had any upgrades to the shelving or flooring that you would typically see in the surrounding Krogers. Upon walking in I was completely surprised about that. That being said this Kroger does have a good selection of organic foods which seems to be stocked regularly. One thing that I do not appreciate is the fact that the deli and the warm food area is a complete guess whether it will be opened or not when you get there. I understand that this is due to covid and understaffing at these locations but to not have any set hours or know if anyone is going to be there to provide you with service is pretty abysmal. One other interesting fact about this Kroger is their parking lot. It's completely outdated and has not been touched up in what I am guessing is years because you clearly cannot tell where you are parking because all the lines are gone or faded beyond recognition. I really don't understand how the condition of this Kroger is the way it is considering where it's located in a very popular area now. One positive that I would like to mention is that there are a lot of employees here who are very helpful and tend to be happy that they are working here from the interactions that I've had. In the end I think I'm just disappointed at this Kroger in comparison to others. I'm hopeful it's on a short list to be renovated. read more

Gas prices are ridiculous right now. What ham sandwich is going on. I can't believe this. It's crazy out here.

I'm 69 and cashier refused to sell me beer. I had left my DL in car and she said she had to have it or couldn't sell it to me. What!! What is the purpose of seeing my driver's license??? Is she going to scan it?? Type in my DL #?? I don't think so. I was probably older than her. I assure I do not look like I'm under 21. This was an embarrassing confrontation and very bad customer service. read more

I usually love this Kroger. Every day we buy milk and groceries. Usually around 7AM Turdy greets us. She is so sweet. But today I had an unfortunate event. Denae approached me around 2:10PM as I was gathering my groceries. She told me " I am the store manager, I am the BOSS." She said she will take away my milk, my lettuce, my bananas, my almond and coconut milk. Not only will she take away all my groceries, she said I will be kicked out of this Kroger forever. Just because I wanted to buy 10 gallons of milk. She said only one milk per person. I was was so embarrassed because she was literally YELLING at me and everyone was watching. There was no sign that said limited quantities or only one milk per person. I have bought gallons of milk at a time here for at least 2 years already and I never had someone talk down to me and treat me like that before. Well if she really wants to kick me out I guess Kroger no longer wants my money. I hope you're happy Denae for your horrible service. I no longer recommend this Kroger. I'll shop at Meijer from now. If you want proof, Dairy Manager Jessica and Sarah, another sweet employee and Turdy, along with all the customers at the time, all witnessed this horrible event. Compared to the other surrounding grocery stores, this one is upkeeped the worst, and Wal-Mart is a better option. Everything is cluttered and the one time I bought a steak there it went bad in 1 day, called a rude customer service manager who hung up the phone on me when I asked if I could get a refund for the steak. Needed to find eye drops because I scratched my eye went to find the nearest person and 'Karla' was walking out of customer service and couldn't just tell me where eye stuff is at. Told me customer service closes at 8... customer service should happen all the time no matter what time your counter closes. read more

Kroger in Howell Mi has turned into a corner party store. There selection is small if they have it. It's sad when u have to leave Howell and go to another city, if you want to go to Kroger, for a selection. There meat and produce department is almost non existent. read more

Always clean and well stocked. They have a pretty good fresh prepared sushi bar and their deli is small but has a decent selection. They have the best produce in Howell, baring the farmer's market in the summer. Their build your own 6 pack is also a nice addition as you can sample a pretty nice variety of beers. Well organized store that doesn't take you 2 hours to walk through like some of the big box stores. I actually prefer this store to the newer Kroger in nearby Brighton just because I can get in and get out a LOT faster. Checkouts are always well staffed, friendly and, most importantly, FAST. Can tell they haven't fallen prey to the union checkout issues at their competitors. read more

The recent remodel stirs the senses, inspiring your girlfriend to nag about the lack of organization in your own home. The seasonal fireworks encourage patriotism, and the low priced school supplies ensure your children will stay in school. The beautiful woman who prepares fresh sushi is quite the conversationalist, open to discussing the finer points of culinary cunning, or even the complexities of the online course she is taking on metaphysics and epistemology. Ah, this Kroger is an experience all to its own. It exudes class, bubbles forth an ironclad fortitude, and is a reservoir for the soul. The store is clean, and swells to capacity with the kind of folks who make you proud to be an American. The cashiers are friendly, slipping you plenty of free extras as you check out; free smiles, priceless quips, and the occasional wink. My only disappointment is this; The build your own 6 pack section has not helped me fortify my abdomen. Sadly my once frail and thin frame has now burst forth with waistline girth and frivolity. This Kroger, and no other Kroger, will bring you success and happiness for years to come. I highly suggest you straighten out your affairs and attend. read more

They do there best and sometimes get overwhelmed as you will notice a cart shortage from time to time. However, recently I was in the store and it was off the charts busy. Normally, I would flinch at the idea of sitting in line and fighting through the busy aisles...Not this time. Instead, they were moving like a well-oiled machine. Normally, the self check-out line is where the majority of the people are and the speed is the fastest. These lanes were filled with a half-dozen waiting and we were in a hurry. Reluctantly, we took our place third in line in the express lane; I was amazed before I had time to inspect the next lane, we were moving. Baggers were at every lane and the speed was lightning. I continued to stare in awe, realizing the entire check-out area was operating at full potential. Kudos Howell Kroger! You rocked it out the day after the New Year and your stock was great; the store was clean; and all were pleasant. read more
