I had a great shopping experience here after stopping in to grab my Dad a few packages of his favorite steaks, unfortunately I missed the sale which would of saved me a lot of money but still a good value is you consider the quality and vast selection. The store was very clean and fully stocked and the air conditioning was like an oasis from the high humidity and temperatures this time of the year in SW Louisiana. I am extremely disappointed and angry with Kroger's service and product quality. Yesterday I bought five bottles of milk from your store, and four of them were already three months past the expiration date. Today my daughter took one bottle to school and found it had gone bad. When I checked, it was three months expired. She had to throw it away immediately. I went back to the store with the three unopened expired bottles to ask for a refund, but the female customer service representative was extremely rude and unprofessional. She argued with me, blamed me for not checking the date myself, and refused to take responsibility for your store's mistake. She also refused to refund the bottle my daughter had already thrown away, only agreeing to refund three bottles. This is clearly your store's fault for selling expired milk, not mine. It is illegal under FDA regulations to stock expired products. The staff's attitude was also terrible and she refused to admit any mistake. Went by to take a walk after going by Lit pizza . Only went to walk the Pizza off, and walk directly into all these king cakes. Heaven There's enough King cakes for everybody in Louisiana. King cakes are cheaper than the casino that's a winner! I got a strawberry king cake ! Their store is very clean and friendly staff. Self check out. I had a problem with the Register, but the lady came very quickly fixed it and I walked out, the cake excellent. I'll go back to get king cake for my girl before I leave back to Houston read more

This store always has most of the self checkout registers closed the employees They have checking people out do not care and are unfriendly they're usually on their phones, not paying attention, or not wanting to help any customers. Father's Day weekend, peak grocery shopping time - 3 registers open......... I pay 100% of the money and expect 100% of the job to be done. I swear next time I come get groceries, I am going to walk up to one of the self check out booths, wait a second, then just walk off. Since I don't live in this state anymore here's why I don't like Kroger's; especially this one. I applied to this store back in April 2020, right when everything was closing down because of the pandemic. The customer service women were rude. My appt with the manager was at 12pm. He told me to meet him outside his office. When I got there I had to actually wait in the customer service line and it was already 12:15 pm. I was really standing there for 15 minutes just to ask where the manager's office was. The women there said "you need to be patient" uhh what? How am I suppose to be patient if you're not telling me where his office is so I can go there because my interview started 15 minutes ago? They were all so bad. It was horrible. The interview was super boring; and the pay was only $8.30 an hour lol. I came from a state where they actually pay you $18 and over, actually have manners, and work around your schedule. When I heard the pay was only $8.30 an hour I was like "the fuck" in my mind. I didn't want to be working for THAT little, but I needed it. I ended up getting unemployment which was $636 a week, which was way better than getting paid $8.30 an hour. Don't apply here. Apply somewhere else where they actually have manners. So much for southern hospitality. read more

The only reason there is one star is because there are a small few employees there that care about customer experience. Those are the ones who should be leaders but I feel as if Kroger's COUNTLESS "policies" limit these more caring individuals from influencing the store as a whole. I have been multiple times in a row now, every time has been slow, halted by "policy" and the express opposite of convenient. We order groceries from our home in Houston to be picked up curbside for my mother- in-law who lives in LKC and is unable to go inside the store herself. We have tried to be patient because of the virus, but they have continued not meeting any rational expectation over many orders. Our order is consistently missing normal items that should be in stock. The last time my wife was in town she actually went into the store after picking up an order which was missing five items. She found four of the five herself. This last time we ordered 10 bananas and got one. They were apparently out of any kind of oven roasted or honey roasted turkey sandwich meat. They were out of dental floss. Lastly they were out of any 16.9 oz water. This has happened so often that we can only conclude that the "pickers" are lazy or incompetent or not trained or managed properly or that those who order merchandise are incompetent or the amount of money allocated to them by management is too limited. Where it not for my mother-in-law's misplaced loyalty to Kroger we would already have switched to Market Basket. read more

This store is crazy big like almost overwhelmingly big. However this is definitely something LC needed! This place is incredible, from the huge fresh produce department to the peanut butter grinder, that's right they have a peanut butter grinder y'all. Its just peanuts and then you hit this little button and the peanuts get ground down into the butter so so cool! They also have a HUGE cheese department *salivate* so many new cheeses to try so little time... Another cool this is how much local products they sell, from Louisiana beer to the Louisiana potatoe chips (zapps). Overall just a really cool place to shop! read more

Requests for assistance take forever. I gave up after 3 intercom pages and waiting 15 minutes for a manager to come unlock a security cabinet (yes, the manager is the only one with the key). I'll shop elsewhere, the manager is clearly too busy for customers. read more

I ordered pickup and didn't realize when I added several items instead of adding to my existing order i had created a new order to be picked up at the same time. Picked up the order and kept getting a call asking when I was picking up my order. I was surprised but informed them several times that my order was picked up. This is where the complete and total lack of communication becomes obvious. When I realized I was missing several items I went through my order and saw what happened. Contacted them the following morning and was told items were returned to stock but since I had been charged they would prepare it and I could pick it up that afternoon. I called back to ask a question about the pick up and was told they weren't going to prepare my order and I would automatically be refunded since I didn't pick it up. I never got the refund, contacted customer service via email with no response, and filed a dispute with my bank. So happy Albertson's as well as Walmart now have pickup that is quick and easy. Congratulations you just lost a loyal customer over less than $20. read more

There is an annoying screeching noise at the entrance (from the automatic doors??? Not sure) that is some kind of pitch that must resonate with my grumpy side, because every time I go there I seem to leave in a bad mood. When I wised up to it, and decided to make a quick run in and out for some cheese (their selection is fuN!), just to minimize the discomfort, I STILL got a headache--it grates on my ears even in the parking lot. Together with the understaffed check out lanes, forcing me to the ill-attended self-checkout section, I'm not interested in going back there, despite the bigger selection of things. read more

The Sushi Bar is totally awesome!! All of the Sushi Chef's are great. They are knowledgeable about the different combinations to use when providing delectable morsels for everyone to try. They make recommendations of specialty rolls. Watching them create the different rolls is really fun to watch. The chefs are very friendly and eager to make their sushi roll the absolute best one you've ever had. You can pick up ready made, you can always bet it's fresh because they sell out so fast. Call ahead and put your order in to have it made fresh ready for you to pick up! If you haven't tried the new Kroger sushi bar, you are really missing out.
