Too darn crowded. Need more Kroger stores than we have. ONE in Heath, ONE in Newark. That's crazy - I'm from Columbus originally. When I go there around holiday times, NEVER any grocery carts. Dead scooters near ALL the time. Other than that, I have NO complaints about shopping in person, but my gripe is about the pickup "service." Food NEVER ready at the time I picked, and once, after waiting like two hours, I was texted and/or called saying my food was ready, only it was 8 pm. When I get there, pickup was CLOSED. Why let me know it's ready when they've already closed? I sat there a LONG time and when no one came, I had to go into the store, and got a very rude manager type person. I told her she WAS going to go back to get my items, and she said "nope, not doing that." I had to go back the next day, and I was out of necessary items. She comped me, but not that much. It should have been free, as my friends said. Here I am, tried it again, again they say it will be ready by 7 or 8. OR 8? Again, if I were to go there, it would be closed. So, I'm not even going to bother. I'll get it in the morning. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I get it, everyone, since at least the Pandemic, has been short staffed, but, don't people want to work anymore? If it's too short staffed, just stop offering it. Problem solved. read more

The cashiers name is Melissa. She complained about the people that visited her store on christmas eve.she said she wanted to quit. The girl complained of the customers, saying that they had bad attitudes because they were there on christmas eve. Obviously she had the problem. Nothing to see here, just a bourbon run. Unfortunately nothing worked out and I left empty handed. While out of town if I have time I will often scout bourbon especially from other states. Kroger has a great reputation for liquor pricing, so why not. I walked straight back to the booze but unfortunately they had nothing of interest. All good and part of the hunt. I was not mad. So in the future if back in this rural area of Ohio I would not object to trying them out again. read more

Poor customer service, and do not charge posted pricing of items. And it's not because I didn't download the digital coupon or miss a sign with specific sale dates. Service counter person first told me I didn't have the digital coupons when I promptly returned the overcharged items. I went back in because I couldn't find digital coupons for my items. Service counter says it isn't her department that sign reflects a sale price, that you can't go by that. What? And if you can't get correction from the service counter, where do you go? Is it to much to expect the price posted, apparently from Kroger? Disappointing! read more

I found what I wanted, on sale, and there were lots of other things I could have gotten if I'd been doing my normal shopping. I just don't know why this Kroger's drops the ball in certain areas. Aisles seem clean and organized however half are empty and never seem to get stocked as I am here week in and week out. I have also had a hard time with the deli. Usually I request my meat thin as possible but not shredded. There are only 2 woman who have accomplished this there for me. Last time the woman said the lowest she could go is a 1 for the pepperoni- which is a lie, I've had it thinner and prefer it thinner when I do cream cheese roles. Well today I ordered turkey thin but not shredded - it's shredded. American cheese has skid marks from someone's cheddar. Clearly in the picture you can see my white American has orange streaks. Slicer WAS NOT CLEANED between orders. Not ok!! Requested American cheese with paper between each slice, got home went to make sandwiches and cheese is 5 slices together wrapped in paper. Ummm this defeats the whole purpose of paper between each slice. Now I have 4 layers of 5 slices of cheese stuck together. For now on I will be checking it and requesting a do over at this point. It shouldn't be this hard. It's happened too many times for me to say it's just a simple mistake. Others don't seem to have a problem doing this for me. Once I get the names of the 2 woman who actually follow what customers request I will credit them. I also want to mention when we went to check out there were ONLY 3 registers open causing congestion in the lanes and hard to navigate through for everyone one. I sincerely doubt if the Kroger business owners even care. This Kroger store in my neighborhood of Newark Ohio, has continuously deteriorated with it's customer service since opening. Slow checkouts and empty shelves are the most aggravating. When standing in line and looking at well over half of the checkout isles shut down it just serves to aggravate my tolerance. Today's visit prompted me to download and make my very first YELP review in my life. Employees at this location seem to hate their job with a passion. "We can't find employees" they say. Well hell no you can't when you suck their life out from the minute they clock in. No managerial support in sight most times. But because we have to eat, they continue to thrive at the expense of their employees and patrons. SMH! read more

The new Kroger Marketplace is quite a popular grocery store since its opening on 11/2/16. The new store is equipped with a Starbucks, Little Clinic, Pharmacy, beer and wine tasting bar and state liquor store. Most exciting is the ClickList grocery service. You can order and purchase your grocery items online or on your mobile device and pick them up at Kroger! For $4.95 you cannot beat the convenience. The new store does not have a specifically gluten free section, but offers an abundant selection of gluten free products throughout the store, you just have to look and find them. I had appointment at 6 pm to get COVID-19 shot from online and arrived 545 as sign says COVID-19 line so I went on line. Service was slow as staffs talked too much. Finally, talk with staff and show them I have appt at 6 and told me go to little clinic. Waiting for staff called as I show the nurse as I have appt at 6 after waiting til 615 and will get with me soon but end up waiting til almost 7 pm as I can see inside the room 2 or 3 people talked as there is lot of people writhing everywhere which unprofessional!! I will never go back there as they are sucks!!! read more

Like the store but customer service is terrible. My grandson got sick and vomited in the isle so I went to tell someone that they needed to get someone with more bucket to clean it up and instead they handed me paper towels and disinfecting spray. The only reason we shop here is because my wife has to get her prescriptions through their pharmacy. The pharmacy is grossly understaffed and the lines are long to get your medicine. Was there today at 1300 and the line inside was 6-7 people deep and outside there were 6 cars in line. The bathroom area stinks and is not very clean. Their poultry selection is very poor. I went in to get skinless, boneless thighs and every time I've goon in they were out or don't stock. Ross market has a much better selection of poultry products. There are other products that they don't have much of a selection. Side note: I happened to shop at Kroger in Heath and they don't even carry dried mushrooms! Will make every effort to get my wife's prescriptions through another pharmacy or mail order. read more

I have a problem with their milk products. The container said expires Oct.1st. It went bad on 9/24 .This is not the first time either. I live alone and can't drink all the milk in just one week. . They need to inspect their milk before they put it in the casings, or get milk fresher from the farmer or something. I don't know what the answer is but they shouldn't go bad so soon. Horrible service inside the store. Its a very modern store but doesn't take apple pay. Kids coughing on produce items. Kids opening items and eating them just to put them back. Power went out. Bathroom floor is flooded and covered with pee and poop. And was made very uncomfortable by the lack of masks in the store. This Kroger Marketplace is huge! There is a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. However, the major downside is that the veggie and fruit sale items are mostly not good quality. I was going to get strawberries because they were on sale and they looked good at first. But, upon further examination, I found mold in multiple containers. Furthermore, the on sale grapes were super soft and the yellow onions had many dark spots. You would expect that with a nice looking establishment, all the fruit and veggies would be in good condition, but think again. So, make sure you examine your fruits and veggies here. When it comes to meats, there are a good number of fresh choices at low prices. Pretty much anything you are looking for in your kitchen, you can find it here. There is a low number of international food choices, so you will need to drive to Columbus for these types of foods and ingredients. There is also a sushi cafe that has a decent amount of options to choose from. The sushi isn't amazing, but it gets by. The Starbucks is also a nice little touch to the grocery store. Overall, this Kroger is clean and organized with a good amount of American food options. The employees are respectful and are willing to help when needed. read more

This should be a nice place but the bakery is rarely fully stocked. Every time I've stopped in, the muffin racks are nearly empty, the bagel baskets are empty and the selection is poor. Poppy seed bagels - none. Sesame bagels- none. Pretzel bagels -- none. There should me much more fresh food and ready to eat food at this place. This is a poor competitor to Whole Foods or even other newer Kroger stores in Illinois and Ohio. read more

I like this Kroger. It's nice and clean. Has almost everything that you could want. The one thing that bothers me is there is no carts that your baby car sears snap into. They used to have them and then they got rid of them. It's very inconvenient for moms like myself. I would love to see them get a few of those carts back read more

I've never been disappointed at the Kroger Market place. The produce is a fine quality and always fresh. Service here is excellent and they offer great variety. Started going here when they opened. Will only go for sale items. I always use the self checkout. No where is there a sign that says express. I see people with loads of groceries go thru. This time the employee told me I had to go to a regular register because I had too much. 95% of my cart was pop. I didn't even have a bag full of items. I was appalled. I don't go through the regular lines because the cashiers throw my items as they scan them like they are going to get a bonus for going so fast all while damaging my groceries. First bad experience at Kroger in 11 years. You had sale on Pepsi 2 for $3.00 June 24 sat only. Great had 10 six packs in my cart, Problem was they rang up 2.50 each. Asked why they said it must be loaded on your digital coupon. No problem, went home loaded on my card and printed a copy. Back to Kroger again same problem 2.50 each. i showed the clerk my printed copy she was very helpful . She called for a manager {Jordan} she said I had to pay what on the register. tried to show her my printed copy of the coupon but refused to look at it. left Kroger pissed, Went next door to Walmart showed them Kroger coupon and said no problem.Paid 1.150 each.
