This used to be a very good pharmacy with a knowledgeable and helpful staff. But in the last two…read moreyears or so things have deteriorated. The location is chronically understaffed and service is abysmal. Pharmacists who previously were happy to share their knowledge, answer questions, or make a call to a medical (or veterinary) provider are now brusque to the point of rudeness. Lines are long; the person working the counter also covers the drive through, and two or three phone lines seem to ring incessantly with no noticeable response. When the time comes for the pharmacy to close for lunch, the window comes down abruptly and people who are waiting in line are out of luck. Corporate officials have clearly made the decision to cut expenses without regard to customer satisfaction or employee wellbeing. (Indeed, employees make no secret of their dissatisfaction with poor working conditions, which only adds to the general dysfunction of the facility.) I've continued to use CVS because the West Main Street location is near my home and also convenient to the local hospital and my physician's office. Also, I'm a bit lazy and I assumed changing would be a hassle. But today I knew it was time to make a change. A drug I've taken for several years (Quinapril) was up for refill and Id tried unsuccessfully for several days to do it online. So, I decided to stop in to check the status. Instead of getting an explanation or advice, I wound up in a loud and sharp conversation with the technician and the pharmacist across a filled lobby. No information or real answers, just confirmation that they didn't have the medication and had no information as to when or if they would ever have it again, along with a throwaway comment that I should try a "non-CVS" pharmacy. That was all I needed. I went to the Walgreens location in nearby Heath, and had an informative conversation with the tech and the pharmacist on duty. I learned why Quinapril is becoming hard to come by and also that there are several reliable and readily available alternatives. After a quick call to my doctor on Monday we'll have everything squared away and I'll be able to pick up my prescription at Walgreens on Monday afternoon.

They have been using a coupon code and not charging my insurance. I asked them to refund me the $150 due. I was hung up on twice And spoke to the most rude women I've ever spoke to in my life. I have now gone above them and contacting their corporate office and making sure that this doesn't happen to other people. When I asked for their names, they stated that they would not give them to me for their safety when I actually just wanted to report how terribly rude they are!

She just put 60 more pills in the bottle and sent me on. Totally convinced she wanted my pills so I did call the pharmacy board and report it. Just beware

This is highly inappropriate and unsanitary people have allergies to dog and pet dander. They always greet you with a smile, call you by name (as you walk in).. They really seem to care about every person that goes there... Just like the old 'small town' drug stores in the movies and tv... Plus, they're cheaper priced than most, and definitely faster (ex: kroger has 15 pharmacists and will take 2 hours to fill a script, where as they will be done in 5 to 10 minutes with 1 or 2 people) I dont ever want to have to go to another pharmacy ever. This place is great! :)

They transferred my stuff to another pharmacy who can't even fill the prescriptions. They chose to send them to a pharmacy in the neighboring town, gave me no options. Now I have spent TWO DAYS trying to get medications sent to another pharmacy. I will literally never use a small local pharmacy again. They've cured me. My prescriptions are too important to spend days trying to get.

Their Rx prices are competitive or can be less, depending on item, than many, like CVS. Seasonal products like Christmas bulk sold chocolates, along with their usual drug store sundries, make this a great place to shop. You'll enjoy the small town feel of the place. And, if you're into old bank safes, they original one from the former town bank is on display.

Today I arrived at 1:33 and was told I'd have to wait a half hour. "We're not on the clock", she told me. I think she was actually annoyed that I interrupted their conversation for her to even tell me that much. I use to see it all the time building data centers for Facebook but sometimes you see it in real life. I've been getting a medication the same day for six years, she wanted to dictate and tell me I can't get it until the following day. I told her that was fine. I don't need it until tomorrow but, I told her I didn't appreciate the controlling authoritarian attitude and dictation of when I get my medicine. My wife is an RN and I been repeating the same routine for 6 years, yet the pharmacist said NO. She then banned me from CVS Rx which is fine by me because of the two pharmacies where the pharmacist lied to a customer to impose their opinions both happen at a CVS. I told her I didn't appreciate it, I know the law and you don't have to lie to me and she lost it because I called her on her lie. So, goodbye CVS, never getting mine or my families business again because either incompetence or ego, maybe both ‍
