Service is beyond terrible..management needs to be fired..this use to be a good store..lines are long..self serve stations are not manned..

Every time I have to order groceries I get charged for stuff did not receive and get awful substitutions (always say NO SUBSTITUTIONS). So multiple trips back when not able to get in store. Only order when cannot walk around. HATE MAUMELLE FOR EVERYTHING! When you try to call they pick up phone and hang it back up. read more

The largest Kroegers in the state of Arkansas and the third largest in the U.S. according to our check-out person, Kroegers is a pleasure to shop with spacious aisles and a good selection of products. I especially liked their produce dept. which had reasonably priced citrus/fruits...they even had jicama!. They have a deli, bakery and even a sushi section. I bought my son and fiance's groceries as a way to thank them for putting me up for a few days and with the things I bought, the ticket only came to $75! We had a line open up for us immediately and Joyce, our check-out girl, was the best. Definitely a good find! read more

I normally find Kroger OK for a normal grocery store- employees are not super helpful, attentive or accommodating, but for the most part I can usually zip through a self checkout and only have to wait 6 minutes before the attendant notices I have a blinker going for an ID check or whatever. With self checkout being full and a couple attended checkout lines open, I opted for a nonexistent line at checkout 13. Once the female employee noticed I was there, she spun around and proceeded to put her left hand fingers in her mouth to lick them clean of something I'm pretty sure came out of her nose. She then kept the left hand behind her back and then wiped her hand on her pants. She then proceeded to try to grab my hand basket from the conveyor and attempt to check me out at which point I retrieved the basket and said "I'm sorry, can you wash your hands?" Met with a bewildered look, I again said "yoi had your hand in your mouth.. nope this is not sanitary." I was beyond disgusted and obviously went on to self checkout. This is vile, unhygienic behavior. I urge Kroger to go over hygiene and sanitation with employees that come face to face with customers and their groceries. read more

I have shopped here for 23 years. Not much else available in Our area. Yesterday I was there and put my groceries on the belt to check out. When the checker was done she looked at the cart which the bagger had packed and loudly proclaimed that she hadn't rung up the sodas in my cart. Then she said it a 2 more times to make sure everyone in the store heard it. I told her I had put them on the belt and she ignored me. Finally she checked the receipt and found the Pepsi but still proclaimed that she had not rung up the coke. I told her again that I had put ALL the sodas on the belt. Finally the bagger awoke from her nap and said that yes ALL the sodas had been on the belt and after finding the coke on the receipt too she said OK. She handed me my receipt-no apology with it and I left feeling like I had been treated like a thief and a lyer. This is what you get for 23 years of loyalty. If you see an older checker with short hair and glasses and acts like she owns the joint at the Maumelle Kroger-avoid at all cost. Better yet just go to Walmart. read more

Could not agree more with Ally! Today was the final straw. On Monday I went online to schedule refills for later in the week. I noticed a script that had no refills and I knew there were two. After looking at a copy of the script I had in my records it was clear the doctor put refills, however, I called the doctor's office just to make sure, and they advised me there was no problem and the script should have two refills. Called the Pharmacy. Got put on hold for a long time and then was told, yeah, sorry, we missed the refills. That was about the 4th mess up in the past few months, but mistakes happen. I was told to give them a few hours to correct and then I could go online and schedule the refills. The next day I went online and still no refills. I called and Kroger said they could not change it online but did in their computer (thanks for the call to let me know). So today I call and verbally request the refill. I'm told no problem and be ready at 5:30. Based on previous experience I make them my last stop and go in at 6:30. Yep, not only is it not ready I can see the workers looking at each other with that "who dropped the ball look" Then, instead of the manager or Pharmacist owning the mistake they make the poor guy that is just running the register tell me. He says "sorry, it will be 15 or 20 min" which I've learned means an hour. But why? It's two simple prescriptions for blood pressure and anxiety I've been on for years. It's so common that they are actually lower than my insurance deductible, so they don't even have to process a claim. Not only will I never use them again. I refused to even even wait for the RX. I went directly to another Pharmacy and had my current refill transferred plus the remaining ones. Complete lack of customer service, accountability, communication and putting the customer first. read more

My name is Gary Johnson. I am a service connected disabled Iraq War Era veteran. On three separate occasions my wife and I have had the same negative experience, at the same Kroger,  with the same cashier, including this morning. The cashier's name is Rochelle, at 110 Commons Drive in Maumelle, AR 72113. I am contacting you directly to implore your assistance in making this a teachable moment for Rochelle and the store leadership. "Do you want to self checkout or get in line," asked my wife, "Not if that racist witch is working," I replied. We walked to self checkout, saw Rochelle and turned around. We looked back and saw her walking away. We then proceeded to self checkout (verify it on the security footage). I ask that you, the district manager (DM), the general manager (GM) and store leadership observe this cashier in action on the security footage on different days that she works. Observe her overt, blatant  racist accusatory actions with customers of color and white customers. I have stood in line on multiple days watched her assist white customers loosely and rummage through customers of color bags', or scroll the entire register receipt on the screen as if something was placed in the bag without being scanned.  Take coupons and go through customer's bags as if they are attempting to use a coupon for something they didn't purchase. It is deliberate, overt and racist. This morning I put her on notice when she did it to us again. I rang up a bell pepper, it did not ask for the quantity, it requested the attendant. When we looked around the attendant had changed back to Rochelle. Apparently she had returned from her break. She came over and scrolled through our entire register receipt, viewed security footage while we were standing there (traumatized and embarrassed) as if we were shoplifting or putting things in our bags that have not been scanned. I immediately asked her to get away from me and asked for the store's GM. I was directed to Sean Maxwell, Store Leader. Sean listened to my grievance and indicated that he did not have any prior knowledge of any complaints regarding Rochelle.   I asked him for the DM's contact information, he did not provide it. I asked him to observe the security footage and her interaction with customers of color and her interaction with white customers.  He claimed that you guys had some new system that required her to do what she did.  Excuses are tools of incompetence. They build monuments of nothingness.  This racist, callous, deliberate maltreatment of customers of color is unacceptable period.  We are beyond livid at our experiences in one of your stores. I find it difficult to continue to shop in your stores.   "The first two times you raised the issue about Rochelle being racist,  I felt that you were overreacting, but today I saw it first hand," my wife's comments as we drove away this morning. Not a very good store. The organic creamer has been out of date for a month. The produce & products are not priced right. Thinking we're getting discount and get home check recipe it's regular price. It gets old... this happens all the time. I love organic creamer but can't buy it at Kroger because it's out of date. read more

This place has it's problems with keeping popular items on the shelves, not sure if it is a policy to only order so much, or bad management. Customer service is usually really good other than the afore mentioned. Prices are affordable. The Click List option is excellent, other than a few snags when it first started, they have shown the program to be a useful one. read more

The friendly employees make the aesthetics of the store tolerable. Generally has the best looking produce and the seafood/butcher in the back always top notch. With that said, Maumelle has grown exponentially and the stores glory days are over. Kroger corporate should take notice of the needs of Maumelle by expanding and improving the quality of the store overall. read more

Oh my gosh their pickup is so bad. In a time when we are supposed to be doing our best to not be in the store they make it so hard. I waited in the parking spot for 30 minutes. I reserved my groceries from 4-5pm. I arrived at 4pm, it's currently 4:40 and still have nothing. This is ridiculous they are so bad, wal-mart pickup is so much better, wasting my time. The only reason I keep going to Kroger in Maumelle, AR is that's where I get my prescriptions and I an thinking about having them sent to a different store. The store keeps rearranging making it difficult to find items. They are also replacing name brand items with their own brand. They are also discontinuing a lot of items. I go for two reasons, prescriptions and certain name brand items that I use. I like to go, get what I need and leave. Now. most of the time in the store is spent trying to find where they moved things. As soon as I get my meds transferred to a different location, I will no longer shop at that Kroger store. Harps is a little further away but at least they still carry the items I use. read more

Just got off the phone with Kathy in the Deli department. She was so helpful. I needed a last minute box of chicken (25 pieces). Called at 1:30 for pick up at 4:30. She said, no problem. She would have it ready. Called Walmart first, was told they needed a 24 hr notice!! Thank heaven for Kroger and friendly and very helpful Kathy. read more
