It's Trader Joe's, what's NOT to love about it?! I escaped California about a year and a half ago and there's very little that I mess about that poop hole, but Trader Joe's is one of them. I was tickled to death to find a location in Little Rock even though I have to drive about an hour from Diamondhead to get there. The store is well organized, the staff is friendly and efficient, and I can get my solid faves like they're frozen pizza dough, individual serving meals for those nights. I don't feel like cooking, and they come at a fantastic price. Cheaper than I can make them that's for sure. The wine selection is outstanding and you can't hardly beat their cheese department. About the only negative I can say is that I have asked their employees several times to please pass on the absolute need for a Trader Joe's in Hot Springs. Every single time they shoot me down and say that "there will never be a Trader Joe's in Hot Springs." Why is that? Arkansas is the number one state for people to be moving to and believe me, there are a whole lot of conservatives that are moving here like myself that still enjoy a little bit of that hippie vibe. My boss and I decided to stop at Trader Joe's to get some snacks and goodies for the week while staying in Little Rock AR for work. I love Trader Joe's for their organic selection of products and nice produce, so I was very happy to shop here for the week. The ambiance is always very nice and attractive looking, and you can easily find products in the store, depending on what you are looking for and what appeals to your interest. The service is wonderful and on point as always from the staff. They are always willing to help you out if you need assistance. Trader Joe's is an excellent grocery store with wonderful, high quality organic products and produce, and will always be my choice for organic foods whenever I need to go grocery shopping. I love TJs, and always find unique food items to try. The store is clean, staff always ready to help and so very friendly. One thing I pick up every time I stop in is their Hydrangeas available in their extensive floral section. They have always been long lasting and gorgeous! The only reason I dropped this review to four stars is there may be a change in the quality of the blooms. The bunch I bought two days ago is already drooping and blossoms falling off. Just to be clear, I place them in a clean vase, cut the stems for fresh water absorption and change it every other day. I am hoping that this was a fluke that has happened twice, a couple of weeks between purchases. I'm not giving up....I'm hoping that TJs reads their reviews and might check on this. This Trader Joe's is located right across the street of our hotel, the Embassy Suites in Little Rock, AR. This TJ is well kept, clean, and organized. It's not crazy busy here. The shopping pace is enjoyable and employees are smiling as they work and stock items. That's a positive sign! The usual TJ offerings here, plus all the cool and delicious seasonal items. I found the viral mini shopping bags (see pictures) and picked up a few. No mini canvas or mini cooler bags here. Since our hotel room has a microwave and mini fridge, we picked up the pork and ginger soup dumplings to try. It will be nice to have something hot to eat in our room to help battle the cold weather here in AR. Samples of Linda Rose apples were offered in the front section of the store. That was a nice experience, then the usual back of the store samples I've experienced at other TJ. Gorgeous aromatic peonies and flowers lined the entrance to the store. The wonderful floral scents draw you into the store! The lines were not long here. Service was fast, friendly and pleasant. Service: 5/5 stars Food: 5/5 stars. So while we were in Little Rock we hit this Trader Joe's up. This is a huge store with more goodies to choose from. First I had to return some chips I didn't care for,the lady said to pick out another bag of chips. After getting another bag of ghost pepper chips and checking out the gave me the bag of chips for free. Like I said this store is huge and beautifully laid out. Of course the workers here are all so friendly and helpful. This store had a bigger selection of wines and beers. If your close to this store I highly recommend stopping here. While the store is relatively nice, we had a situation that we did not discover until we got home and looked at the bill. We purchased two plants and when we looked at the bill, they charged us for four. We live 40 miles away so a return was not feasible. Look at your bill before you leave the check out. I know they are busy but still they made a mistake. Service would have to be poor. read more

So I was looking for some type of food to take back to hawaii from Arkansas, but with all the good tasting food around.... could not find something that anyone could say you gotta take that back home to share. This Trader Joe's location is wonderful! My parents moved to Pine Bluff and I'm here for a few weeks helping them move. I really missed Trader Joe's and their assortment of allergen friendly foods, so I made the trek to Little Rock to stock up. It's a relatively large store that is clean and well stocked. All of the employees were really friendly and were willing to help us find items off our list. They were even able to check on items not in stock to let us know when they will be getting a new shipment. Johnny was my cashier and he was great! He was really friendly and made me feel welcome in the store. He was also super efficient and got me in and out really quickly. I appreciate that kind of customer service! read more

Parking is literally a nightmare and being inside will trigger anyone that's claustrophobic but it's always very clean and staff is helpful. Lots of selection considering the size of the store. Be sure to come when it's slower! read more

Trader Joe's - Funny! - Grocery Near Me - Little Rock, Arkansas

Wow! This place is busy. While the location just recently opened and the isles are like traffic jams, the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. I was able to gather everything I needed for our work potluck. I picked up the retried beans (organic retried beans), covered them in some shredded cheese and it was a hit! These retried beans are full of flavor and so good! The associate who checked us out, I believe his name was Michael, was incredibly friendly and nice! I will definitely visit here again! read more

I'm just happy a TJ's has made it's way to Little Rock! This is a small location and due to new COVID-19 restrictions shopping can be a longer than usual experience. The good news is the staff here is amazing! You can always find someone willing to help and provide friendly service. I usually make my way out here specifically for meat and the amazing assortment of frozen goods. If you can think of it.....Trader Joe's just might have it available. Mexican, Italian, Asian, Indian, and American favorites are readily available. Snacks, pastries, full meals...oh my! It's the perfect one stop shop for my lifestyle. I need quick and delicious meals. My schedule can be hectic and unexpected but this place make sure I stay stocked. Wine too! My favorites? 3 layer hummas, jerk check thigh skewers (frozen), General Tso's chicken (frozen), croissants (frozen), succotash blend (frozen), mushroom medley (frozen), mushrooms...country potatoes...and green bean blend (frozen), pesto past and clam pasta (frozen). This location stands out from all other grocery stores in Little Rock because of their amazing helpful and friendly customer service, prices, selection and fresh produce. Staff dont wear masks anymore!!!! What the hell?!? Most cashiers STILL wear nasty-smelling cologne, too: I have no idea why this is so prevalent in this store, but it's gross. You get home and the smell is still all over your bags. Blech. read more

I love visiting Trader Joe's it's one of my favorite locations to shop, especially when I'm in larger cities. This is everything I would have expected. The aisles are spaced well and organized as expected. With Covid they are limiting capacity but it wasn't overly busy on a Monday afternoon. I appreciated the sanitization standards and required masks. I also enjoyed the selection local of beer, wine, and ciders. All in all it was a great visit and we will be coming back during my stay in LR. read more

It's a small store. Definitely not as big on the inside as it looks from the outside. There are only like 6 aisles. I do wish they had a larger organic supplements section. I had better luck finding what I was looking for at Natural Grocers. It isn't a bad place to shop for fresh foods and veggies if you live nearby, though! I have always wanted to shop at Trader Joe's but have never been near one. Since I'm in LR for work, I was thrilled to have the opportunity. And I was right to be thrilled. I could have spent hours looking at all if the options in here. Specialty foods for specific diets abound, like keto or vegetarian. Prices are great. And staff was incredibly friendly. I will definitely be visiting while I'm here and will probably take some groceries back home with me, too. read more

Very underwhelmed. Just another Kroger for the well off. Prices were/are about 50% higher than you can find at your local Kroger, or Walmart. Nothing really spectacular. Wine section is alright, but Kroger Indian Hills has a better selection. No fresh meat that I could find, other than prepackaged. There were some unique offerings, but not enough for me and my family to drive here from Jacksonville. read more

Despite the crowds, still an excellent option. The crowds will eventually die down in a month or so, but let us still be thankful we aren't trying to shop in a NY TJs where the lines are always insane all the time. Trader Joe's is my favorite place to shop! So glad we have one in Little Rock!! What we love the most: FRESH: Almond meal/carrot muffins (refrigerate or freeze to prevent spoilage); Cranberry orange scones. REFRIGERATED: Shaved Brussels sprouts, chicken chili tamales; shredded cheese; "Protein Patties" (comparable to Beyond Meat and Impossible Meat with pea protein, gluten and soy free); coconut creamer; cacao peppermint creamer; cashew cheese dip (better flavor than Pancho's and dairy free). FROZEN: Sweet potato gnocchi in sage butter sauce (divinely decadent taste that's so easy to make and pairs with anything); creamy polenta; plain naan; new kale gnocchi (far tastier than the famous cauliflower gnocchi). SHELF-STABLE: Carolina Gold BBQ sauce (reminds me of a thicker version of Sim's BBQ sauce; delicious on burgers); Chianti wine with the woven basket bottom (pairs so well with all Italian food); Olive oil popcorn; chocolate chip dipper cookies. HOUSEHOLD: Please get some more reasonably priced, non-petroleum surfactant laundry detergent soon!! (Extremely disappointed that TJ's discontinued their liquid non-petroleum surfactant laundry detergent that was comparable to Seventh Generation. Before this discontinuation, they stopped carrying the non-petroleum surfactant dry pods. Both of these were excellent for sensitive skin and very reasonably priced.) TIPS AND POINTERS: For those of you who said, "Eeewww, yuck" to some of my favorites, here's something extra for you to ponder: Kale gnocchi: This pairs with ANY kind of sauce to get green vegetables and plant protein (via chickpea flour) added so easily. I have used it with pesto, marinara, Bolognese, chili, and salsa. We have made the frozen Cuban Chicken Bowl into a nice dinner for two with this gnocchi. Shaved Brussels Sprouts: These cook so quickly with a nice char in a pan with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Usual add-ins are Worcestershire sauce, tamari or soy sauce, lemon pepper, garlic. They are great with other Asian spices too and over rice. Protein Patties (vegan): Make "smashburgers" by dividing each patty into two patties. This makes a crispier burger without the mushy middle. Sprinkle on top or just mix in dry mustard, garlic, lemon pepper, and either Worcestershire sauce or a little pink salt. (Please note that regular Worcestershire sauce contains a small amount of anchovy/fish so avoid this if you are vegan.) read more

The displayed alcohol prices are different from what rings up on the counter. When I asked the store manager about this. He took the product away and gave me a refund instead of honoring what was displayed on the shelf. And the manager was very rude when I asked him if he could just honor the displayed price on the shelf. Guess I had high expectations because of all the word of mouth when this store opened. Trader Joe's will be here soon at which time many of us will say goodbye permanently to Kroger and the Food Giant, which are no match for this wonderful European chain known for it's friendly, competent, helpful employees, wide aisles, low prices, clean shelves and most importantly, pure/chemical free food. Oh and let me add--you don't have to worry about the checkers making mistakes, since the prices listed on the shelves are actually connected to the prices in the state-of-the-art cash registers. And one other thing: Trader Joe's discourages the use of single-use plastic bags and welcomes customers bringing in their own cloth bags, a whole new concept for some people. I predict Trader Joe's will be mobbed at first--their new stores always are--but I plan to buy all my groceries there. read more

TJ's has always been a great experience for me when shopping in them in Texas. So much so, I would write them repeatedly begging them to open a store in AR. MUCH TO MY DISAPPOINTMENT, however, our store is no where near the size of stores I have shopped in Texas! WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? There was a WIDE OPEN market in central Arkansas, so why not take the opportunity to go big? The place is always crowded, as is the parking lot, and with COVID restrictions, there are times I have waited in the cold and rain for a substantial amount of time. Even with the tents they have provided, the experience is not pleasant (although I am certain the employees are trying their best)! Conversely, I can walk right into Whole Foods just down the street. I think it has been demonstrated that TJ's is a huge success in AR, so I hope the facility will move to a larger space soon! read more
