I walked into Kroger at 1919 FaithonnO Lucas on Sunday March 10, 2024..The service desk had the sign that it is closed-- but it was only 7:30 something...I walked over to my left to self check out . Craig said he was closing that side. When I told him I simply needed to get two items and little cash over, he said " Service desk is open...Okay so I went BACK to service desk..Mistake... The customer service Rep Brenda was horrid--in the way of grumbling, complaining , looked at me like "what do you want?", we had an entire conversation with our " eyes".. Her, " what do you want?", My eyes said"it will be ok"... She continued complaining so I began saying ," it'll be alright ".."Are you off soon?"..Grumpy scowled, " 8:30"...I thought she wanted me to follow her to register 3 --I couldn't understand her from the mumbling and complaining about Kroger happening(s?) --she was going through..She looked at me and said "this one is closed"..NO congenitally, niceness or respect.. So I went BACK to the service desk with her..I said," I'd like to buy the two candy bars and get little cash back"..Brenda said," I DON'T know how to do that"..Hmm, she's at the service desk... I said," ok, here's my check to cash and I'll put the two candy bars on this card"... This encounter Just kept spiraling down...After she stamped the back of the check..She said with a flare of " nasty" almost " bark" .." You need to sign this"..I said ," NO, I don't. I made it out to KROGER". "NOT CASH"..It's made out to Kroger, you only need to stamp it.. She's arguing with me now..While i was talking , she interrupted me calling for manager after she grabbed speaker ....I told her I have to get my son to work!! Craig walks over..I hear her mumble loudly --doesn't she have to sign this check? Craig crinkles his brow and said "NO"..Then she said things to me like," if it goes through", " if it's good"...Now she gets personal and attacks me? I became angry because of her incompetence and racist prejudicial assumptions..I said you are a horrible custimer service person.. She said,"Thank you for that"... I've even decided not to give Kroger my money..This 1919 Faithon P Lucas in Mesquite has continued to go down ... Terrible customer service, infamous stinky restrooms, filthy floors, confusing set up, angry, void of smile, looking at their phones,unprofessional , eating and smacking on food while , ringing up customers, arguing with mgr or each other while customers are right in front of them--EMPLOYEES ( most not all)..Who is in charge of hiring? Does Kroger need to pay more to get cream of crop -- instead of the dust bunnies who care nothing about customers? Yelp needs to provide a way to give 1/2 of a point..I've been coming here for 28 years--When we moved here ..First nothing was there, Winn Dixie was there then this Kroger.. read more

I came in to grab a few things and went to the area for water and saw the Niagara water displayed but it was not signed so how will the customer know the price ? With stores now having limited staff make it convenient for the customer . I asked a colleague if she could tell me the price of the water she told me that she was already helping a customer ,I asked if she could please send someone back to help me she said she would ,didn't happen . I walked to the front of the store and noticed she was bagging up merchandise and had forgot about helping me or getting anyone to help me ,I decided then that since I'm not important to you you don't need me to spend my money here and I left my cart with all my items ....Poor customer service won't work for me . read more

I have been shopping at kroger 17 yrs. Recently added to the checkout is of you need any cash back you are being charged as if you didn't just spend money with them it started at 50 cents now its 75 cents it's so sad everywhere we shop they are asking for more money. So now I shop at winco foid cheaper and they don't charge for cash back so sad. read more

Went in here today and I really like this Kroger. The manager, I think he's pretty new there, was very helpful. He held on to an item for me because I had forgot my wallet and it was the last item of its kind. I think the staff is friendly and there is a woman who always gives my son a sticker when we shop there. I really like the staff at this Kroger. I highly recommend this location! read more

They never have anything in stock but when they do it's expired. Bought a Naked Protein Smoothie and it tasted funny and powdery then I look at the expiration date and it's 3 days over it's date .... read more

I love Kroger and will continue to shop there because I know it like the back of my hand Accept his sincere apology and let's move on. Hug those boys and tell them they are loved and keep their heads up and let us all do exactly what Jesus would do . I am pretty sure he is soft spoken . Try it. I just watch the video of the assistant manager mark calling the police on a group of black teenagers AFTER they purchased their items. Racial profiling them and covering his face the whole time they were being refunded for the snack they purchased!!! Kroger if this is your value as a company I will NEVER shop at any of your stores! These boys and their family need a sincere public apology AND getting a delivery of a shit ton of snacks to enjoy while they are staying out of trouble and playing their video games!!! I am sickened by the actions of your employees!!! read more

The assistant manager MARK decided he would call the police on three teenage black males AFTER they were On the process of leaving a store with PURCHASED items because he said they looked like the could be shoplifting. He was wrong and the boys returned ALL of there PURCHASED items because of the discrimination . Instead of the manger MARK issuing and apology he has the police give them trespassing citations. This store does NOT need to be supported if this is how they treat their CUSTOMERS! read more

Don't shop somewhere that calls the cops on customers who do nothing wrong! One manager of this store called the police on some college students after they had paid for some snacks. The manager insisted the cops come and remove them from the store, even though they hadn't stollen anything. They had paid for their snacks which were refunded because this manager insisted they were doing something wrong. This manager decided the college kids were "the shoplifting type," despite the fact that they were patronizing his business and had receipts for everything in their possession. He decided to accuse them of theft, though, and instead of admitting his mistake when it turned out they had receipts for everything, he even became aggressive and rude to his (ex) customers. Kroger has "removed [the manager] from the store," so he may still be working with the store, just remotely. There has been no transparent apology for this profiling, and the kids were issued trespassing warnings. read more

The assistant manager Mark called the police and had trespassing tickets given to four African American teenagers after they paid for their items. The excuse he gave the mother was "they look like they steal." Then the manager comes in, doesn't review the tape claims she was unaware as to why they received the tickets. The store refunded the kids their money for all the items they bought. This is sad. I live walking distance from this store but until they do something about him I will go out my way to shop somewhere else because this is horrible. He (AM) didn't even want to come out to sign the tickets. The assistant manager (Mark) was previously at the Rockwall Kroger location and moved for these same actions. Terrible place. I have shopped here for years. The employee's don't seem to have it all together, not knowing where their own products are and such. The floor always looks gross, trash here and there. the bathrooms are even worse. Seems that the store manage likes to be on her phone alot. Sometimes I will come in at night, around 7 or so and there are no basket carts inside. I cannot always find the groceries I need half of the time because they are not out on the shelves. Milk section always seems to be low and I have to go all the way across the store just to find an employee who might help me find what I am looking for. Some of the cashiers are nice but other don't really like to talk. Also noticed that the real pain is waiting in line for a while, not fun. read more

Warning !!!! Watch the dates of what you buy in this store, they intentionally stock old merchandise at this location!!! This is the .3rd time I have purchased food that was out of date. On Friday October 25 I purchased two large jars of jif peanut butter for baking. I opened one and noted it did not smell right. After checking the date I noted it expired on 8/2018. On occasion while at the store I have pulled old merchandise off the selves and provided it to employees. Later I saw them restocking shelves with the expired items!! Kroger does not care about the customers in our neighborhood, only those of their superstores !!! read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I come in this store to do most of my shopping as it is 2 mins from my house. The last time I was in there I was overcharged for some produce I purchased due to the cashier entering the wrong code. I called the store and informed them of this incident but I made it very clear that I didn't want my money back I was just looking out for the store. The woman who answered the phone was beyond rude. When I asked for her name I was told it was none of my business and that I could take my problems elsewhere. I'm not sure of her name but I do know she is a customer service rep and she is a black lady with short blonde hair. I called corporate but of course nothing was done and she still has her job. As someone who works in the customer service industry I know for a fact this is not how you treat customers. She needs to be fired!!! read more
