We love this Kroger's location we literally come every other day! It's always well stocked and the savings/deals are consistent. The team members are always very friendly and happy to assist. Their bakery is 10x better than Walmart so we don't mind spending slightly more on baked goods. The store is organized and easy to navigate, making each and every shopping experience a literal piece of cake! (Buy a large container of croissants your whole family will thank you) I was personally impressed with their International foods section, I was missing mochi from back home. Plus in the same plaza are other small eateries so if you need fresh meals as well as fresh produce it's the best of both worlds! read more

Not sure why all the poor reviews but I find this Kroger has everything we need and more. They have great sales, produce is fresh and they have ample meat and fish selections. The only area I feel they lack in a little is the deli counter. read more

I applied to work at this store at this specific location and a lady by the name Carissa DeLauro didn't want to hire me because I said I wasn't working a job during school because I had a full load and worked on assignments during school. She wasn't very nice and looked for reasons not to hire me. This store did me very wrong and I will not be shopping here ever again. read more

There were NO check out stalls open. I had to yell for help. I wasn't the only one who yelled for help. The self service area was packed. The checker who waited on me was rude. She even laughed at me. And I hadn't said anything funny. She made my experience there very uncomfortable. The bagging person was very nice. This busy store should have all check out lanes working. Today is Monday3/13/23. It says the checkout person was PAT. I don't know if that is the right person, because she was working behind the service desk and had to jump on the check out number 6. In general, if it's not a featured "sale" item you'll get a better price elsewhere. This location doesn't offer pickup but that's just fine since Kroger pays do poorly the order pickers seem to do a really crappy job (or maybe they're trained to pick the worst produce, items near or at the end of their shelf life?) read more

We shop Kroger at home all the time. This is a small store. It is even smaller when the aisles are blocked by employees stocking shelves and leaving cases in the aisle. This is probably a very busy store given it is at the beach. The shelves were beaten up pretty good. They could probably benefit from stocking overnight as to avoid the store being cluttered with things on the floor. The shelves would be better stocked also. Not the best representation of the Kroger we know and shop. read more

July 4, 2020 This store is NOT following mask protocol. The have signs saying "Masks encouraged" however the city of Myrtle Beach mandated the wearing of masks in all retail stores, restaurants etc. I saw management allowing families to enter without masks. DO NOT SHOP HERE UNTIL MANAGEMENT FOLLOWS THE CITY RULES WHICH WERE ENACTED TO PROTECT IT CITIZENS. read more

So here's my issue. I love Kroger. Great store. Great products. Today? Not so much. I bought some of the Kroger brand "simple truth electrolyte solution" to work on a more concentrated level of hydration. I bought 2 flavors and my complaints about the first are limited. The second, however; not so much. Lemon Berry flavored electrolyte drink tastes like a Long Island iced tea of destruction. After a night of drinking it is the last thing you would ever want to drink. Now I know this is not this specific Kroger stores fault for carrying this item however it should be illegal. read more

Worst shopping center around. Poorly stocked and dirty. We had to drive out to Lowes foods in Carolina forest to finish our shopping. Lesson learned, stay away from Kroger and drive the extra distance for quality. read more

We were traveling on vacation and stopped in to stock up. It's older and a little dark but we'll stocked. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our cashier was extremely helpful even though they were just closing for the night. Our bagger George had some special needs and was efficient and friendly! I love that they hired him!!! Yeah!!! This Kroger is a little small, but it fulfilled my purpose. I needed a little something for breakfast the next morning, and I was able to find yogurt. It would have been nice to find single bakery items, especially in an area where hotels are common. There were only two checkouts open, and both were a little backed up. Shelves seemed to be stocked well, but I did note some outdated items in the dairy case. read more

The deli department is a joke. There's always a line 5-6 deep and one poor employee trying to help while the managers of the department walk around and never help. Every single time we're here the managers never help and their employees are hustling. What happened to customers first? Never fails, we wait in line and watch the people like Nicole not help her people And pay more attention to the stocking of her department out in the middle of the store instead of the 5-6 people waiting in line for 15-30 minutes. read more

We live in MD and boy do I wish we had Krogers in our state. We visited our first while in Tennessee visiting our son and were thrilled to find them in Myrtle Beach. Awesome prices, lots of specialty items, bright, clean store and helpful staff. The older lady (she had a thick accent) who worked in the deli was an absolute delight. We stopped in to get American Cheese for our golden retriever and struck up a conversation with her about how much we all love our pets. Love that a visit to the deli department can make you feel like you are catching up with an old friend. We're planning a trip back next year and will make a point to stop in to see her again. read more

This store does not deserve one star but I wanted to make sure everyone knew what a horrible experience I had there. I purchased over 55$ worth of items and put them in my car. Then I was using the outdoor water refill staton but it was cheating me because I didn't have exact change. So I went back into the store customer service desk to get change. After standing for a few minutes, I noticed a cup of change, primarily pennies, on the counter (honestly I thought it was one of those need a penny, leave a penny jars) so I put my quarter in and took 2 dimes and a nickel. I thought I was saving someone from having to come help me. All of a sudden a woman (not dressed the same as the cashiers - probably a mid-level manager or supervisor) came up and started yelling at me. Everyone at the checkout stations were staring at me, but she kept going on and on, even after I explained to her what I was doing. So I proceeded to put the change back in and take my quarter out. Then she started screaming again even louder. Another lady came up and they proceeded to chase me out of the store. I was going to get my empty water jug out of the water machine and the lady was screaming at me "what the.....are you doing? We told you to leave." I told her what I was doing and she's kept screaming at me, I'm not sure what she was saying but it had other customers asking what was going on! Came in here the other day and was greeted by the high stench of dead fish...yes they have a fish reefer right at the front door and it stinks to high heaven. I suggest you pine sol it or get someone who knows how to clean in your store.This same reefer has probably been used for fish for 40 years and they are all accustomed to the smell of it. read more

Decent grocery store. Has most everything you'll need. We stop here while we're at the beach. Large assortment of items and I don't think there's anything we needed that they didn't have. Staff were friendly and helpful. Place is very crowded though, with aisles placed closely together. Not the cleanest Kroger I've visited, but not too bad. read more

This Kroger was close the place where we stayed at the beach. This place was awesome they had everything we needed and then some. It was also nice that the young lady at the cash register used a Kroger card for us since we were out of town and didn't want to sign up because there are no krogers back in Maryland. We just moved to Myrtle Beach and are still trying to find 'Our Favorite Grocery Store' This is an older Kroger, crowded isles, dingy. They have a good selection of stock and most employees seem to be nice and helpful although a few do not have a good handle on the English language yet. When we ordered at the deli it was an experience getting our gal to understand what we wanted but, she was helped by another employee :-) It was not busy so we all had a laugh. I don't think this will be our 'big shopping' grocery store but it is great for something we forgot. read more

We love this store. We have shopped here for 16 years. If they don't have it, it's usually not in season or there's a shortage. GREAT organic section. The employees are great. I've left my wallet in a cart, in the parking lot, and an employee made sure of it's safe return. I cannot speak enough love of this place! I've had 2 kids, and we had many Girl Scout cookie booths here!! read more
