The good the people are friendly. The bad is the deli department state orders aren't arriving in even though you have a email receipt and are not ready on time. They could stand to offer more organic food and their prices are up there, a little more help in the store would definitely be a good thing especially when it's busy season. Especially in the deli. Though we primarily frequently the Publix further south on King's Hwy; this location was convenient, in conjunction with a stop at T J Maxx. The store is clean and well-maintained; with the standard selection of items expects at this type of establishment. The staff we encountered were friendly and accommodating. The bakery of this store is just bad. I purchased a bunch of nice pastries for a party so I thought. They were terrible, three boxes were the little pastries that look like rugelach. They were filled with cherry and apple and they were completely stale and virtually in edible. I also purchased some pumpkin scones, which were hard as a rock, and one could barely bite into them. I spent quite a lot of money on these items and they were horrible. I think management needs to take a look at what they are selling there. I will not be purchasing baked goods from that bakery again. read more

Good clean store with inflated prices, much higher than WalMart, Kroger and Food Lion. The kicker is Fresh Seafood that was packed for shipping last year. We asked an employee about the pack date on some Salmon and when she checked the pack date was July 23, 2023. She claimed it was fresh because they took it out of the freezer that morning. Two weeks ago we asked about some "never frozen" labeled Salmon and were told the ship date was 3 weeks prior. To me, 3 weeks, never frozen is not "fresh". I will no longer consider any seafood from Publix. read more

They play bait and switch on their specials. The mobile app and sign at the meat counter said "buy one get one free" for spareribs. But at the Register they said it applied only to frozen ribs. See picture. Then they had bacon on sale. It was outdated on June 26, but today is July 1. Selling outdated stuff. Their special steaks were outdated today. I don't mind their higher prices but they need to have good stuff - not outdated food or games. I told the manager - he did nothing. No rain check for the bacon. Useless. read more

First of all, if I could give a negative I would. I go in there. I ask for the bag of mushrooms they never go out of their way and always tell me they cannot do it. For some reason they stock the shelves in the evening time usually so I don't understand how they're always out of everything. They don't keep up with the new snacks out and today, I order online three sandwiches I get there. Nobody's even looked at my order. I'll let them know I'm there to pick it up. They tell me to go shopping again I go shopping for 45 minutes only for somebody to tell me that they're out of chicken tenders and they're not making anymore. This Publix is horrible. Publix usually goes above and beyond not this one drive down the street if you're going to be paying the price is this high at least you should get the service. read more

Publix was once great. Shopped with them for many years in Florida. Live in SC at present. They always cost more than other markets. Clean stores. But, even months after Covid their prices are so high that they border on the ridiculous. Most importantly, they seem unable to keep items in stock. Very frustrating shopping experience. He handled it quickly and made me not only comfortable, but wanting to shop at Publix from now on. In truth, I shop at Publix on the south end, but honestly I am wanting to move to North Myrtle Beach. Now I can't wait to move here and get treated with the customer service that he provided today on a daily basis. This Publix Pharmacy is the worst I've encountered. The Grande Dunes location is so much better with much friendlier staff. If you are near Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for doctors appointment, you will be glad you went to that location instead of Coastal North Town Center in North Myrtle Beach. The pharmacy's customer service is horrible and they are slow. When a person isn't feeling well, they definitely don't feel like waiting 2 hours for a prescription, especially when you know the doctor's office 30 minutes away called it in before you left. The grocery store itself is AWESOME, but the pharmacy is not interested in serving others. The staff seems so stressed all the time, they don't speak first; then, they act like you are annoying them when you request their attention. Very rude pharmacy staff. So much so I've decided to move my prescriptions to another pharmacy where the staff might appreciate my business, smile & speak. read more

Publix, how I love thee! You make even vacation grocery shopping a pleasure- I actually look forward to shopping here! Why? Because it is awesome!!! The bakery section is amazing- it's hard not to blow your budget in there alone- so many temptations! Also they have a large hot and cold food bar for a quick meal to go. I think their produce section is impressive and they have a big selection of cold pressed, green and fermented juices- great for keeping you healthy as you are on your vacation diet of Myrtle Beach bar food :). Overall they have a great selection of groceries- lots of snack food options, including plenty that are gluten free. They also have an extensive beer and wine selection as well. I find the prices to be great- especially In a vacation town. The customer service is just awesome- I had a very nice man help me jam my groceries into our suitcase packed car as we came into town. I have been to the pharmacy twice for pickup. Both times staff were located at the end of the counter where you drop off prescriptions. They appear to be entering items or doing research on the computer located at that end while I waited patiently for service. Perhaps a desk bell could be placed at the pick up location as found in some hotels. I prefer not to yell " can anyone help me " read more

Apparently I'm the only person who isn't completely impressed. I found the selection to be that of any normal grocery store (in New Jersey anyway). It reminded me of a stop and shop. I've heard great things about the bakery and the selection, but the bread I purchased was mediocre at best. The service was decent and the employees were friendly, but other than that there isn't much to brag about. I was also quite confused when I turned around and an employee was halfway to the parking lot with my cart. I have to say that was pretty amusing. Oh and for any vacationing New Jerseyans, they have boxes of Taylor ham. read more

WOW am I impressed. Not only do they empty your cart onto the belt, they bag your food and then they go out to your car to help you put it in the car. And that was when it was both my husband and I. We have been to this publix three times and we are very happy with their meat, their variety and not shocked by prices. Publix is honestly my favorite grocery store. As a Florida Native, Publix is very nostalgic to me and I've been eating pub subs my entire life. The service here however was terrible. It took 25 minutes for me to get a pub sub when there were only 3 other people in line. None of the meat or cheese was sliced yet which is ridiculous and something Publix usually has ready for long sub lines. The service was very very slow and we were extremely late getting on the road as a result. In general, Publix is my favorite place to get a sub but I would absolutely never recommend this store unless you want to wait a half an hour in a short line. read more

Do not use Publix delivery service. It is scam and Publix does not represent the company that delivers. Instacart is the 3rd party contracted to deliver their groceries. After multiple delays and a lot of patience I called Publix and they can't help you. Simply put it's not their problem even though the app is Publix and the updates are from Publix. Next step, called Instacart # provided by Publix. Instacart can't help you either. The order was placed on 4/1. On 4/3 Instacart said maybe we can have your groceries delivered on 4/5. Maybe... not their problem either. They don't have employees and they are 1099 so we can't make them work. Ok... so Publix app posts updates saying groceries are coming at a specific time. They have no idea. Their website says that groceries are coming and the store is actually closed. Never ever again. Lessoned learned. Just trying to save the next family with 12 hungry kids that your groceries may arrive when your vacation is over. Publix - I suggest you think twice about who your partner with in the future. This is the best grocery store I have ever been in and I used to be an assistant manager in a price chopper in NH. It was clean and fresh and organized . Everyone was super friendly ! It felt nice to have the cashier and bagged actually talk to me instead of ignoring me and talking to each other . If I lived here this would be my grocery store of choice .
