This is a larger Kroger Supermarket located in the Memphis suburb of Southaven, Mississippi. This particular Kroger is next to the hotel that I usually stay at, what is a convenient stop for me to stock up for my water and whatever else I might need in that hotel for that evening. It is a larger Kroger supermarkets and I feel this is a good thing. They have a lot more than other Kroger supermarkets might carry. I also found that I did a bit of Christmas shopping around that holiday when I was up here, buying wine at a significantly better price that I might have got home in Orlando, Florida. The staff is friendly and I have never had a long line to have to endure. All in all, I would definitely recommend this Kroger supermarket. read more

Visited this Kroger location recently and while the store itself was fairly clean and the cashiers were pleasant this visit, there appears to be a serious maintenance issue throughout the building. Multiple areas across the store had active water leaks with buckets placed down the aisles attempting to catch dripping water from the ceiling. Some areas had caution cones, but others did not. One puddle without proper warning signage nearly caused a slip and fall. Water was spread across walking paths in several different departments, not just one isolated area. As a customer, it felt unsafe navigating the store while trying to avoid puddles, buckets, and leaking areas. The condition of the roofing and leak management needs immediate attention before someone gets seriously injured. Cleanliness and friendly staff matter, but customer safety has to come first. Hopefully Kroger addresses the roofing problems quickly and improves hazard protection throughout the store. read more

This sucks. After standing in line for 10 minutes the cashier turns off the light at 6:58 pm on lane 13 and mouths to me "this is my last customer". There are 4 people behind us in line and only one lane open with a real cashier, 4 self serve kiosks that only hold 4 bags of groceries and one full sized self serve line. The tv monitor shows 5 cashiers now and 2 in thirty minutes. It is obviously in a different time zone. I have $170 worth of groceries in my basket. The cashier at the line I'm in is a young kid that obviously gets off at 7. The other cashier is taking care of her customers with no fear and is ignoring the Kroger employee monitoring the self serve lines who is now in a very loud arguing match with a customer telling her there's alot of people walking out. The employee then said "what am I supposed to do, I can't open a line if I don't have any cashiers to run it. If you need to leave just go to Walmart." This is the way the Olive Branch store used to be. I'm wondering if the management just changed towns because this is not normal for this store. Every indication tonight was that either there was no management on the premises or they were too afraid to face the very angry customers. Keep it up Kroger. Walmart has all ready trained everyone how to use a check out line, I guess you're headed there too. FYI, if I have to check myself out, I'll do it at the cheapest location. And that's not Kroger. The fuel points aren't even worth it anymore. read more

I stopped shopping at this store last year after the cashier at the gas station ran my debit card three times and charged me $50, without refunding me. I disputed the charge, and my bank eventually credited my account. Today, March 22 at 2:38pm., I was appalled by the amount of trash around the entrance--so much so that it resembled a dumpster. I touched five shopping carts that were broken. Despite this, I proceeded into the store to pick up a few items and encountered the Assistant Manager. Although he had a name tag, I regret not asking for his name. I explained the situation and showed him the trash outside the store. Not just the parking lot, but the area as you enter. The five carts I tested were all broken. He responded, "We have tried, but it's our demographic." I was stunned by his attitude. I walked away, and he made no effort to address the mess. Instead, he blamed the shoppers--who pay his salary and bonuses--for the state of the store. It's unacceptable that Kroger manages different-quality managers and services based on zip code. Instead of wasting money on new exterior signage, the store should hire managers who genuinely care. I am disgusted by this Manager's vile comment in today's climate and by his complacency, knowing nothing will change because of his prejudiced views towards customers. This is shameful. I have plenty of time to write this review as I stand in one of the few self checkout lines open because that's pretty much all there is open - self check out lanes with lines 5-8 people deep. Hey Kroger hire some cashiers and open up some more lanes. This is beyond stupid. If I have to do my own checking out and bagging I should get an employee discount because your damn prices aren't lower due to making us do all the work. I should have gone to Superlo or someplace else with lower prices and checkers. read more

One of the worst Krogers in DeSoto County enter at your own risk. Never had a great experience in this store for a while the new manager who runs this place does a terrible job running this place he mistreats employees including one elderly person working here. This place is never fully stocked and always falls behind. Pallets are all over the floor where the workers are always too lazy to stock them and it creates a jam down many isles. Employees at self checkout are always on their phones and don't help customers. I hope this store gets their act and hires a better manager and workers to keep this store stocked and well maintained. The Stateline store does a better job with this location as it's well maintained has friendly workers and always keeps the store well maintained. About 90% of the workers here don't take pride in their jobs totally unacceptable how this store operates and will be reported to corporate. read more

Large Kroger. Typically fruit and vegetables are fresh. Overall clean. Buck stops there. (How does one not sound racist.) Most of the female employees who happen to be colored are quite lazy. Looking at their phones, unless bagging or working the register. Good luck placing a pickup order and attempting to pick up next day. It won't be ready. thought I had maybe seen a turnaround,but not a chance.I left a basket with 85.00 in food in it at the self checkouts because I got prompted and nobody would help me, and yes someone was at the podium and I was at a register near the podium.she helped two other customers even going back to the podium between if I'm not mistaken.If you want to pull video it was around 4:05 five today. At the time she was doing absolutely nothing. when I was leaving she started asking interested. She was told if she couldn't help me the she could keep the cart. My time and patience was wasted. Good customer service is a foreign concept at this particular Kroger. Front end employees are more engaged in being on their cell phones and shooting the bull with each other. Last night I asked for help at self check out to a group of four employees standing around talking to each other about ten feet from the self check out. One finally responded and said "The self check employee will have to help you. She'll get to ya in a few minutes." This was a guy in a red vest which I believe is a management person. That answers the question about lack of proper training. This is the attitude being taught from the top down at this particular store. read more

Two years ago, this Kroger was the best I'd been to and I enjoyed shopping. No longer this case as I dread it now. A few opportunities for improvement: 1. Clicklist: the last few times I've been, roughly 50% of my list wasn't fulfilled. I went the next morning and all but one item was on the shelf... and these were not high movement items (ex: one was a four pound can of nacho cheese with dust on the top). They simply aren't being thorough. The substitutions weren't appropriate (ex: same brand, different flavor of salad dressing), and some high stock items (ex. boneless skinless chicken breast) unfulfilled. Since I nearly always have to make a second trip, I've given up on Clicklist. I submitted this feedback to them directly and never heard from anyone. 2. The store layout has been rearranged multiple times in the past two years, having just gone through one a few months ago and going through another one currently. The layout is poorly designed, customers have to navigate between support beams to get to what they want, and there is no logic to placement of the isles -- or at least not one I can deduce. 3. Other than self check, there are always very few registers open but TONS of employees around and, as another reviewer said, they don't seem to be participating in meaningful activity but rather, simply, standing there. I don't mind self checkout, but often (like today), a machine error resulted in me waiting five mins for help after I went and found someone. 4. Prices scan incorrectly far too frequently. A few weeks ago I bought a handful of items and two of them were priced double what they were supposed to be. I didn't realize it until I was home and took them back the next day. Mid-day, customer service was not open. Roughly six employees came by to tell me that as I waited for a Manager to help me (I refused to make yet another trip for their error... that was the only reason I drive there). 5. Issues or returns are a nightmare. I once waited FORTY FIVE minutes to return food which was bad when I opened it at customer service. In that time, I asked to see the Manager three times and one never came. Once my return was complete, I found the Manager on my own (he was standing near the front, apparently "overseeing" things (not producing meaningful work himself)) and was only slightly apologetic about both the wait and his never coming to assist. As I mentioned, this Kroger used to epitomize success. I know COVID has shops understaffed and customers over stressed, but this deviation began long before COVID and has only continued. It really is a shame. Side note: employees are not wearing their masks in conjunction with CDC guidelines nor are customers required to, making the need to go inside and/or more frequently even more concerning. read more

Horrible service!!!! I came to the customer service counter to make a return early in the morning. At first I was told no was there that could do the return, and I would need to come back in the late afternoon. Then someone came from the back and started my return. The first comment out of her mouth was this was not purchased at our store. I stated it was purchased at another Kroger location because of the poor service I receive here, and that statement is exactly what I mean. The attitude continued, while she completed the return. I had the items (unopened), the receipt, and my card. I did my part to make it easy. But the attitude was totally uncalled for and unnecessary. This Kroger produce is never fresh, all I hear on radio is how fresh and good the produce is this is not true! I never know when produce comes to the store. The chips have been stale lately and some of the bread molds quickly. I shop through the week and on weekends and the produce is never fully stocked so disappointed. I try to help in bagging my groceries and even bring a cart from the outside to use in the store. The rotisserie chicken is always good. read more

Did a click list for pick up and online it said it was ready to go. Went there and checked in and sat for 30 min. No one ever came out so I finally called the number and they said they would be out. 15 more minutes went by and finally someone came out and said that no one showed up for the evening shift so my order wasn't pulled. Well seems like they had plenty of time I've been sitting here for 45 minutes. I could have gone in and shopped it myself in that time. I then tried to call the store to complain to a manager about the horrible service and do you think anyone answers the phone? Nope been ringing for another 15 min. read more

This pharmacy is terrible! Jason the pharmacist is very rude. He hung up the phone in my face while I was trying to explain my situation. I asked to speak with someone else. He also kept talking over me pretty much disregarding what I was saying. Not only do I get prescriptions filled, I buy groceries every week from Kroger. I'll be returning to Walmart and Target for my weekly needs. read more

This used to be a well run store, but not any more. This store is one of the worst at opening enough registers, even when the lines are down the aisle. They are the least stocked store of all Kroger stores in Desoto county. Theymust have product. but they are slow at getting it in the shelves. Customer service isn't open half the time, even during day hours. They are 5 minutes from me, but I drive to Olive Branch or Hernando because I am so tired of them not having items I buy weekly. read more

I live close and the store is nice but never has enough help. I was at the store at 9pm and only 1 register was open. At least 10 I line as my ice cream melted and a manager stood by and watched as people bagged their own groceries. Hope one day Publix's will open where service matters and give them some competition. read more

If I could give less I would. Whoever is in charge of the click list should be replaced immediately. Every time we pick up, we end up waiting at least 45 minutes after we check in. That's if they don't reschedule us last minute without telling us. Tonight they brought out the wrong order after we waited 30 minutes after calling, then another 30 after that for them to get the correct order. Not to mention they don't bring the orders out in the correct order of when we pull up and call. It's also very strange they have to replace some of the most common items. read more

This Kroger sucks . You always have to do self check out . This morning I stood there for several minutes needing some help . I called customer service no answer . Finally a customer came up to me and pointed to the lady talking to another employee . I went over and ask for help . Extremely rude stockers in the AM. In several areas but especially in the cold cut section when I even left my cart out as to no crowd them. She cut me off twice. Going in to make my selections and again going away. Totally ignoring me. I felt I was being held in contempt for invading her space. Next, no checkout clearly marked whether it be self or attended. No lights. Worse than Walmart. Walmart in fact is way better in this respect and by the way cheaper, Kroger was closer but from now on I will go the extra couple miles to Walmart read more

Came to cash a check (that we've cashed here for the past 4 months) and suddenly, it's against the "policy" to cash it because of the ID. They did not bother to attempt to scan the ID to see it's valid or anything. I've worked at this exact Kroger and one of the constant things I've noticed, the Front End Supervisors always come off as rude and condescending. This was a waste of my time and my fiancé's time. The assistant manager (big dude) even said it was okay and the response? "He hasn't been there for a long time he doesn't know" and that came from someone who worked in the floral department. Didn't even try to see if it would go through. This was very unprofessional and very unprofessional to say about their BOSS. read more

One of the best and biggest Kroger's I have ever seen. Huge selection of different groceries that you usually don't see at a Kroger. I believe this is a new Kroger by the looks on the inside. Tons of mark downs. I have found my new Kroger. read more

Don't even bother with clicklist at this Kroger. They've called to cancel my order now for the second week in a row, one hour before my pickup time. Last week they rescheduled for the next day and they gave me expired meat. Terrible. read more

Never enough help unless it's the click list people. They leave those carts in the aisles restricting traffic. Be ready to sack your own groceries, may need to bring a cart in that you see outside. Just really understaffed. read more

Nice large Kroger with variety, however, I was disappointed by the lack of prepared meats in deli area. Most other new or large remodeled Krogers offer several meat options (meat loaf, chicken breast, crab cake, salmon, etc.). You can even get a meal of a meat and two side dishes for like $7. They did offer the typical greasy fried chicken but even that was already put away for the evening. They do have a salad bar at this location but it was kind of puny compared to many other Krogers I have visited. You will be ok here for standard grocery shopping. read more

Coming from Memphis, this Kroger blows my mind. If you have a question, the staff will answer it. They remember your face and smile at you and say "Hi, how are you?" They're organized and clean. It's almost like it's not a chain store. I love this Kroger and their staff, especially Cordell (sp?). Cordell is the best. So helpful and pleasant. read more
