I popped in on a Thursday not knowing that was the $5.00 meat day. I found a large selection of meats. They looked freshly sliced and packaged. This is definitely the place for deep freezer meats and or grilling needs. Prices cant be beat. I also noticed the deli and produce areas. I saw alot of deli meats and they can be sliced to order, with your preference on thickness. The produce was so bright, clean and fresh looking. I was extremely pleased. Excellent customer service, from the cashier checking me out to the young bagger that even walked me to my car and loaded it up. This particular store isn't service dog friendly. I have a medical alert dog and was told by management team members that my dog wasn't a service dog because he don't walk on the ground. In addition I've been going into that store for a year with this dog and never was told this on the contrary was told by many staff members that you can't even tell he's in the store. I will say on this particular day that management was so rude and disrespectful that he let out a single bark due to a flatbed dolly full of items cought him off guard. The dog was reprimanded in a form that he knew what he did wasn't tolered. How disappointed I am in Piggly wigglys pick of management. read more

While I find I can get groceries cheaper pretty much anywhere else it's nice to have a place like this around. No fuel points, no wholesale pricing, no free samples, and none of the stress you get from the Arkansas based giant. This is a truly unique shopping experience compared to any of the above mentioned institutions. There is no other place that I am aware of where they still have people standing around to take your groceries to the car and help you load them. It's kind of hard to get used to in the beginning I must admit. I mean, I am a grown man fully capable of carrying and loading my own groceries, but I have to remember these young men are working hard for tips. If you come please tip them well, their Grandma's are depending on it! (I made that last part up and I hope that all Grandma's are doing well and don't need their Grandsons tips.) You can find some good deals here every once and while, especially on craft beer for some reason. Their banana pudding is incredible and the rotisserie chickens are better here than anywhere else for some reason. The produce department is well stocked with fresh veggies and fruits and the meat department is fresh and inviting. I like the compact size of the place as well. They have everything you could possibly need. You could easily walk each and every isle and get in and out in less than 30 minutes if you are focused and determined. Shopped at this location for the first time. Arrived home missing multiple items purchased. Called the store to see if they had it but was told to come to customer service and they would help if I had my receipt. The next evening, on my way home, I stopped by to get my missing items that was only $17 and still needed to purchase another item. Manager comes to me and tells me he remembers seeing my items bagged and placed in my cart. He asked if I was sure I didn't have them. I explained to him the bagger they explained bagging it was not my bagger and I'm not sure how he remembers seeing it from the day before. After a minute, I realize he believes I'm lying and that I did receive the coffee and soups. I have never ever witnessed this and wasn't trying to get free items. I was furious they were basically accusing me of lying and took no accountability for the $17 of groceries I never received. Very poor management. I then called to explain my disappointment and I was hung up on. Will not enter this store again. I had to download Yelp to even give this review. I'm not typically one to give a negative review and a patient and positive person typically. read more

I think sometimes these smaller grocery stores get a bad rap. Every single time I've have ever used this store I have had nothing but wonderful experiences. It is always clean, always accommodating and the employees are more than helpful and eager to help. Things are a little bit pricier but it's worth the convenience and the stress free environment. I shop here all the time because I never have to wait in line and they always have plenty of sackers to take groceries to your car, I admit it may be a little more expensive but if you watch the sales its not bad. When you are a senior citizen with bad knees and arms it is worth it to me to never wait in line and never take groceries to the car. Always helpful too. Plenty of help. I use to haste going to Walmart. Service is awful never enough checkers. Krogers I always have to wait and I have to ask to get someone to take groceries out for me. Piggly Wiggly is a Memphis icon! I was very pleased to see this store move into the old defunct Butcher Shop location on 305 Hwy. I get excellent deals on meats and vegetables. The cereals are a bit pricey and the boxes are small, however, you can get great deals on large quantities on can goods that beat even Wal-Mart pricing ;) This is not a 24 hour chain like most in Memphis but the clerks insist to walk groceries to your car! Beware of the ads that Piggly Wiggly runs. I stopped in there today to get some Powerade that they had advertised for .59. you had to buy 5 bottles to get it at that price and I had 10 bottles. However when I got to the register they rang up at 1.00 each. I showed the ad to the cashier and she said that the special was good just on certain flavors. I had 10 flavors - so what was the problem?? She wouldn't give me the ad price so I told her to take them off of my purchase. Probably the last time I will go in there. Walmart has the same product for .68 and all of the flavors are included!!! read more
