UPDATE TO MAY 29, 2024, REVIEW. We were so happy with the first paint job completed by Kromas Painting that we contracted them again without obtaining other quotes. Some details we would like to share: - They traveled 115 miles to perform this work - Without thinking of this detail, they painted our black metal gate, all black faded hardware on the house, mailbox and all down spouts - They carefully cover all ground surfaces with plastic, so no paint is left to seep into the ground or ruin garden's aesthetics - They typically remove sconces and will install new sconces provided by homeowner. An equivalent installation is no additional cost - Clean-up is completed at the end of each day and the last day is reserved for any "Go Backs" and clean-up. - Up-front payment is within the California Down Payment Law. (Very fair) Two photos are attached with our prior project photos. The California Bungalow is the recent project. We had the best experience with Rigo and Kromas Painting for a very complex entire house painting job, involving exterior stucco and trim and an interior that involved 28 foot high ceilings. The job was even more complex having to work around multiple other contractors on site including window installers and stucco contractors. The team showed up every day on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. They were very accommodating to our needs since we continued to live in the house for the duration of the project. Furnishings were covered and handled with care. They always went beyond the painting task when they encountered problems like open drywall and loose fixtures, fixing things without being asked to do so. Rigo came by the job every morning at the start and at the end of every day to inspect the job. I have never had other contractors do that. They responded to spot issues immediately with fixes and not promises to come back later. The job quotes were clear and itemized. I think the cost was extremely reasonable. There were no unexpected surprises. This was one of the most professional contracting jobs we have had in 40 years of home ownership. This review is long overdue. Rigo did an amazing job on our Rancho Mirage home. There was zero surprise add on, zero damage and was done on the timeline he quoted. My home was super clean and put back together as it was left. He had incredible communication and photos during the process during as I l lived in OC. We've used Rigo twice now for various handyman services. We are both working professionals along with going to school and haven't had time to do stuff around the home. Rigo has been great to work with, he's friendly, knowledgeable, and affordable. He's also mindful of our work schedules and doesn't bug us during meetings when he's working on stuff. This time, we had him re-tile our fireplace and hang a new mantel. Because of his work we've already gotten lots of compliments on our fireplace. If I were to provide one recommendation on how he might improve, it would be nice if he wore booties or vacuumed the floor when he was done. I don't even know where to begin. Rigo was a life saver for my family and I this past weekend. We thought the smoke detectors needed to be changed, I called him he was at our house fixing them within the hour we came to find out it was the carbon dioxide alarm he went and bought us a new one and installed it. The night after our washing machine over flowed at 7:30 at night I called rigo he was at our house within the hour and saved us he removed all the water and started fanning our carpet to dry.
