I don't typically watch KRON news very often but I accidentally watched it tonight and the anchors were shockingly bad! I guess they're all going to be booted anyways when the station gets liquidated in the Fall It's as if they're trying to read really unsteadily held cue cards and not succeeding. Grant Lodes' laptop prop to make him seem more hip falls totally flat. Gail Ong's pacing was so bad I was embarrassed for her and had to turn the TV off. KRON changes in morning anchors is constant. Folsom is an irritant, Rena reports unnecessary traffic conditions. Field reporters can't read prompters without fumbling words. James and John are great. Also the constant infomercials force to the mute button. Fortunately there are better news choices. read more

I used to exclusively watch KRON for my news but now I think they have gone uber on the news and sacrificed their programming. Honestly - they have too many news programs and they just recycle the same stories over and over again. I really used to like to watch this channel for reruns of great programming and for one good nightly broadcast - but now it is on 5pm, 6pm, 8pm, 9pm and 10pm. Give it a break willya? Way too much. This format is not working for them. Occasionally I tune in for a bit of the news but in general I have switched to MSNBC for my news and I catch maybe 30 mins of the morning broadcast. I am finding them very lame, very lame indeed. I still lovely Stanley's People Behaving Badly... props to that. read more

This is for the weekly morning News Only! I love to watch the news in the morning, but can't stand Darya Folsom and all her personal opinions on issues. I just want to hear the news and not her irritating voice and stupid comments! So I can't watch Kron 4 news in the morning. KRON 4 has the potential to be a great morning news station, but Darya Folsom (she is not cute or funny) and her screaming and ridiculous comments ruin it, infomercials are annoying and if you see one hour you have seen it all, nothing original here! I called Kron news and talk to the news line. I was calling because they're talking about all these essential workers nurses doctors united parcel FedEx people that work in the stores but no one mentioned the post office I have several family members that work back office to handle packages that come internationally from the different airports with very minimal protection and we need to thank them their response was maybe they'll say something but if I wanted to give something special to them you know and get a bunch of people together maybe they'll show up they need to think these people if the post office stops the country stops so I hope The person I talk to does pass it forward and they do that will see read more

We have been loyal KRON 4 News watchers in the early mornng. While the personalities are OK, the news worthiness has gone south. Continuos infomercials (dating, construction, mortgage loans) finally made us look at other channels where there is more substance to what we want to know. Shame on you KRON. News is terrible. Seems to have way more commericals than other channels. In the morning, it's quite disappointing to listen to the spewings of Gary Radnich...So I stopped watching. Wake up shareholders you need read all of these past customers complaints. You need to get a new program director that will listen To your past customers that has moved to a real news channel. I only watch this because the coffee shop downstairs has it on all the time. All of their TV personalities are pretty poor, but by far the worst is the bellowing Fat Hat Lady on Saturday mornings. How any television station anywhere could have someone like that on camera I don't know. She's so awful I want to throw things at the TV set. read more

They are the most terrible news station in he Bay Area . KRON 4 completely sways to left and skew the story to best reach the public. Most of the time they do not have their facts right and tell you what they want you to hear .. obviously with PG&E .. according to them they are responsible for all the fires and devastating winds that fueled the fires .. I did not know that PG&E can control the weather.. also low with this fire in San Francisco .. even though that a third party contract crew dig into PG&E gas lines .. and created a fire ... the news is making PG&E the bad guy ... not the contractor.. as stated by PG&E their is a process to shut down that gas main to mitigate as many customers as possible and shut that particular length of main off .. if PG&E shut the whole system down ... then the news would skew it more by saying PG&E left thousands out in the cold by turning their gas off ... what a joke and KRON 4 news should be ashamed with themselves... as a reporter doesn't your conscious get to you ? Worst news channel I've seen in the Bay Area. A lot of accentuation on menial stories that don't even matter and stretching the crap out of it while adding half-assed commentary from people interviewed. They are so desparate for ratings-very "tired" news. Media roaches. read more

It's true about the infomercials they squeeze in between news time. Waste of time. And I can't stand Pam Moore and that guy that does "people behaving badly" Stanley or something. It's very irritating how they talk, you find yourself switching channels when they come on. Why can't they just talk naturally? Too much inflection of tones in their voices. Very ridiculous. I like that the reporters are down-to-earth, but some of them need lessons on English grammar, especially Y.A.. It is hard not to wince!
