Good liquor, just okay cocktails! Really sorry to write the second part because they are awesome people. Amazing property and a chill time to spend your time (regardless of group size). Loved their gin that they ate in a whiskey barrel. Highly recommend. They have a bunch of other gins that they make onsite. All their liquor is amazing if you taste them neat. The cocktails are a bit under thought.

I love a good distillery. So glad a group of friends and I stumbled upon this on a trip around Keuka Lake. We will definitely be back to this distillery. The menu options are plentiful and made expertly. The ambiance is great with live music and Cornhole set up for additional activities. Staff are friendly and attentive. Other tables were filled with locals who also were friendly and engaged in conversation. Great place!

Loved the atmosphere at this place. Live music and good times! The staff was super nice. Lots of drink choices. So much fun hanging and dancing with my friends. Be sure to stop here for a drink or two and the perfectly popped popcorn! So many margarita flavors!

Hannah was an awesome bartender and suggested several different drink options for us. The slushies we enjoyed were delicious. We loved the open tasting room and colorful merchandise available. Highly recommend.

I appreciate an establishment with the owner working behind the bar. We had great drinks and fabulous service. We order the Pretzel charcuterie board which was also amazing! It came out warm packed full of cheeses and meats. The only negative thing I can say is that they were all sold out of their whiskey, which I heard so much about. Therefore I threaten the owner who promised they will have Whiskey in a few days and I will be returning.... Lol

Great little reprieve from the countless wineries and breweries. In fact, it's located about a half mild from Steuben Brewing Company, and Keuka Brewing Company. You can drive right by and never know it was there. This happened to me several weeks ago. Anyhow, you head up the dirty and gravel hill on a driveway and come upon a sparse looking plot of something growing. It was looking pretty sad for the middle of July. Anyway, Krooked Tusker Distillery has a gravel parking lot with plenty of space for cars, limos, and buses. The building itself it newly constructed with a large porch and overhang. We were greeted by a one-man band playing some music similar to Mumford & Sons. Take a minute to really review your drink option before committing. Make sure to ask about the specials on the board. Unfortunately, they aren't describing in full detail. I found the young staff to be on their game. Able to make accurately describe each drink as well as make each drink. All which seemed very involved and time consuming. Cocktails were $6 each. I selected the Sweet Old Fashion and they had me at the ice ball that was placed in my glass. My husband ordered the Blushing Rose which was pretty tasty itself. The rest of the party ordered different versions of the sunrise. Both also pretty good. Also, if you feel you've been over served, or feeling a good buzz from your beer/wine/distillery tour, then head to the back of the Distillery. There you will find 2 sheet pizzas on a table with a sign for everyone to help themselves. The back wall shelves were filled with different types of drink mixers and bitters, all reasonably priced. Lastly they have a men's and women's room. Ladies, I got locked into the woman's room, so, beware. No Joke. I unlocked the door and the vacant sign appeared, yet the door would not open. I pulled, I pushed, but to no avail. I had to knock on the door for 2-3 minutes until 2 gentlemen who heard me came and assisted me. PHEW! Close call there! Overall, tasty drinks, knowledgeable staff, decent prices. I'd definitely go back in the future.

Stopped here during a weekend getaway in the Finger Lakes. They have enclosed their porch and added space heaters to help create room and easy social distancing during covid. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by live music. Best part, they were welcoming to letting our pup join us! We got their margaritas and did some of their samples. Such a fun and laid back place to stop!

I went here for the first time over the weekend, and we had an amazing time! I love the setup they have, with the outdoor but enclosed area. They had a nice band playing, and some really good drink speciality's. I tried their s'mores drink and it was absolutely amazing! My husband tried their harvest moon drink, and he said it was great! They also have popcorn their , you just have to ask for it. I also loved the fact that they allow dogs inside, since not many places do. We had a great expierence and can't wait to come back!

Our first time here over the weekend…read more Located inside the Skaneateles Brewery, this is a small, but welcoming tasting room. We opted for two tastings, which gave us 8 different products to sample. All of them were ok, but the standouts were the 4 Grain and the 2 cream liqueurs. We also ordered two cocktails, one was a whiskey sour and the other was pear based. Again, they were ok, but we would like to see them up their game to showcase the spirits with a house made sour mix instead of pre-bottled. Regardless, the employees were knowledgeable and answered all of our questions.

I met a bunch of friends of mine who are beer drinkers out here today unbeknownst to me that it's…read moremore than a brewery but a distillery as well. Yes, I now know they have the word "distillery" in the title but my assumption was this was strictly a craft brew place... wrong. I consider myself a very casual beer consumer. My preference is bourbon. While my friends all enjoyed their craft brews, I sampled the $4 flight of spirits coming away quite satisfied with every single one. And, I'm picky when it comes to Bourbon. My flight choice included the Four Grain whiskey, the Skaneateles whiskey, the Bourbon, the crème brûlée, and the honey barreled. Yes, I know, that makes 5. Though the flight was only 4 choices the server was very gracious and let me try the maple barreled one... sweet, but yum! The Four grain whiskey was one of the highly decorated spirits winning numerous gold awards. Though my first choice is not whiskey, this was absolutely fabulous! Deep, rich flavor that won't overtake your palette. The master distiller gets a lot of praise for the work he puts into his creations, all of which are earned. I found the Skaneateles whiskey to be quite excellent as well with its smooth finish and flavorful draw. Their bourbon stands right up there with some of the best I've had. I found a hint of maple, cherry flavor but not oaky. The crème brûlée was a nice sweet spirit a kin to Bailey's or Frangelica's. It's something coffee drinkers would find pleasant to add to their drink. I also very much enjoyed the maple whiskey. Having a sweet tooth for these sort of things this New York-based foundation made for a sweet tasty drink. There is seating inside and out. The day we were there they had live music. No question, we will all definitely be back again. I look forward to the time we can sit outside as well.

Our next stop of the day took us to our first distillery visit of the trip, and wow--Finger Lakes…read moreDistilling did not disappoint. What surprised us most? This was our very first time visiting, and we hadn't even realized they had been established since 2007! Knowing that they had been perfecting their craft for over 17 years, we were eager to dive into the tasting experience and see what they had to offer. The tasting room had a laid-back yet polished feel, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff ready to guide us through their lineup of small-batch, handcrafted spirits. The distillery prides itself on using locally sourced grains and fruits, and you could tell from the first sip that quality and attention to detail were at the heart of their process. The Tasting Lineup I opted for a tasting of four different spirits, and after enjoying those, I was encouraged to try two more--a bonus that made the experience even better. Here's what I sampled: 1 Straight Bourbon - This was beautifully balanced, with sweet corn and vanilla upfront, followed by a warming spicy rye kick on the finish. Smooth yet complex, it was a fantastic introduction to their bourbon lineup. 2 Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon - A true standout, this one had rich caramel and toasted oak flavors, along with the perfect balance of spice and warmth. Aged for at least four years and bottled at 100 proof, it had a bold yet refined character that made it easy to appreciate. 3 McKenzie Straight Rye - If you're a fan of rye whiskey, this one is for you. It had that signature spicy rye bite, but what really made it unique was the sweet sherry cask finish, adding a layer of richness and complexity that lingered beautifully. 4 Bottled-in-Bond Rye - One of the most interesting pours of the day, this rye was bursting with flavors of chocolate, nougat, and dried red fruit. The influence of the barrel aging was prominent, giving it a decadent, almost dessert-like quality while still holding onto its classic rye spice. After those four, I couldn't resist trying two additional spirits: 5 Apple Brandy (Aged 10 Years) - A masterfully aged apple brandy that showcased deep, caramelized apple flavors, balanced with warm baking spices and oak influence. The 10 years in the barrel really allowed this spirit to develop incredible depth and smoothness. 6 Grappa - This was an unexpected favorite--simply sensational. Grappa can sometimes be overpowering, but this one was smooth, refined, and packed with rich grape flavors, making it one of the best versions I've tried. Taking a Piece of Finger Lakes Distilling Home While every single pour was impressive, the one that stood out the most for me was the Straight Bourbon--so much so that I had to bring a bottle home. It reminded me of a classic Rye Whiskey, with just enough spice to keep things interesting but smooth enough to sip neat. Final Thoughts Finger Lakes Distilling far exceeded expectations, and I can't believe it took us this long to visit! With their commitment to quality, incredible range of spirits, and inviting tasting experience, this is a must-visit for anyone exploring the Finger Lakes region--whether you're a bourbon lover, rye enthusiast, or just appreciate finely crafted spirits. It was the perfect stop to break up a day of wineries and breweries, offering something distinctly different yet equally enjoyable. Next time, I'd love to stay a little longer, maybe sip on a whiskey cocktail and take in the atmosphere even more. Cheers to great whiskey and new discoveries!

I chose blueberry and ginger. It was delicious. I loved that she added 4 plump delicious blueberries on a toothpick in the drink. The bartender/hostess Lisa was super nice and helpful. I sat and had my cocktail. Chatted up with some tourists, it was all very pleasant and relaxing. I love their Vodka that is made with grapes. It's nice and smooth. Would make an excellent Martini. The vibe is super welcoming. I was in there during a slow time, of day in the middle of the week, but they still had a fair amount of business during this time. It was just what I needed, quite pleasant conversation, and a cool cocktail. I imagine it can get quite crowded and loud during the weekend. They have some cool gift items, martini shaker sets, Olives and Olive juice, and some different flavored syrups that they actually use behind the bar. The cherry on top for me would have been if they served Martinis. The bartender was so sweet, when I ordered one, she said it had been a while, but was willing it give it a go. I declined and asked for her suggestion, and as a result I had my wonderful cocktail mentioned above. So, all was good in my world. Plus Lisa and I had fun making a new creation. She said she never did made it with blueberry and ginger! It was fantastic and refreshing. My reason for declining the martini, was because for me the perfect Martini is served in a chilled Martini glass. Which I don't think they had. I did find it odd that you can buy everything you need to buy and take home to make a martini, but do not have it on the menu. Hopefully in the future they will make their own signature martini, perhaps blueberry. Cause I tell you that blueberry syrup, in a chilled Martini glass, with a splash of vermouth, with their grape Vodka, and the blueberry garnish, would have been sublime! I will definitely be back and In the end I was super happy with the drink, it was much more refreshing than a martini. Thank you Lisa it was an excellent suggestion. I ended up buying a bottle of Vodka, and the blueberry syrup. The blueberry syrup had a hint of vinegar in it, and I thought it would make an excellent reduction sauce for my deserts. I also thought I could make a nice salad dressing with it too. Or maybe it's just time for me to chill my Martini glasses at home. Ooh, I almost forgot. They have out outdoor seating, and a woman came in and ordered two drinks, and mentioned she was sitting outside because she has her dog. The bartender told her dogs are welcome both inside and outside. I loved hearing this, maybe next time I will bring my dog. This is also one of the things I love about this side of the finger lakes, dogs are welcome in a lot of businesses.

We arrive and the woman came to us and said here is the list, I'll be back as she was finishing up a tasting with three other guys. You were able to select a single pour tasting, FLX Tasting which was three for $10, Whiskey Flight which was Reserve, SM, Bourbon for $16, Full flight for $22 and a cocktail flight for the same. The whole flight was 12+ and I'd not be able to drive if I did that. I decided on a few which the smoked bourbon, single malt and Distillers Reserve 7 year at 120 proof at $120 bottle. It was really good, but I couldn't justify paying that much for a single bottle, although I've paid $150 for a single malt two years ago. At the end of the day my favorite was the Smoked Bourbon at $70 for a bottle. It was good and different, but I think the Distillers Reserve was probably the best but at a better price then I'd gone for that. Overall this is a place for tasting and buying. But they do offer cocktails, beer and spirits by the glass. Seating outside is nice.
