So tasty, perfect on a hot summer day. Awesome outdoor seating, plenty of room for lots to gather. Friendly employees, great communication about the cocktails and liquor.

Had an amazing time chatting with Chris the distiller. The spirits are great - I especially loved the chocolate cream, but my husband favored the bourbon. Can't wait to come back when it's warmer and we can hang outside!

Stopped by here to do a quick tasting and pick up a bottle. Found it randomly by searching for distilleries on google maps when we had an hr to kill between activities. We were glad we stopped in. The bartender was very sweet and explained everything to us and the differences in the types of booze. The head distiller guy (forgot his name, oops!) also gave us a nice run down of the process. The clear panels downstairs that show off the distillery equipment is pretty cool, and it looks like they had some spaces for larger events as well. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the interior is quite charming.

A perfect example where passion and love shine through into the product! Their bourbon id smooth with warm notes of vanilla and caramel. Their gin (just released) is also smooth, but with the flavor of fresh, bright spice and citrus. Chris is the proud distiller who will share with you how these (and his other) liquors come to be. What a treat, as if Skaneatles wasn't already wonderful.

    Under their picnic table!

The watermelon flavor came through just enough to where it wasn't overpowering. I shared a waygu burger and fries with my dad and it was definitely more than enough food. I was skeptical at first with the fries being around $6, but the portion was very large and definitely worth the money. The snack shack was packed but my food came out super quick and warm, the staff definitely knew how to handle a crowd!! We ended the night with a few cider donuts and a beautiful view!! Beak and skiff is definitely worth the hype, everyone needs to come at least once, and definitely for a concert!

**The following review is my personal opinion and based on my individual experiences**…read more It's disappointing to see a once-beloved local brand begin to resemble the kind of corporate operation it once seemed proud to distinguish itself from. Since January 2025, it feels to me like there's been a noticeable shift in Beak & Skiff's priorities. Pride-related messaging and products that were previously visible around June have disappeared. The Pride flag was temporarily removed during the Warren Zeiders concert last summer, only to be put back up the following day. Is that an insult to Warren Zeiders fans by assuming they're all bigots who would be offended by a rainbow flag? Whatever the reason for taking it down, the inconsistency raises fair questions for me about whether certain expressions of inclusion are actual values of Beak & Skiff's or simply marketing strategies when culturally "cool". It feels to me like recent changes reflect a greater emphasis on their bottom line being the priority now. A local organization rep I know told me that her recent request for a cancer tournie fundraiser basket was declined. And the updated property and programming, to me, seems geared toward ticketed events (nice to see they added women musicians to their live music schedule, though!). It feels like activities that once helped make the orchard accessible to a broad range of families at varying income levels now come at a higher cost. And the "patriotic" NYS fair drink was an interesting choice given the current political climate, in my opinion. From my perspective, Beak & Skiff now seems to be catering to a narrower demographic than it once did. The emphasis on community, accessibility, diversity, and inclusion feels considerably less visible than it used to. For a company that has historically presented itself as family-run and community-minded, that change is unfortunate and worth acknowledging...in my opinion, that is.

My suggestion would be to do what we did and get yourself a flight of the various options and decide for yourself which one is right. There's Apple-based whiskeys, whiskey's distilled in maple barrels, to 110+ proof heavy duty stuff, there's a nice selection for all. Oh, and don't forget to try the slushy's. Don't bother with the sampler, dive right into the largest one they offer. You probably won't be the one driving back at that point. These are outstanding! So we arrived on a Saturday because the place online stated that it was closed during the week. Someone mentioned it to the owner while we were there and she said we are opened all week, well Google said differently and we would have came sooner. My wife got a mixed drink but me I sampled the different whiskeys from mushroom infused, Rye, Bourbon and other items. Let me tell you I never expected it would be as good as it was. I was truly impressed with what they had on the shelves. I enjoyed a glass of Rye whiskey neat and came home with a bottle of the bourbon and the Rye. They both were exceptional. What is nice is that they offer it in 375 and 750 ml. Which is nice when places do this it's nice in case you're not certain if you want to purchase the more expensive bottle. Mushroom Spirits Distillery is living proof that you should never judge a book by its cover. Tucked away in a modest space, this distillery may seem unassuming from the outside, but inside lies a treasure trove of exceptional spirits waiting to be discovered. Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the cozy intimacy of the distillery. While the space may be small, it only adds to the charm and character of the experience. However, I would recommend spacing out your visit, as the limited seating area can quickly become crowded, especially during peak times. During my visit, I had the pleasure of sampling the distillery's offerings, and I was blown away by the quality and craftsmanship of their spirits. Despite the small size of the establishment, the selection was impressive, with each drink offering a unique and unforgettable flavor experience. Despite the bustling atmosphere, with only a single person serving us, I was impressed by the dedication and professionalism of the staff. Despite being busy attending to all of us, our server remained attentive and accommodating, ensuring that each guest received the attention they deserved. It's clear that Mushroom Spirits Distillery is a labor of love, with a commitment to excellence that shines through in every aspect of the experience. From the quality of the spirits to the warmth of the service, every detail is thoughtfully crafted to ensure a memorable visit. In conclusion, Mushroom Spirits Distillery is a true hidden gem that deserves to be explored and appreciated. Don't let its modest exterior fool you - inside, you'll find an extraordinary experience waiting to be savored. Whether you're a seasoned spirits enthusiast or simply looking for a unique outing, I highly recommend paying a visit to Mushroom Spirits Distillery. You won't be disappointed.

The property is clean and simple, the tasting room was in line with what we experienced last last in Kentucky in more rural spots. They make gin, vodka and whiskey. I'm not much of a liquor drinker but my husband bought 4 bottles and said it's fantastic- he is very into bourbon and if he says it's good then it is. To my untrained palate it tastes like alcohol. It's $3 for 3 tastings and you can also get a cocktail. There is a fair amount of branded products and souvenirs. We purchased our tickets after being approached by Terry who negotiated a decent price with us because he wanted a full boat for the next trip. Captain Bill was an experienced Captain and is well known in the area. Captain Bill even assisted another sailing boat that was in distress and precariously close to the lake edge. The trip was two hours long and on time.
