I saw him for a second opinion before permanently removing my failing tooth. I liked his personality, professionalism as well as the quality of his team (thanks Lindsay), so much that I stuck with him even after he moved his Etters office, which is 4 times the distance. I continued for the next 6 years despite the inconvenience because of the trust and high level of care. One day I left first thing in the morning for a routine check up upon receiving an automated reminder text that morning. Upon arrival, the receptionist told me my hygienist had called out sick. That's unfortunate, because everyone gets sick. But feeling frustrated, I was hoping for some acknowledgement of the inconvenience or a small accommodation (someone else to see me if I am willing to wait, or squeeze me in and reschedule me in the same week, etc). Nothing. The receptionist simply stared at me, waiting for me to dismiss myself. That was the last straw for me -- wasting an hour of driving and away from work was an excuse enough for me to end the long commute. Aside from this single incident and for me the long distance, I only have positive things to say. If you are within his service area, I would still highly recommend Dr. Capozzi and his team.

The office has all the latest technology and the actual clinical care during cleanings and basic procedures felt high quality. Unfortunately, their business model is where things completely fell apart for me. They do not perform root canals or other advanced procedures in-house due to partnerships within their dental network. What that means in practice is that if you need anything beyond basic work, you're referred out, and those referrals go straight to specialists who push additional appointments, expensive 3D scans, and tests that are often unnecessary. No one clearly explains that these extras may not be required, and you'll get calls saying you owe hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars for diagnostics your insurance won't cover. Additionally, I had several small areas being monitored by my previous dentist that did not require fillings yet. This office told me I needed multiple fillings and had already completed two before I started to question things. After switching to another dentist for a second opinion, I was told those areas did not need fillings at this time and could simply continue to be monitored, exactly as my prior dentist had been doing. The new dentist also evaluated the issue that supposedly required advanced scans and determined that since I had no pain or symptoms, no immediate treatment was necessary. They explained that if something changes, I can come directly into their office for a root canal that is covered by my insurance, without unnecessary add-ons. If you're looking for basic cleanings and routine care, this office may be fine. But if there's any chance you'll need more involved treatment, be very cautious and consider getting a second opinion before agreeing to additional procedures or costly referrals.

Everyone in the office is so friendly and helpful and they remember you! They treat their patients like family. It is a small practice and there are only a few hygienists but all of them do a thorough cleaning and take the time to make sure you are comfortable and address any concerns you may have about your oral health. Dr. Selcher himself is very skilled and kind. I've been lucky to have only 2 cavities in my life and both were spotted extremely early and taken care of thanks to his expertise and thoroughness. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and makes every effort to help them without trying to sell any new or unnecessary products or procedures. My husband used to dread going to his last dentist, due to them constantly lecturing him and trying to sell him on some new product. He recently started going to this office and loves how he is treated! He's even started making 6 month check up appointments keep his teeth in check. I'd recommend Dr. Selcher and his crew to anyone looking for a caring and talented dentist.

I did meet Dr. Selcher by chance even so there are no coincidences with God…read more For decades I consulted a certain dentist ever since I have met my wife. It was through her family that I started to go there. My mother in-law went to a women retreat where she came upon a free beautiful looking couch since we were looking for one. My mom told me that a certain man named Sam was willing to pick up that couch for free and she gave me his number. On the day Sam delivered the couch him and I were talking about an issue I had with my teeth. Eventually I set up an appointment to give it a shot. This Wednesday July 28th, 2021 I went to see him. I was told previously that one of my crowns has a broken seal and food particles started to decay the remaining tooth. Having had a root canal on same I couldn't feel any pain though. The plan was to take the old one of, take care of the tooth and get a new crown. I was sitting in the chair for no more than 15 minutes. When Dr. Selcher was done I asked him if he took the crown out. He said there was no need. All he needed to do is to squirt a treatment against the caries (decay) and just have the crown resealed. I was just baffled. How often do you encounter a doctor of any kind where the least minimal amount is done at the lowest expense possible. I am more than pleased with the experience that I had. Dr. Selcher is one of those gents who care about their patience more than making all the money they possibly could make.
