I am a disabled Gulf War Veteran and a true believer of honor, dignity, and humility. Harborview has none of these qualities. They will have you believe I threatened them with poor reviews, I did they ignored 3 separate attempts to contact them regarding a safety and security issue at one of their properties. They will also say i wanted money.( read the emails I've attached) Clear as day I did not want cash just the entry door secure. No follow up for 10 days and only after I called them out for poor service. I am attaching the emails so they cannot lie about the situation. Emails: I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding the handling of our recent stay: Apollo #509 Check In Date: 4:00 pm 06/19/2026 Check Out Date: 10:00 am 06/24/2026 Reservation #: RES-29737 Upon arrival on Friday, we discovered significant maintenance issues: the door handle was bent and the deadbolt was loose to the point of spinning. Additionally, the bathroom sink was severely clogged. By Saturday morning, the lock fell off entirely. Despite multiple emails and a voicemail from my wife, we received no response from your office for several hours. We were eventually forced to involve VRBO Customer Care to get a reaction. Due to the faulty lock, our security was compromised--we had to store our valuables in our vehicle and barricade the door at night. On Saturday evening, another individual was actually able to open our door by mistake. While a locksmith and plumber were eventually dispatched on Monday, no one from your team followed up for the remainder of our trip to ensure the issues were resolved or to check on our well-being. The door knob which is bent was not replaced with the other concerns. This is my final attempt to resolve this matter directly with your team. If I do not receive a prompt response regarding this experience, my wife and I will proceed with sharing our feedback through online reviews. 10 days with no valid response. Email: Jun 29, 2026, 1:34PM (2 days ago) to Steve, Jim, Info Afternoon, The issues with the property were not addressed until three days after our arrival on what was only a five-day trip. We arrived on Friday, and the front door was not repaired until Monday afternoon. I do not consider that a prompt response. VRBO Care spoke with a representative from your company, who stated that your business would do something to address the inconvenience once the repairs were completed. At no point did I ask for or suggest any form of compensation. My only concern was having a rental property that could be secured. I have a video showing the deadbolt coming out in my hand. I also have a video showing that the door handle was bent and half cracked. That damage was never communicated to the locksmith, and I am confident it remains unrepaired. This is yet another interaction with your company that has been handled poorly. Before responding, you or a supervisor should have reviewed the previous email correspondence to fully understand the situation. For three days, my family stayed in an unfamiliar town in a property that could not be properly secured. Every time we left, we had to carry our valuables to the locked cargo area of our rental vehicle because we could not trust the front door. That is not the vacation experience anyone expects. Unfortunately, there continues to be no indication of empathy or meaningful customer service from your team. This is now my fourth email to your company. I have been more than patient throughout this process. Since my concerns continue to be dismissed, I will proceed as outlined in my previous email if no real empathy is shown. Thank you for making this a vacation we will certainly remember--but for all the wrong reasons. As a final comment, they failed and are now trying to cover their tracks with lies. The above emails tell the truth. Harborview Rentals will not ensure your safety or happiness if you use their service which are found with lies and deception and not handling their shortfalls.
