Day before my scheduled appointment I get a text showing my 9:00am appt. A little later I get a voicemail indicating I needed to change which PA would see me - no problem. I call in, change docs. Arrive at my appointment ON TIME. I wait an hour, watching people go in, people who arrived after me go in. I go to desk, she says, your appointment is for 10:30. I say no, the text and voicemail said 9:00. The woman sitting in the scheduling chair turns and says (not to me) I called her but I don't know who she spoke to when she called back. I return to my seat, find the voicemail that says 9:00, go up and show the desk clerk and the scheduling woman doesn't let me finish and says AGAIN, not to me, I CALLED HER IT WAS 10:30! Here's the thing, I'm going to wait no matter what, I need the meds and blood draw. We all make mistakes, myself included, a little courtesy from either clerk, an apology, (sorry for the confusion) would have been appreciated. I work in customer service and the attitude, tone, and behavior of the scheduling woman would be something they could be fired for at another institution . To have that experience at the doctor is enough to give me pause to change doctors. Very disappointing and leaves a very bad taste in regards to this office.

I wish we would have had at least a 30-60 day notice before she left. Dr. Nguyen is not a good fit for Dr. Arnold patients! My family members and other elderly patients that were patients for years had to find another PCP instantly! Speaking for everyone... wish Dr. Arnold the best but I wish she had more time to find a better fit and train the new provider! If Dr. Nguyen will accept you as a new patient then go by all means but be prepared to wait all day. Again... she's a very good doctor. Just not a good fit

Very nice lady. She even laughs at my corney jokes! Then she tells me she couldn't read my writing (neither can I! I have tremors.) She laughs at that and we go through all the meds I take for their records. She thanks me and says the dr would be in in a few minutes. About 5 minutes pass and the doc enters the room. He asks how the staff did. I tell him they did great. "Yeah," he says "they're so cool". (And he meant that) Then he starts talking about current events. Then he says "you have" (lists some of my afflictions). I say (wondering how he knew) yeah. We talk a little, he listens to my heart, lungs and says "you have copd too, dont you?" Yeah I say, howd you know? (I never put copd on my check-in papers.) "Lots if experience" he says. We talk about my medical issues. He has an UNCANNY understanding of my issues and quick fixes and long term fixes for my problems. He asks how things are on my current meds. I tell him good...all things considered. He asks if I would like to try one additional prescription. I'm interested. He says the meds that I had discontinued before seeing him attempt to treat only one part of my symptoms. This new med treats a different symptom. He writes it up. I'm going to try it this weekend. Ill check back. BOTTOM LINE: Dr. Morrill is a cut ABOVE most docs. Unassuming, with a wealth of experience, knowledge and even some humor. He's a combat era vet. That makes it easy for me to say: I literally trust this man with my life! P.S. If you can ever find a dr's office that does not have an occasional scheduling problem, well that means you're in heaven, because here on earth plans and schedules seldom go off without a hitch! That goes for EVERY GP, cardiologist, gastrointerologis and every CPA, government official and EVERYONE ELSE!

ATTN: Dr. Nama Subject: Serious Concern Regarding Withheld…read morePrescription Dear Dr. Nama, I'm writing to express my deep frustration and serious concern regarding the handling of my recent prescription refill by your staff. What I experienced this week was not only negligent, but unethical -- and it put my health at risk. It is absolutely unacceptable. On Tuesday, 5/5 Morning, I called your office to schedule an appointment and explained that I was aware of the 3-month policy for prescription renewals and even scheduled the appointment for next week to show good faith that I was going to the appointment for the refills going forward. I also clearly stated I was down to my last two pills and urgently needed a refill to hold me over until my upcoming appointment. I was told the request would be passed along to you for same-day approval as you're the only one that can approve it. On Tuesday, 5/5 Afternoon, I followed up and was told the prescription would get approved by the end of the day by YOU as you're the only one that can approve it. On Wednesday, 5/7, I drove through heavy traffic and waited in line at the pharmacy, only to find out that nothing had been sent. I called the office again and was told again that it had now been sent. I was spoken to condescendingly when I simply tried to confirm that it was, in fact, submitted this time around. On Thursday, 5/8, I returned to the pharmacy again -- and again, nothing was there. At this point I had run out of medication completely. I called your office once more, and the experience was even worse. One staff member (I believe her name was Mariana) was initially going to send it over right away she said, but once she realized I was upset -- understandably so -- she became dismissive, took back the help she had initially offered, and told me I'd have to wait for your approval after all. She then hung up on me and refused to let me speak with a higher-up. I called back, hoping to reach someone who could actually assist me, I called again -- this time through the scheduling line -- and finally reached someone who, despite also being very snappy, submitted the prescription for me right away and within five minutes, it was available at the pharmacy. That shows me this could have been done from the start, but was intentionally delayed on purpose by your staff!!!!!!!!!!! This experience was unacceptable. I was lied to, treated disrespectfully, and given the runaround for multiple days -- all while being out of life-dependent medication!!!! Your staff withheld my prescription out of pettiness, and it is unethical and very dangerous! They are not only unprofessional and unaccountable, but they clearly lack the training or compassion required to handle people's health with the seriousness it deserves!!!!! Dr. Nama, this is negligence. If anything had happened to me due to being without medication, the consequences could have been serious for all involved. I'm demanding that you look into this issue thoroughly. Your patients deserve a staff that is competent, professional, and most importantly, trustworthy when it comes to their health! Sincerely, Magda Rodriguez

Those two facts alone tell you everything you need to know. Contact was made in the second week of April to schedule a new patient appointment for asthma-related issues. The earliest available date was May 26, over a month away. On May 16, before a single visit had taken place, charges were applied for both April and May. The patient was seen at urgent care in the meantime and still plans to establish regular care here given the location works after a recent move to Denison, TX. After this experience, that plan is now in serious question. The appointment was cancelled to resolve the billing issue. A refund was promised by May 18. Four follow ups were made across emails and calls, each time receiving the same assurance. It is now Thursday and not a single dollar has been returned. To top it off, an email came in asking for the patient's name, information that had already been provided multiple times. Disorganized, unresponsive, and unbothered sums it up well. Charging before any care is provided, then making patients fight for their own refund after 4 follow ups, is unethical and unprofessional. Go in with your eyes open.
