I had long heard of Krystal because they are similar to the little square sliders at White Castle that I grew up with in the Midwest. But the former has mostly been a southeastern fixture. So, on a trip to Mississippi where some my wife's relatives live, we stopped into Krystal on the way back to Texas. The restaurant itself has a small dining room with a carpeted floor (kinda has a 90s vibe). The staff were very friendly though, and we didn't have to wait long. We ordered the 24-pack which came out pipping hot in a tower-style carrying case. They seem to have a meatier patty, a fresher, softer and thicker bun, and slightly larger steamed onion slivers and pickles. Also, the biggest difference is that the sliders came standard with mustard. More substantial than White Castle. Delicious! We also tried the sliders with cheese and bacon, which were even better! My wife ordered the mini corn dog and chili dog, which were perfect! The fries and tots were good but nothing over-the-top. If you are ever in Philadelphia, MS then you must try a Krystal slider. read more

I don't know what has changed lately, but today we had the best Krystal burgers I've had in years. The buns were toasted and not greasy. You could taste the mustard, without it being overwhelming. The wait was a little long, but I'll take a longer wait for a perfect sack of hot, fresh, and juicy Krystals. read more

The person at the drivethru was very rude. Didn't ask what we wanted to drink just started to give us the drinks that they wanted to give us. I think it was actually the manager that served us cause they were wearing a black shirt. But another person came and helped us a little bit and she was so much nicer. read more

Good burgers but the night manager has a bad attitude. I ordered 24 with no onions no cheese. Waited 30 min and it came with cheese. They've done this the last 3 times. My family don't like thier cheese so I took them back. Mgr lady say ugg and rolled her eyes and says u ordered cheese. No I said 2 time no onions no cheese. She said well you'll get them plain then. I said no onions no cheese please. She said you'll get em plain. I'm still waiting now who knows what I'll get. Better not spit in my food. I tried to be nice. Worste place ever. Flies all inside the eating area, in the bathroom and behind the counter. Got some lemonade out the machine and saw brown specks in it. Should have left after that but decided to eat since I already paid. Now I feel like I'm going to puke. I would not recommend coming here. read more

Went here tonight and saw a sign advertising a sackful of burgers and two drinks and two fries for about $12. Sounded pretty good so I ordered a sackful of Krystal's burgers and told the employee I wanted both drinks to be sweet tea. I paid my money, get my bag, and start to leave the parking lot and realize she forgot the fries. I walk into the restaurant and politely ask where my fries are. The employee says oh you wanted the combo? Turns out she rang up a sackful of burgers and two drinks separately, which equaled the same as if I had gotten the fries as well. I said ok I will drive back around thru the drive thru because I didn't bring my receipt and debit card inside. I drive back around and no one is at the window. I wait. Nothing. So I honk my horn. An angry looking manager appears. I politely explain the situation and ask her to ring up a combo for me, since that's what I intended to order. She told me she couldn't do a refund and ring up the correct amount, but "I'll just give you the fries but you should have asked for that." She was being very dismissive and rude, so I asked for my debit card back and told her to forget about it. I said "I just wish the girl had told me that when I came inside." As I was talking, the manager shut the glass window in my face and she started walking away after rolling her eyes at me. I admit I lost my temper and yelled "you're welcome!
