They just want the easy, uncomplicated 10 minute patients. I don't even have any of these things, but god forbid something happens, seems like you'll get ditched/referred elsewhere as a patient the minute you need pain management or you get hurt at work. Seems icky to me. Also the passive aggressive message on the automated voice message about weight loss medications rubbed me the wrong way, too!

It's not as "Jolie sexy" as it sounds). Getting an appointment was no problem, and I was able to get on the schedule within about a week. This review is not for Dr Melgar, since I did not meet him. His PA, Jessica Drexlinger, was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. She took a great deal of time considering the pathology of my case and testing every possible scenario. It was wonderful to have a medical professional take my problem seriously, instead of just handing me some cortisone and sending me on my way.

I am looking into legal action action against them. Why? 2 weeks ago, my mother-in-law went to see Dr. Melgar. He ordered blood work for her. We paid for this visit ourselves, no insurance. 1 week ago, my mother-in-law was approved for medicaid and received her card. Today, she went for blood work ordered by Dr. Melgar. For one of the orders, the facility required something extra, a code of some kind. Dr. Melgar's staff member refused to do this, calling my wife a liar, that her mother had medicaid all along and they don't accept Medicaid. (Completely ignoring the fact we paid for the visit without Medicaid) She was so rude & hostile that my wife called me in angry tears. Complete refusal to fulfill their duties, simply because they are too lazy. We paid for the service. All they have to do is fulfill their obligation started by Dr. Melgar's orders. We can take the results to another doctor. No problem. But we can't take the results if the morons won't give the OK for the doctor's orders. We shouldn't have to pay another doctor to give the exact same order.

I was sent here by a company called LHI, a company that is contracted through the VA (Veteran's Affairs) to send Veteran's "out in town" to see a non VA doctor for certain exams, if a VA provider is not available. Ok so, my appointment was scheduled for 11:45 am, which is the time that Hamburg Primary Care chose! I called them at 11:40 to say I'd be 5 min late. They said ok, that's fine. I checked in at 11:48, 3 min late. A nurse did not see me to take my vitals til 12:08, 20 min later which is already annoying. She took me to the room where I would see the doctor and said so and so will be in shortly. Ya know, the usual. I was not seen by the doctor til 12:37!! I had SO much time sitting in that room, I began to look around. The room was what I would call filthy! I mean maybe that's an exaggeration (see pics), but it's a doctor's office!! There were large dust bunnies on the floor and trim. Side note- I am severely allergic to dust mites, believe it or not. I've been tested and I start to sneeze a lot when I'm around too much dust/dirt. It also bothers my throat. You don't expect to walk into a dirty patient doctor room at a doctor's office. There were also fair amounts of chunks of dirt in various places on the floor. It looked like the floor hadn't been swept in awhile. Too long for any standards, but def too long for a doctor's office. There was also a film of dust on the edge of the counter top as shown in pics. The top of the Biohazard bin had a film of dust on it as well. They just need to clean! The doctor was very pleasant and apologized for the wait. I was polite and did not complain about how long I waited. I just wanted to do my exam and leave as I had other plans for my day after this appointment. Based on having to wait almost 1 hour to be seen and the gross state of the room, I would not recommend this establishment and will never go back. Also, I had to drive 50 minutes each way to be seen here! Luckily we're getting paid for travel.

The front office treats patients like numbers, not people. Their equipment feels outdated, and their communication process is incredibly frustrating--they rely strictly on phone calls for appointments, so if you miss a call, you're out of luck. Yet they seem quick to drop patients who miss appointments, and I personally know several people who have been dismissed for that reason. The online support system is almost unusable, and getting anyone from the office to respond is a challenge. The office manager never returns calls, and the staff often makes excuses on his behalf instead of helping resolve issues. I wasn't dropped as a patient, but after experiencing how poorly the administrative side operates, I will not be going back. I honestly feel bad for the doctors who have to work with such an incompetent support team.
