Smokin'Hubster picked out K's Oriental Food for dinner and it paid off. It was easy to call in the order, was ready for pick up in 25 minutes and away we went. There's a small parking lot next to the restaurant. The sign says 'Dine In' but I don't think that's happening anymore. They also accept credit cards, sort of surprising for a tiny spot. The portions are super generous. We'll have lunch as well as dinner! I ordered the House Lo Mein based on comments shared on Yelp! and I was not disappointed. It tasted good and the flavors were balanced. SH got the Sesame Chicken and actually let me try some. The sauce was light and not too sweet, which I also thought tasted good. The chicken pieces were a bit big but not unmanageable. We also split an order of pork egg rolls, which probably tasted best right out of the fryer but were still yummy when we got them home. We were hungry, and they were open. We had egg foo young, pork fried rice, and sesame chicken. The egg foo young was the best of our selections, the other two were entirely average. The chicken was not remotely spicy despite our request for spice. The woman taking orders could try to slow down her communication on the phone. Ordering was hard. read more

They offer a lunch special with an entree, an egg roll and choice of soup. The good.... I Loved the egg roll and the Egg Drop Soup but my entree was so BAD! I ordered the Sesame Chicken. Only ate 2 pieces. They were tough, chewy and tasteless. Maybe freezer burnt, over cooked or just really cheap meat... but it was terrible. Very mediocre Chinese food. I wouldn't say anything sticks out as exceptional or outstanding, but it's consistent and you get a lot for your money. My favorite is the chicken Mei fun. The best in its cuisine in Marquette. We had the Chicken Lo Mien and the Generals Chicken. Both were outstanding. Also had the pork egg rolls...outstanding. Take out only, which is fine imo. read more

Worst place to order. Found hair in my food. I was told I'd be refunded. They picked up the food that had hair in it and we're suppose to refund me. Then upon doing so charged me twice. I called back and was told I would be completely refunded. Then was charged a third time. Costing me more then 45 dollars for two lunch specials and ran goons due to the errors on k's part. I am absolutely infuriated and sick to my stomach. On top of that the restaurant claimed it was not their hair. Because they are all Asian. They said it's a blonde hair. I don't have any blonde hair. My hair is all black. And I have been completely disrespected. They ripped me off 3 times. Just thought you should know. Do not order take out from this establishment. I've only been here one time, and it was pretty bad. I got little bits of grisly chicken and the rice was dried out. When we walked in there was no one around and we had to stand around for a minute before someone came out and seated us, which was kind of strange. read more

One of my favorite local spots, great food, fast service, and reasonable prices..I have had the sweet and sour chicken serveral times and it never disappoints. Crispy chicken pieces, little bits of veggies, and yummy sauce. Beef and shrimp is delicious if you are looking for something on the spicy side. The restaurant could use a little facelift to make it a bit more cozy, which is why I opt to do carry out, but overall its a great place for local chinese! read more

Good, normal, Chinese food to go. This is identical to the take-out in every single town I've ever lived. In Columbus OH it was called "Number One Chinese". In NYC they are ubiquitious. This is one of those places. Totally fine, predictable fast food. I enjoyed the Hunan Chicken with eggroll. Distinguishing aspects: Their hot & sour soup seems vegetarian: tofu instead of pork strips. A bit bland brothwise too. The rice options are just white or fried (no brown / wholegrain rice). There are tables with plastic tablecloths if you want to stay but the location is a bit lonely for eating-in unless you are a group of friends and don't mind being the only ones in there. I am unbelievably pissed after eating here. The food is crap, tasted like it came from one of those frozen brands, not to mention the fact that it took an hour, literally, to get my food to the table. My egg drop soup took a long time too. I visited K's for the first time today and I will definitely be going back. We tried three different dishes and they were all excellent, especially the sesame chicken. The prices are good but I wish the portions were a little bigger. I can see this becoming a regular stop for Asian cuisine. Make sure to order the cream cheese rangoons. read more

I really enjoy K's Oriental. Good food. Friendly family who owns it. Fast service. I am always amazed it's as quiet as it is when I visit. Every time I go I am one or just a couple of people there, but the food is always tasty, the service is spot on and I never have a complaint. My favorite is the bul go gi (korean steak, onions and mushrooms) and they have very good rangoons as well. read more

The food is consistently good, and the price can't be beat. They deliver for orders over $20. No surprises or extra-special items, but one of our favorites for a quick, cheap and filling lunch. We ordered takeout. Hot and sour soup, house special egg foo young, bulgogi, and Szechuan chicken. The soup was thin with a sparse amount of thin slivers of a tasteless white vegetable and a few thin slivers of tofu and nothing else. On at scale on 1 to 10, rating it against other hot sour soups I have had, including locally, I'd rate it a 2. The bulgogi didn't have much meat but did have lots of lots of onions, not very well cut up. Ditto with the chicken. Not much meat but lots and lots of onions and also some cabbage, celery, and some thin strands of carrot. The addition of lots and lots of onions and subtraction of other veggies seems to be a common cost cutting strategy that I've observed at other Asian restaurants I no longer frequent. The egg foo young wasn't bad. But the sauce on the egg foo young tasted the same as the sauce on the chicken which tasted the same as the sauce on the bulgogi. In addition to the bland taste, the color was bland. Everything looked washed out. Both taste wise and aesthetically, this was a disappointing meal. I ate here several times years ago and it was good but it has definitely gone downhill. I'm afraid, I won't be coming back. read more
