This place is popular. It attracts locals and tourists. You park along side of the street (and nearby streets) and enter into FUN! $5 per person entrance fee. There is a couple of food trucks, a market with local items (honeys, jams, hats etc), a candy shop, etc. You walk down the hill and they had a pumpkin patch. All pumpkins are grown in premises. Our family came for the pumpkin patch. Everything was absolutely adorable! Parking was just off the road, generally easy to find on a week day afternoon. The views are amazing up here! I love all of the cute and informative signs. They had a great selection of pumpkins and gourds. In addition they had a really nice photo op setup. In addition to the pumpkins, they had some nice local baked goods and other goods for sale. Love being able to support local operations like this! read more

U Pick Strawberries and the pumpkin patch is the activity but I really like coming here for the chill vibe and the views. It's that pretty they hold weddings here. It's a real farm and they make it educational for the kids which is awesome. What a fun stop to pick up some fresh produce and Knick knacks and catch some fabulous views from the Maui upcountry. We picked up some strawberries, grown right there on site, that were absolutely delicious! Definitely worth a stop if you're on your way to or from Maui bees, Maui Wine, or Ocean Vodka. I wish I took pictures. We arrived right before close and were so delighted to go through all of their items. We got the Cotton Candy Apple and husband said, "that apple was one of juiciest apples he's ever had and it was the best caramel apple." We also got a strawberry lemonade which was tart and refreshing as well as a cookie that was Bussin. We also got a lip balm that feels so nice after this hot weather. Located about 5 minutes away from the farm, we stopped off and were pleasantly surprised with breathtaking views, a few photo ops, a tortoise and plenty of chickens roaming the grounds. What a fun little farm for your whole family to enjoy. Farmers market took place with many small businesses and vendors. Kids bought little Hawaiian stickers to add on their stainless steel tumblers. Options to pick organic strawberries were available. Fun activity for the kids. Views and the grounds were unbelievable overlooking Maui. Perfect picturesque! We enjoyed seeing goats, horses, and tortoise on site. Kids are able to roam around the magical garden. If you get hungry there's food trucks parked inside the farm. Best pumpkin patch experience in Hawaii! With just a $5 admissions fee, You get access to the farm. They also had some vendors selling goods, A cute little coffee truck and a play place for kids with a jumping castle and games to play (additional charges). We just so happened to be visiting ʻohana on Maui during October so we got to checkout KCF's fall/Halloween pumpkin patch. $5 entry per person, donation for parking. The view is gorgeous, there's a few little games for kids to play which cost more money for scripts, but not many, a few food and craft vendors to shop from. I wish the flower garden was open. A lot of photo opportunities as the decorations were cute throughout, especially the landscaping. I wish there was more protection from the rain and wind, and more seating. What an adorable place! I bought the fresh strawberries (highly recommend) and refrained from purchasing everything in the store despite my desire to do so. Kitchen items, jewelry, jam, snacks, plants and more! The woman inside the shop warmly greeted me and my friend. The rest of the farm spoke for itself. Wonderful views despite the overcast weather on the day we stopped by. Lots of outdoor seating and some activities to partake in as you walk around, such as photo walls and a little library. Fresh local produce at a pretty good price (got a huge head of cabbage for under a dollar a lb!!). U-pick strawberries for $6/ basket- fun for the kids. Free little library was a hit also. On a recent day trip to Maui, we made it our first stop to head upcountry and visit some natural sites. Our first was Kula Country Farms to check out their plants, produce, and strawberries, not to mention the view. This was an easy drive from Makawao, right along the road with plenty of parking. The farm is welcoming to walk around. They have gardens plus animals like miniature horses and a tortoise. There are a few stands like a drink trailer with coffee and other things, plus a gift shop and produce store that has all their farm grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers, plus lots of other Maui-produced items from other nearby businesses. Prices were reasonable; we bought a few small things we could easily bring home. One of the main draws here is the viewing platform of the valley below. It's free to walk around and explore; it's a great spot for photos of the island. This is also a kid friendly place for families. If you want to see a working farm and some of the natural beauty of Maui, it's worth stopping here! read more

Love coming to Kula Country Farms when visiting Maui as part of my regular island-hopping weekend getaways. Ever since coming across this wonderful local farm, I have enjoyed their seasonal events like the Pumpkin Patch and their Christmas decorations, plus it is also great to see what other fruits and vegetables they are growing throughout the year. It's a nice spot for a fun day activity for families with young children. It's our first time visiting the farm. They have many instagrammable photo opportunities with the scenery and creative wood photo cutouts. As it's Halloween season, there were many ghosts and witches and skeletons on display. Overall it's atmospheric! I also like that they're a local business and the entrance fees help support them. There is a little petting zoo (rabbits, ducks, goats, and one tired-looking cow) which charges $5 per person for 5 minutes. There are goats roaming around past the fences too. I'm wondering if they're goats from the Surfing Goats Dairy. Parking can be hairy if you come when it's busy. There were food and drink vendors in the farm as well. read more

This is a nice little pitstop while in the upcountry with a coffee cart, a store, amazing views, a small garden and animals all around (mostly chickens). We didn't grab any coffee but the menu seemed to have lots of options. The little store was nice for produce and souvenirs though I wish it were a little bigger with more options. There is a back deck with amazing views and a small fairy garden to one side and a mini sunflower field to the other side. Chickens roam around and they have a pony and a tortoise. If you are going up-country on Maui, Kula Country Farms is worth the stop. For starters, the shop is cute as a button, and the views from there are out of this world. And let's not forget the Tortoise! The shop itself has fresh fruits and veg, basically anything that is in season. Not to mention some super yummy Jams. We got in on the Strawberries that were freshly picked and while not being the oversized grocery story type strawberries, more like the size of the end of your thumb, but packed with flavor. it's a great little shop and totally worth the stop. read more

Had fun the other week driving up country to go strawberry picking. We got there fairly early and there was parking on property and on the side of the road. Uncle gave our baskets and we went picking. It was fun picking and filling up my basket with the strawberries. When we were done, went to have our basket weighed and pay for what we took. While in line, they also have local produce, as well local made products that you can purchase. If you don't want to pick strawberries and just want to buy and eat, they also have packed ones ready to go. I was also surprised that they also had blueberries. I had heard that produce taste different on Haleakalā soil because the mineral deposits so when we were coming down from the sunrise hike, I decided this will be a stop. The shop is not open year round so check before you go. The shop sells lots of produce that is produced on the land above or below the shop. There is a small upick farm for kids and lots of great photo op places. I chatted with the owner (?) and got some strawberries, blueberries, and banana, couldn't get others as we were leaving the next day. The banana was so sweet and rich in flavor. The blueberries has this sour taste but not tart and was so full of flavor. The strawberries have this light mineral taste but still so full of flavor. The price was not high and it was great to get some local produce. This is a great place to stop by since you will be on the way going down the mountain anyway! read more

I always like to stop in here if I'm up in Kula, because they always have new things to see. They are constantly improving the grounds, with lots of kid friendly things to see and do. If I had little kids I would bring them here all the time. I like to browse their small farmstand and pick up a few things I might need. The views are fantastic.
