They have a food court with a Dairy Queen/Orange Julius, Wendy's, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut Express, all with seating. They also have a truck parts store, tourist souvenirs, convenience store items, clothes, and custom truck parts. The place was really clean, especially considering how many people go through there. You will find an actual tractor-trailer truck in the auto parts section of the truck stop. There are a lot of photo ops here at the truck stop, including the tractor-trailers and other vehicles inside, and murals and antique gas pumps outside. There is also a truck museum across the parking lot that is free to visit, but is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. I came here on a Monday, so of course it was closed. If you are coming into or leaving Iowa, this is a must-stop. This place is amazing and has just about everything. The staff there was very friendly too. I am glad I made the stop here, and I did not even need gas.

The lovely young man at the register is trying to tell me in very broken English that they don't sell gas. They have a dozen pumps with a current price on them, yet they no longer sell gas? After some investigating, it turns out they installed new pumps and the fuel tanker was due later today. I liked this guy so much I bought a drink and some chips to help out. You know, a little money in the coffers. The really weird part was the men's room. The stalls were divided up like three tiny little apartments. There were signs all over the place asking people to flush and to keep the restroom clean. How bizarre. They also have a coffee grinder with a sign saying "this is a coffee grinder do not use for coffee", wait...huh? It's a nice little shop with plenty of options and I assume today there's flowing petroleum. The attendant is the friendliest! 05/24

The old McDonald's at Walcott received the overhaul a few years back just around the time of covid I believe. It's still sits right next to the Pilot truck stop has room for a couple of trucks. It's been through different ups and downs through the time good reviews bad reviews good service bad service but over the last year I'd say they've had a really good solid staff I'm surprised I've never reviewed this to this day I've stopped here quite a few times through yrs It does have some nice new soft cushioned boots which are very comfortable to sit in same with the chairs. I came in was created immediately and do what I wanted the only drawback they didn't have Diet Coke on that day or in the back they were waiting on the truck to come with some more. So I had a Big Mac meal no pickle or onion french fries medium size no salt and I also went with a nugget small order four piece sweet and sour. And I opted to have unsweetened iced tea. Quality the food was very good everything was hot and fresh. Bathrooms are very clean. So definitely above average of other ones holding it at four stars it was an outstanding but it was very good.
