I found our six-year-old and four-year-old walking unaccompanied in the parking lot. Not on the sidewalk but in the middle of a busy parking lot. We have spoken to our toddler and young boy about exploring without an adult and some of the horrible things that could have happened. The employee in front who I believe is the owner's wife gave us a smirk and said we were late by 4 minutes. My husband and the owner started to argue which went to screaming and cursing on both sides; because the owner did not think it was a big deal for a 4 year old and a 6 year old that were left in their care, to be out and about roaming in the busy parking lot. To make matters worse the owner shoved and pushed my husband and we had to call 911. With all the amber alerts and child sex trafficking you would think the owner and the staff would realize the mistake, apologize and try to figure out a better way to release children. Police officers were very concerned about children's safety at the location. Officers stated the system in place at the location is horrible. Officers also stated that after speaking to the owner and his wife for 20 minutes, he still didn't understand that it does not matter what you put in your Kumon disclosures that parents sign at time of enrollment, you just can not let a 4 year old and a 6 year old walk out without a parent. The officer commended my husband for not striking back because a lot of people would have.

There are so many aspects that need to be managed, and Chris keeps you and your child on task. He is also very easy to contact, which is SO important. A friend of ours referred us to Chris, and we reached out to him very early in the process, which was very beneficial.
