My daughter has been working with the staff as well as the director, Ms. Cho, for well over a year now. My husband and I are incredibly appreciative to everyone working at this location since my daughter's math skills have dramatically increased from when we started. Let me be clear that you must also make sure your child is doing the required homework at home so to see that progress, you must follow the necessary work that's required outside of the facility. Ms. Cho also is invested in my daughter's progress and if my daughter is having a difficult time with either how long the homework is taking, a new concept, etc., Ms. Cho will "course correct" the lessons and tailor the program to what my daughter needs to be successful. I will continue to refer business to the Kumon center in Aberdeen! The proof is in the "pudding" when you see your child no longer being frustrated or unwilling to do their homework because now they have confidence to be able to tackle their assignments. I cannot recommend this center highly enough! All 3 of my children had Mrs. Cho as their Kumon instructor from a young age and have excelled academically (2 in college - 1 Ivy League, 1 full academic scholarship, and 1 in high school). She takes the time to get to know each student and individualize the learning program to meet each child's needs. The study time is appropriate to each child's age and attention span, and starts them on the road to good study habits as they get older. She is very kind and patient when helping students through concepts where they may be struggling, or when introducing new concepts. But, the children also learn to think independently and be problem-solvers. We chose to study both math and reading but learned so much more! The reading material covers a wide variety of topics - history, science, literature, etc... My children have all benefitted and I would definitely highly recommend this center! read more

Mrs. Cho and her staff immensely helped my son master arithmetic, including the use of fractions. He started working with Mrs. Cho in first grade and quickly progressed both at Kumon and at school, resulting in him being placed in Honors math in middle school!
