Do Not use Kunau Drilling LLC for any buisness at all, especially if you have children. Stay away from the main lot on Lucky Lane and Handle.  Tim Kunau seems to think that it is okay to hire Felons with a history of SEXUAL ASSAULT on minors.  DAVID MICHAEL SCRANTON is a Sex Offender! He is currently working for Kunau on probation having just been let out of prison early this year for serving time on several convictions of RAPING A CHILD! I was one of these children. read more

Very unhappy about what Kunau charged me for to pump and inspect my septic system. I usually have my septic pumped by Williams Septic Service who charged me $375 for a full septic pump July of 2021. We just sold our house so my realtor scheduled the inspection and septic pump with Kunua Drilling as they are who they have used in the past for their clients. I allowed him to do so. When they completed the service and presented me with a bill for $1,075 ($400 for inspection and $675 for pumping). I was shocked by the amount. The technician told me they have had to raise prices due to the increase in disposal costs and fuel prices. I expressed my unhappiness with the price but wrote out the check and sent them on their way. Shame on me for not getting a price quote right!? Out of curiosity I called Williams Sceptic Service and asked them for their pricing for the same service. $375 for pumping and $300 for inspection. I would have saved $400 if I would have went with Williams. I am surprised that Kunau Drilling charges nearly 40% more than their competitors. Buyer beware! Shop around for pricing. It could save you hundreds!!! read more

I cannot express more gratitude for the dedication, honesty and diligence of this company. I sought out Kunau after getting told by other companies that the commercial well we needed drilled "yesterday" would not be possible for at least 3 months. Tim told me he'd get it done and despite a few roadblocks on our end, he delivered as promised and exceeded our expectations. He guided us on some things that really made a difference in the outcome and he was patient with our lack of experience and delays that affected his timeline. Tim Kunau is by far the hardest working individual I have ever met. Do not use this company for home septic issues unless you know exactly what the problem is and do not need any electrical work done on the system. I asked for someone to come and look at my system since I could not tell if it was working and it looked like my tanks were full. I was told a pump truck was needed so they could see everything. Upon arriving, the truck driver told me good news, no pumping needed. The system was working fine. I told them I also had a problem with the alarm float. They looked into it and said the alarm float was bad and replaced it. They said the float shorted out due to the alarm float being connected to power wrong. I asked them to make the connection and they said they could not since it was in the garage. When I called to dispute the charges I was told they could not rewire the alarm since they are not certified electricians yet they were able to wire the new alarm float outside. For the price I paid, they should have at least rewired the float. The low rating is based on them charging me $455 for less than a one hour visit and only the float being replaced. They charged $100 for the float and these are around $40 so quite a mark up. They also charged me two hours of labor for one hour onsite. They said since they had the pump truck there they charged for two hours. I asked why the truck didn't leave immediately when they knew pumping was not needed and I was told because he collects the money. So, they kept a truck and driver onsite doing nothing and charging me an extra $175 just so he could collect the money. The crew was professional and did a decent job. They could have helped me reduce the fee had they let the pump truck leave one they knew no pumping was needed. If you need any electrical done for your septic do not call them since they are not certified electricians! read more

You will NOT be disappointed hiring Kunau!! I'm selling a house with an original well from 1989. Inspection found several problems/repairs needed. Called Kunau to get a 2nd opinion. 2 minutes into the conversation I was convinced I landed with the right contractor. Risa was UBER knowledgeable about wells and aquifers in my neighborhood, as well as local projects. She was able to get me scheduled right away and repaired EVERYTHING that was needed with incredibly affordable pricing! Super great owners; super great personnel. I now can sell our home knowing that the well is in it's best condition given the age of the home/property. read more

Do not use this company you will get screwed. We used them for a new septic system because they gave us the best price and got it done when we needed it. The job was done and they were paid. David who did the work, came back and said it needed a different part and assured us there would be no extra charge. Weeks later we get a bill for over $2000. We fought it as long as we could but Theresa was a horrible person to deal with. The rudest woman we've ever encountered at a company. They threatened to file leans on our home and bring us to court. The backed their employee saying they are not allowed to do pricing and would never say such a thing. They took us to court and then tried to make us pay the $2000 plus what we already paid on top of court fees. We wasted so much time and effort. We settled on the $2000 because we were tired of fighting with then and didn't want to put our home in jeopardy. This is that company TV warns you about. We have found out throughout this they do it often. They get the job and then increase the bid in the end. Stay far away from these people unless you enjoy throwing out money. We were treated very unfairly and these types of companies need to be shut down. read more

Nice people, watch the price. Especially if you have them do extra work; read every detail and make sure they don't have the same work listed more than once because YOU WILL PAY! Initial estimate was 19k, added less than 5k and paid almost thirty 30K!
